  • iIn no way, do I actually claim to be a "Street kid", as this video describes to be all of people who hang out on Haight Street. However, I have hung out with a good amount of people that come here, as braindrum1 put it, "because it's fun", not because they just want to get fucked up on the street for the rest of their life. There have been many enjoyable instances in which I was under the influence of jack shit, but I still the conversation was enjoyable, and the drum circle was great.

  • Looks like shit, im gonna go play ps3

  • ewww

  • i hate bitches like her

  • These dudes are down on Telegraph in Berekeley too.

  • @chilliday people give more of a fuck about the animals you have than they do you. people will give you money for dog food, or theyll go home and get dog food for the dogs, and they wont help you out in any way whatsoever. its ridiculous.

  • Haight is where you go to just take a break from life and fuck you not everyone has millionaires for parents,

They make haight what it is They have a good time kik it and dont cause cancer at all

  • Too late the train moved on down the road !

  • PEACE AND LOVE.

  • I didn't know Kate Hudson was a street kid. (1:12)

  • The street musicians are sure channeling Portishead...quite well, in fact :) I hope they see this! Kudos brother and sister...

  • ewww this kids make me puke like omg nasty

  • @Hellokittygirl68 I'm sorry to hear that. lol

  • Young homeless there is cool, glamorous in a way. When they get old and homeless, then they're the ones they make fun of. Lose your youth and homeless just isn't cool or inspiring anymore, just pathetic. "What do you see for yourself in the future?"

  • go kaptain kitten!

  • You can see those kids at LOOK AT THAT FUCKING OOGLE - LATFO

  • fucking hippie turists gtfo of my dam city

  • This is awesome. I'm working on a film about this area and this sorta makes me wanna rethink my direction. I wonder about these characters. I wonder whether to feel sympathetic or happy that they're comfortable living in that way.

  • The funny thing is, Seattle is the same way. There are tons of crusty kids and gutter punks living on Broadway. I work with a kid who is a punk and he hangs out with a couple crusty kids and he has explained the lifestyle to me and I have to say, it's pretty fucking pathetic to carry around the iphone your grandma bought you and beg for money. I don't like people who expect handouts... become educated and get a fucking job!

  • an iphone that a grandma bought 4 their grandkid is prolly the only way 2 wake them ^ in the morning 2 not get picked ^ by pigs n 2 remember wat it use 2 b like when they actually had a home. ppl who r on the street, yeah, i'll agree w/you 2 a certain extent, left on they're own, but @ the same time got kicked out of they're homes b/c no 1 "supposedly" wanted 2 deal w/they're shit n help them get them on they're feet. Challenge: would you take in a homeless person,n try 2 help them out? hell no

  • fuckin hippie hill kidz

  • Lol when i was a kid, my grandpa used to say "those damn hipsters!!"

I grew familiarity to the people in haight street, their subculture and such..

the ones i'm most familiar with ARE the hipsters,

The ones that value independent thinking, counter-culture, Intelligent's, Creativity and other things in that very free & of course "Independent"

category. I knew the hippies too xD.. smoking weed n Sooo wise. lol..

and this is a 14 year old from daly city.. so nostalgic..

i wonder wut its like now..

  • Great documentary, somewhere I would dearly love to visit

  • I love there music man! I love haight street:) man they inspire me to trave| ;) lol

  • You know what would be awesome? Razing all the businesses on Haight Street and building a Costco or Walmart AND having a zero tolerance policy for people who crowd the sidewalk with their dogs and so forth and say, "Fuck You" when you ask them to please move aside. I avoid that cesspool of an area like the plague. It's about time we buried this idiotic hippie legacy once and for all.

  • I have noticed lots of these young people with beautiful, well fed dogs. How do they take care of them if they're so broke? If they can't feed themselves, how do they take care of animals or children for that matter? People in their 20's are adults. They are not "kids". I saw postings from the musician couple that they just had a baby. They're hawking their music on the web (now that's hippie). I wonder what happened to the rest of the people in the video? Was there any follow up?

