I'm not saying they are genius' or anything but they are brighter or warier than the average fish. Some of the fish in my town are estimated to be 20-50 years old, thats crazy. They travel in huge packs in the rapids where i fish and if you watch them they seem to have a routine of swimming alongside the dam sucking the bottom of the cement.

They are a pain in the ass for swimmers though, they scare kids from swimming, and I've had to remove some and relocate them 20miles, but they come back

I really don't like Carp of any kind, unless they are a native species. I don't have the heart to kill them though. They are so large, I feel sorry for them when they are killed. They seem to be rather intelligent since they readily turndown things if you throw it at them. You can put something in front of it and it will stay there sucking the ground and once it gets to your bait it will run off. They are good observers.

lol i caught a carp that was 34 pds on a fishing trip with ma church =P and on that same day they were having a little lottery on a bud light cooler with 30 packs of beer in it, and i won that 2 xD
