  • TIL that Michael Ian Black was the voice and hand behind the Pets.com dog.

  • I have that dog puppet

I have the 2000 puppet from holidays. <3

  • "Look, I am a professional happy puppet thing." ......I can't even begin to tell you how many times my boyfriend has said that to get me to play with the elephant trunk loin cloth he bought to use on Valentines day...............If you're reading this Adam, AIN'T GONNA HAPPEN.

  • How can they do this to socks? the HORROR.... Beyond funny even today.

  • Oh, man, I miss that one commercial: "DON'T GIVE UP! DON'T GIVE UP!" :D

  • how can they do this to socks, oh no.....the horror!

hehehe i miss this soooooooo much.

  • I missed the 1990 parade because I had to work. I hope that more footage of 1990 can be posted. Thanks for posting this.

  • @mkl62 pretty sure this was 1999. pets.com kinda didn't exist before then. just sayin

  • @krazykarl0920 The Internet had not quite made an impact in 1990. It was in its infancy, then.

  • @mkl62 @krazykarl0920 that footage was definitely from the 1999 parade because pets.com was one of the most notable failures of the dot com bubble. (it was founded in feb '99, closed nov '00). i don't know why you keep mentioning 1990.

  • @phoneoperator I typed in the 1990 parade and this came up. Go figure. But I did see the entire 1999 Macy's Parade. I live in South Carolina and the Silver Bluff High Band marched in the parade that year. In 1994, they marched in the Philadelphia Thanksgiving Parade.

  • Iguana is NOT amused!

  • I was the truck driver.

  • LOL !!! I miss these.

  • this is shit sorry bot monrgels 100 times better

  • You're blocked as a sock puppet.

  • Ok we'll just take two pieces of turkey over here thanks a lot...LMFAO

  • Michael Ian Black actually puts effort into these performances, that's what makes them funny.

  • 1:25 xD Hahahahaha!!! So cute!

  • I lluuuuved this guy! "The "Horror" was one of the best! I wish he was still on TV! Sock puppets are our friends. LOL!

  • Oh wow, I had no idea he was in the Thanksgiving Parade! How appropriate for today! These make me laugh every every every time..."Come on...I see the delivery for the Parakeet"..."I'll give you threee dolllaaars"

  • "maxx your gonna give me a concussion"

    XD

  • uh oh, Mistletoe! who wants to kiss a puppet?

  • I laugh every time he says, "Hey, Max, you're gonna give me a concussion!".

  • I love Michael Ian Black! He voices these commercials!

  • My mom just got me a puppet and I LOVE SKIPPY! I am having so much fun with him! I'm going to take him with me to school today!

  • I think I love you! I am so excited someone has these up. I loved these commercials so much that I bought the talking puppet when I found it at Toys 'R' Us or somewhere like that. I still have it. And, no, I wouldn't part with for anything less than an obscene amount of money, so forget it.

My favorite was always the Christmas ad, but happy puppet thing and I'm here to play with the tabby cat rank right up there!

  • man i remember these commercials. can you believe that was already 10 year ago! kinda sad, after the company went belly up the puppet got into those stupid Barnun commercials which makes no sense because its an insurance company and has nothing to do with pets

  • what goes up, must come down; how ironic lol

  • tha bar none commercialz r still on...

  • omg i loved those commercials!!!

    *tear tear* good times

  • 1:42 xD ROFL

  • hey i have that pupet

  • ITS MICHEAL IAN BLACK!

  • i have that pupet

  • Thank you so much for posting this!!! I loved these commercials! It's so fun to see them again!

  • "What goes up, must come down" Kind of like their stock. How ironic.

  • lol my kind of party thats wheird thers barnon they still have a commecol of it

  • This is my kinda party!

  • Dude thanks for posting this!!!!!! These commercials were the best.

  • i miss these ads.... the poor company ...sigh

  • hilarious

  • aww I miss these commercials...

  • "... purely in an advisory role..." I remember these ads from when I visited the US for Thanksgiving in 2000. Had a great time and wish I'd bought the puppet!

  • The horror!

Oh man I miss those ads.

  • These are great commercials. They make me wish the company was still in business; even though I don't own a pet I might have ordered something from them just because the ads are so much fun and to get one of those cool-looking shipping boxes.

  • when he bangs on the door with the puppet! haha!

  • You should check my own commercials

  • Three dollars...

    What did you say?

    ..fo..four dollars!

  • 1991-January 2001.

  • 1999,Not 1991-January 2001.

  • "the new millenah- millenium!"

  • left out the best

if you leave me now, you take away the biggest part of me...

  • damn, i just watched those commercials for the first time, and i LOVE them! they are hilarious :) i can only imagine the whole buzz around this socket dog and pets dot com, cause it didn't leak to Poland back then ;) too bad.

  • Yes, these ads are absolutely symbolic of the year 1999 in America. Pets dot comm was the poster company for the dot comm revolution (before it turned into a "bubble") and the ads were played everywhere constantly. Seeing them again is like traveling back to the happy times at the end of the 20th century, before the bubble burst, before the 2000 election, before 9/11, before the Iraq war, before the world went mad.

  • yea, i know exactly what you mean.

but the good ol' times will never be back i guess.. :/

  • Nothing canbeat the 90's.........

  • I was thinking the same thing, except all that Y2K stuff everyone talked about. Funny how these bubbles always burst before an election. What will the world be like in 2016? Its anyone's guess.

  • "How could they do this to socks, oh no.. ..The Horror.."

  • Poor you.

  • COOL. Note: Everyone deserves a second chance!

  • I think about Barnone's '02 Tow Truck Commercial when I sleep every night.

  • Unfortunatly, this is Michael Ian Black's best known and popular work to date.

  • I miss funny commercials like this.

  • naughty puppet (licking scene)

  • Dude, this is so nostalgic. I miss these commercials.

  • "Woa, you got stuffed things! I love stuffed things!" I actually own the sock puppet... oops.

  • "What goes up, must come down.." freakily prophetic.

  • 1999 is back baby!

  • LOL

  • He was great. To hell with Triumph the insult dog!

  • i love that sock doggie!!