  • thank you. the light in their eyes brings me joy.

  • i wonder how bad these people smell

  • @sacredjimi Man, that really makes me want to become a christian...

  • I hang out with some street kids and I guess you could call me one because i sit out there everyday after school and play music with them. Its not just about being houseless its about enjoying what you have in life the way you want to some like to have jobs and security and theres some like these people and myself that would rather sit on the street corner singing songs and enjoying good company i dont ask for money i put a hat down and play guitar and sing like no ones there besides my friends

  • @XxXAlyAppatheticXxX So you're pretending to be homeless? pretty pathetic.

  • @xraygegz5 No Im just a growing musician and all the people out there that I hang out with that are homeless get all the money anyways so.... If you want to say Im "pretending to be homeless" then yes I am.

  • @:45 CRUSTAYYYY DUSSSTAYYY i love you!

  • Of course the Haight didnt look like that when I lived there, I was there in early 80's

  • all the Haight kids would be grown or dead........now....Peace

  • a hot dog definatly a hot dog in my future

  • You can;'t live like this forever, although I realize it is a lot of fun to hop trains and/or be in a crust band. Karl Marx would tell you that you're obligated to work. Learn how to do construction, fix up your squat, and earn the money you need for booze and drugs.

  • dont be scared lol

  • Beautiful- sensitive film. You should be rightly proud of this movie. SI

  • the neo hippie lifestyle has become very formulaic unlike during the late 1960s when it was spontaneous.

i was here in 1984 and hippies were gone. these are street people who are there for drugs who will more on when they get bored and feel they are in a dead end life.

just as there are cops who are little more than criminals, there are neo hippies who are little more than hate-filled assholes.

  • They can do what they want but don't ask me to subsidise their lifestyle.

  • "a hotdog" LOL

  • No way Im also capt kittens

  • @ash90ifications ok who the fuck u callin a fucken bitch i was fucken here where the fuck where u i seen the damn posters he told me his damn self that he left so dont b talkin shit to someone u dont even fuckin no i was just going by what i seen and heard my fucken self damn ur fuckin ignorant

  • @itslisabyotch I called you a bitch thats who. and I think i would know better than anyone as to what the fuck was going on. I am his damn sister after all. So how the fuck you going to call me ignorant? I am the one he still talks to, I am the one that knows everything, and I am the one who has the same father as him and ifyou really knew him you would know he wasnt really from spartanburgh. So once again get your facts straight

  • @itslisabyotch beep

  • captain Kiddleson Is the nicest one out of all of them, Seems like a good kind of guy

  • Why not go to school and get a job? I mean I am just saying...Didnt they see Homeless to Harvard...They do have a choice.

  • @TashaG16 Why not? Because it's against their beliefs. They refuse to conform themselves to that type of lifestyle.

  • i lived as a street kid i was sober most the time farely clean and had legal ways to make money.....so fuck all the haters just because you never had the balls to just get up and leave

  • @kansasoutdoorsnetwok I am a sober traveler also. And from Kansas :)

  • @kansasoutdoorsnetwok have the balls to get up and leave? Or do you mean the balls to give up, and lie around doing nothing but dope. How about having the balls to take responsibility for your life and get a job and pay your bills instead of lying around receiving handouts, and barely being able to be understood on camera because you're so pumped full of chemicals? How about having the balls to remain in school and gaining an education so you can actually spell "fairly" correctly?

  • @raptorsan4375 fuck work do nothing change your wack philosophy and find sum free time

  • @raptorsan4375 I just randomly saw this comment and I must say you seem to be quite a pretentious snob. Go to your job or class or whatever and stop putting down what you think you know. I don't sit around and judge someone for what they choose to do and either should you. I was on the street for a little and it didn't mean I had been pumped full of chemicals. You may have all looked down on me but I look down on how disgustingly judgmental some of you people are.

  • Stupid kid's, Stupid video !! They are trying to get more young dummy's to join them !!!

  • I'm hit up for money every time I go to Amoeba records or eat on Haight Street. Sorry folks but the summer of love ended 43 years ago. Living on the street, getting loaded and begging for change is not revolutionary, its a total waste of 650 million years of evolution. Not to mention annoying for the people who actually live in San Francisco. I know its fun, but its a terrible long term strategy for survival. Remember, when you hit 30 you "graduate" to the Tenderloin. Good luck with that.

  • @Darrylizer1 When I was 19, I drove across country, got dropped off in Salt Lake City, and hitchhiked the rest of the way to San Francisco. I hung on the Haight, went to JGB shows at the Warfield, swung some herb when I was flat broke, and spare changed when needed. I'm 36, have a beautiful home in CT, married, 2 kids and a great job. Me hanging out on the Haight helped shape me to who I am today. Not all of the kids on the Haight are there for survival....they're there because it is fun...

  • This is probably one of the only few places in the world where you can see humanity in the homeless people. Yet in a dozen years you will see them spiral downward into insanity and hardcore drug abuse. What they didn't mention in the video is that most of them are heroin addicts, or any kind of phamaceutical alternatives they can get their hands on.

  • I was one like them back in the early 90's. Skids, Ragdoll, Elise, Miko, Germ and those guys. Wasteland, I-Beam and Double Rainbow. Man, those memories.

And to those arguing and debating about this kind of lifestyle, it's all about CHOICE.

  • The kid says it doesn't hurt to give someone in need some spare change and he's right.

But what if 10, 20, 30 or more people ask you for spare change, day in and day out? You have to start saying no at some point...But then you are a yuppie, fascist piece of shit who values money more than human life.

Some people will tell you money is not important, but those same people will beg for it and do unspeakable things for it.

  • @dport1976 if you think these kids care about money, then you are out of place. they panhandle/busk for survival. not for money. there's a difference.

  • @dport1976 Most of these kid's parents live in those multi-million dollar houses, or chose to live that way.

  • @dport1976 i think what they mean is... altho money is necessary unfortunatley.... a lot of money is not necessary

  • 4:50 this guy seems to have the most sense and speaks the truth.... which is kind of sad, but at least he's realistic.

  • Some of these idiot crusty kids sell fake bammer weed to stupid tourists in this area... If you're looking for good chronic to buy, and you don't want to get ripped off, go somewhere else.

They will do anything to cheese you out of money.

Some kids are honest and sell good weed in that area, but make sure you INSPECT THE BAG, and don't hand it back if you want to buy it. Seriously, if you hand it back, they will switch the bag with some crap while you're not looking, and you will get parsley.

  • @staphinfection good chronic... HAsmokekush

  • I wanna come there for a bit, to show my music but I'm fuckin 38.

  • @scumgod13 Scum, get off your old ass and come kick it on this side of the country for a bit! Love yous, dooder!

  • @krystalnacht29 they allow old scumfucks like me out there? really, I'm going to go somewhere, I might move to Austin TX then I'd be halfway out there. So I show up ya gonna take me around to cool places meet cool peoples?

  • @scumgod13 Scumfucks are welcomedall around. You, my friend, are an honorary ScumGod since you already know the likes of Krack, DRock, and I. We would be more than happy to show you round the way. And you'd always have a place to hang your head and call home! <3

  • @scumgod13 Scumfucks are welcomed all around. You, my friend, are an honorary ScumGod since you already know the likes of Krack, DRock, and I. We would be more than happy to show you round the way. And you'd always have a place to hang your head and call home! <3

  • @krystalnacht29 Hey Baby Girl, I talked to Erik today, he has an 8 month old daughter that he loves to death. His girl has to go to jail for a few months for past shit so he has to do the single father shit. Please tell D ROCK that, he'll be happy to know. Erik was very happy to learn that DRock Mae it out. Can you believe DROCK beat my ass once.I was very drunk and looked at him and said something like i was punk rock before you were born.He flattened me with one swing! how we made friends.

  • Jasmine the pitbull that first appears at 53 seconds in, was put down last night she was 13 years old and had terminal cancer. Not sure if anyone who knows jasmine will read this. she will be missed.

  • @pugofthedeep this comment made me so sad. :( stay strong, crust kids.

  • why the fuck you gonna diss someone you don't know. Ya'll can kiss my ass!! and my bro is in this video and if you don't know the situation as to why they are there then don't fuckin say shit. There is alot of reasons as to why people live like this. Not just because they want to. And yeah society does owe him something. it owes him for putting him through the shit he went through. he didnt ask to live like this but when your on ur own at 12 with no home, food, or anything the streets wut u know

  • i hate midwest juggalo poseur bums!!!

  • @coolcatnot1

Had to strip for 10 years huh? Were you forced at gun point that whole time?

I have the slight taste of bile in my mouth now, after reading the opinion of what appears to be a human cockroach.

If I were one of those kids, asking you for change and you said that shit to me I think the disgust I'd feel would be way too much and I'd just instantly start to gag, and then vomit into your face. Who knows? maybe it would clean some of your filth away.

  • I plan on moving to the haight sanity district only cause I'm so in to the hippie culture and all but it looks like only a small amount of people live in haight that still express the culture has it completely died or are there others out there like me who try to keep the movement alive I know there's is obviously some but I mean in the haight

  • Eh, their kinda cool. I guess their way works too. But I still say shooting everyone up will leave a better impact.

  • I know a lot of the kids in this video, and when your on the street everyone is a kid. Regardless of age. So those of you who are saying there is differernce? Go fuck yourself, I am a street kid and I dont plan on changing, so fuck off, fuck your mother, and fuck you, you piece of shit yuppie pricks!!

  • GAWD DONT YOU JUST WANNA PEE ON SOME PEOPLE! >:(

  • Gotta love the entitlement attitude of the guy at 1:45.

  • That girl singing reminds me of the blond girl in the movie Elf, similar voice too. Why dont they record an album and get signed? They seem to have talent. Do they live on the streets or just hang out there on their free time?

  • @MaharlikaAWA that elf girl is in a band she and him

  • @leland3d Oh ok. But this girl on Haight street reminds me of her sort of. This girl in this video should start a band with her boyfriend and make some money.

  • "they are just people"????? NO they are just drug addicts...

  • @hnymooner yeah maybe, but you are addicted to masterbation so what does that say about you

  • you did a good job on this video

  • I've walked the Haight for years. Born on Stanyan in '69. The people who live in the park or on the street today think anyone who works for a living owes them a cig, money, etc. Some become quite obnoxious when you refuse them because you may have paid your monthly bills and only have a few bucks. They are in a self pity mode and need to grow up and accept responsibility for the life they chose. Nothing new under the sun.

  • @flagwaver1969 Yeah, sure, whatever, your obviously gay and in need of a giant dick in the mouth. because your gay and in need of a giant dick in yur mouth. lol, did I mention you were gay and in need of a giant dick in your mouth???

  • @Vissago22 you need help.

  • @revolution1940 your not making any sense..help with what???

  • @Vissago22 disregard what I said. I agree full heartedly with your statement.

  • @revolution1940 Oh good, I was gonna say..How can you disagree with it?? It makes perfect sense.

  • @flagwaver1969 Yeah I had a street guy and a woman, who came up to me and demanded, not asked, for money. When I refused the guy got belligerent. I punched him in the jaw and knocked him out. I left him lying there in the street. I'm all for helping people but I'm not going to allow motherfuckers to shake me down just cause I'm walking down the street.

  • @BabyButtSmell It was probably a tweaker.

  • @BabyButtSmell should have killed the motherfucker

  • Why do so many rag on these kids? They're living life, just like all you are. Just because they choose to live differently, that makes them "scum"?

They gain a lot of insight on life, and they see the true beauties and as well as the true horrors that the world throws at you.

Nobody knows what it's like to be anybody but themself. Everyone has to find their own meaning in their own life. It's different for everyone. We should all respect eachothers meanings.

  • This is a pretty sweet documentary. I used to live in SF and I miss that city and the Haight... I used to go to hippie hill all the time and get wasted and meet all kinds of cool people. Most of the traveler kids were pretty cool but some of them could be dicks.

  • do those ''street'' musicians have a ''group name''?

  • FUCKING JUNKIES!!!!! HAIGHT IS A CIRCUS!

  • @kinesis420 people don't become junkies for no reason.

  • It's never to late for anything, your suppose to keep the generation going for ever never let it die out. Oi!Oi! thats what an old gutter punk told me, he shall R.I.P now

  • 5:27 is the greatest line ever! LOVE T!

  • all the "kids" in this doc are in their 20's, the words "grow the fuck up" come to mind.

  • @xraygegz5 grow up? how do you know they even had the chance to be kids? judgement = ignorance.

  • @xraygegz5 Maybe you should ''grow up'' because your ignorance really isn't cute.

  • If you payed the least bit of attention to the human beings you consider scum, you'd realize they DO bring something to the table. I've seen those kids walk through the parks picking up the dirty needles around the playgrounds and bike trails throughout Golden Gate Park. I've seen them stop fights, preach peaceful diplomacy, and chastise litterers. I've watched them hug and console one another and laugh together and create safe atmospheres for their friends in need. They're just people

  • @LliasiAsbi That's quite a soap box...preach on my friend, preach on

  • @LliasiAsbi

They stabbed my roommates friend who was a doorman on haight. They take shits nightly in front of my stoop. Their dogs attack my dog. The worst part is a lot of them actually have loving homes to go back to.

  • @LliasiAsbi Trollolololol

  • People. We're all people with good qualities AND flaws. Look within yourself. Recognize that we all seek something, and each of us has to find our own way. If you think they are being "bad", living unhealthy lifestyles, or causing a negative environment for other people, then GO TALK TO THEM. Be a positive influence, not a sniveling whiner. It takes patience and empathy. Don't be cowardly; if you have sense and useful information, go share it! And share it kindly, not forcefully or rudely

  • I understand it can be difficult for anyone who lives in the Haight, but you need to learn to coexist. Trying to shut down the Drop-In centers will NOT solve your problem, it will only increase tension and raise aggression. Spitting, cursing, and yelling at them won't make them go away either. Travelers will always go to Haight-Ashbury, considering its history. Choosing to live in a gentrified area with a reputation, a hippie history..well its pretty obvious what you got yourself into there.

  • So, maybe before you write them all off as losers, consider approaching one or two for a chat. Maybe you could try to get the street youth involved in positive community movements! There's a great resource to be tapped, a group of energetic and lost youth. A lot of them drink out of boredom and peer pressure, give them something to focus on and look forward to and they could do great things. I can relate to them because I was once displaced and confused and needed more guidance, a subtle sort.

  • guy in white hat- forgot his name but i fucking love, and miss him man, i lived on the haight for 4 months this videos kinda cool,..

  • these AREN'T street kids, go to ukraine where there are children from 7+ on the street.

  • Get rid of the street kids! Sit/Lie passed!

  • word up to capnkittens.......if you read this its offer....what it do?

  • Not all "street kids" on Haight are as nice as this. Many of them are extremely aggressive when they ask for money. Three guys with pitbulls came up to me one time on Haight and yelled at me because I wouldn't give them a dollar. I'm a girl and I was by myself. That's scary! I get asked for money 10 times min. in a single day in San Francisco. It is not my responsibility to put the next piece of food in your mouth. I do what I can, but I'm not rich either whether I'm shopping on Haight or not!

  • @SamanthaDishon You're probably a yuppie, offense intended. I lived and partied with street kids for 2 months. I was a graduate of one of the best college prep highschools in the US with a 4.5 GPA and a full scholarship to an honors college. I choose to spend my summer penniless with them, and I learned way more than I learned in school. They are human beings, and if you treated them with more dignity instead of looking down on them, you would find that they would embrace you like family.

  • Ummm...there is no such thing as a 4.5 GPA.

  • ya know, i almost ended up like these people. this is so sad. i think everyone here is missing the point...

  • what a world it would be if everyone took this attitude....

a shitty one with no homes, no medicine, no justice, no freedom, no principles, no clothes for these mendicants to steal to put on their dirty backs, nothing but nihilism and self-centered solipsism. mindlessness and soullessness, that's what i see.

  • these people are the most beautiful people in the world!

  • i no the third kid who said he was from spartanburg sc he actually ran away from his parents and came to myrtle beach and was livein with on of my other friends and they would drink every nite they always had ciggs and he never worked once his dad actually came here and put up posters of him sayin he was missin and he wanted him to come home thats when he dipped and i havent seen him n years but yes as far as im concerned cuz i no him this was all his choice its sad but its the truth

  • @itslisabyotch bullshit. thats my brother. you don't know shit. His "dad" did not go lookin for him and he did not run away from "home". You need to know what your talkin about before you go sayin shit. Everyone on here that wants to say some bullshit bout my bro can personally come get their ass kicked! Its pretty fuckin hard to run away from a fuckin home you never had bitch. So get your fuckin story straight

  • hella hippie.

    interesting part of the city

  • These guys aren't kids. You're not a kid when you're 22, 24 or 28. You're a kid when you're 15 or 16, then you just gotta take some damn responsibility.

  • @SkystopVlog I agree , if they really want the to make the world better fairer place there's lots of positive things they could do with their lives, train as a teacher or nurse , do voluntary work, actively support environmental movements etc etc.

  • Very poor choices those kids are making, all that booze , dope , traffic pollution and poor diet will affect their health later on. I do understand them as I was once similiar in outlook but there is no future in dropping out of society in this way. The guy who "would like to own land , grow food and be self sufficient" is typical ; he has no idea of the effort and skills needed for that.

  • are you kidding me? fuck street kids... travel?! travel where? up and down haight??? they are b u m s. normal people move from wherever they live to san francisco and get a job, start making money... i dont shop on haight, i LIVE on haight, my rent is expensive, i am fucking broke, they think everyone on haight can afford to "kick down" money... F U C K T H A T. i'll kick em down a fuckin bullet from my gun. stop drinking, stop doing drugs, take a shower, sell your dog and get a job

  • @theeightysrocked

you spend all your money on a apartment and work..thats no life these guys travel around and are free from your bs. haight st is a meeting ground for these guys like destination and most do leave and travel and come and go.i feel sry for you that you deiced to live in a high cost place and waste your money when you could be squatting or living somewere were rent isent so insane..you probably are some kind of wanna be yuppie scum anyways..

  • @LowlifeHighlivin You don't make any sense. First of all, you don't spend money on your work. I think it's funny that you are actually hating on someone for making money and supporting themselves. So all people that can afford an apartment in the Haight are yuppies? Yea, squatting is really making something of yourself.

  • @LowlifeHighlivin

Yes the rents in SF are insane, but I make more money here. Living out doors in the weather? No thanks, I'll take my nice warm and dry apt., my computer, TV, car, healthcare and my satisfying and fairly cushy job over bumming in the street any day. I can travel too, by plane, train or automobile because I have money. Have fun in the rain!

  • @Darrylizer1 Your ignorant to the fact that some people dont Need all that shit, and happen to Naturally be free spirits. I know a kid whos exactly like that, His parents happen to be filthy rich, He could go home and take the money that his fathers been saving for him all his life but he chooses to be Free from that technical shit and live on the streets, He is a fairly happy person and loves the life he has chosen. It takes a very Special outgoing kinda person to be able to do without.

  • @AliensexKitten000 So your friend can quit his lifestyle any time he wants and go home and live off his filthy rich mommy and daddy? Talk about a trustafarian phony. I've been on my own since I was 18 and have done fairly well by working/creating, not by sucking off the work of others like some useless parasite. Of course your friend is happy, he can quit any time and be taken care of like the useless child he is. Is his name Johnny Favor?

  • werry sad,,,,MT PEOPLE,,,SHIT LIFE...COME HERE TO TELAVIV

  • @okoskutya35 are you isreali or retarded. its sad only insofar as our society tolerates these fuckin moochers. they live the way they do COMPLETELY by choice. as far as i'm concerned they deserve every bad thing that comes their way. They chose to get high and drink and harass ppl for money all day. they deserve to do forced labor.

  • your all about 40 years too late.. the summer of love was in 1967... its done, find somewhere new

  • Fantastic short film, fantastic people!

  • Get a job u Hippie... Give back to society and stop taking!!

  • Some of these kids are the nicest people you will meet, when I lived there I would always give them some money and they really appreciate. I guess all these kids have each other and better than what their families at home could give them. I just wonder if any of them ever get off the street. Oh and not all of them use their money on drugs!

  • Where do these street kids and street punks get money to but piercings and get tattoos, also some have breed dogs where do they the money for them. Why do some come from across the other side of America to be homeless in S.F.?

  • @zippykippy1 as a streetkid, you're always looking for something better, remember the grass is always greener ... you runaway from what you can't deal with, and when traveling is the only positive thing in your life, you stick to it. oh and you'd be surprise what you can pierce and tattoo with no money ...

  • isn't that chick singing the fucked up girl from intervention?

  • Extraordinary film- congratulations!

  • Dropping out of mainstream, shallow, consumer culture is great. But then what?

If you're just living off the scraps, crumbs and waste of the successful pirates of the very culture you're meant to be against?...then you're still dependent on it, right?

Where are the sustainable counter-culture communities?

  • to hell with these losers... they are pan handlers all of them no matter what they say... in the end they will all be strung out and selling their bodies if they arent alrdy...

  • self sustaining! yea lets do it I like that idea. Want to build an earthship community and all the punks, hippies, drifters, social outcasts, artists, dreamers, thinkers, visionaries ... work with our hands and be rewarded by our hard work instead of suffering working for corruption, greed, and hatred...

  • @axishp93 this sounds like hipster runoff commentary

  • that was very interesting but also made me kinda sad.....lost souls...cause they just refuse to join in the stupid senseless lifestyle society has concocted for them...you cant really blame them

  • To the dude with the nose ring; Society doesn't owe you anything so get off of your lazy ass and get a job. Have some pride in yourself for once in your life.

  • @gib412 I do agree that society owes him nothing as far as currency goes. However, you are oblivious in your words. If getting a job was as easy as some claim it to be, many would have them already.

Can't have pride when you were never shown what it was.

  • if "freedom" and rejection of a messed up society means hanging out in commercial tourist areas of cities begging for change from fat midwestern a holes i think ill keep my job washing dishes for the totally cool and respectable guy i work for. at least im not dependent on nobody for nothin. i dont like scraping dried bits of crap off plates but at least im not a beggar. not everyone who moves out young and dont like "society" have to by into the "street kid" zeitgeist thats been sold to em

  • 5:11 ... his delayed response made me sad.

  • @JakeMansonNYC Your ignorance is useless.

    Fucking moron.

  • Sounds like home to me

  • WHAT A BUNCH OF TARDS.

  • @stevencortez444 better watch it bud.You can easily end up in that situation one day.

  • used to live on the street in sfc. grew up in the bay area most kids on haight are cool. some have homes and parents and don't need to beg. a lot of kids sell fake LSD and pot to score smack. it is better to give food to people. the money gets shot, smoked, swallowed, snorted...it's possible to live a life that is healthy and fun and not be a drone. you can get high as well. it's actually possible. yeah, a lot of people can give a quarter, but 20 people ask a day. go north. grow or trim pot.

  • @xXLuxuryProblemXx this guy said that my comment is not true. that haight street kids use money for all sorts of stuff. no drugs. well, let me tell you. one, obviously at one point or another, you are going to buy a dougnut or a soda or something as did I. it is true about the money and the drugs though. don't kid yourself. you were probably in diapers when I was out there and things do change. what I said is true though because I used to do it. you were probably sick that day.

  • @timothymstern Things have changed, I've been living on the streets for a while now thank you and I have interacted with these kids. The spanging sucks on Haight now and days and the kids are lucky enough to afford McDonald's so don't kid your self.
