I think people should be broadly educated on a multitude of issues among them proper nutrition and exercise.

**aside: My sentiments on cigarette smoking are very absolute. I think no one has the right to impose his or her addiction to nicotine on the public.

We're a country of fat people by-in-large and the correction to the problem lies in education and restraint.

I couldn't agree more. If we are to cut the health care costs it must start early and with good habits and preventive care. I have a sister who is terribly overweight and cries about it as if she has no choice. She's the only one in the family. My other sister chose to smoke 3 packs a day for 30 years and now cries over having COPD (cronic obstructive pulmonary disease) as if she had no choice.

It saddens me but I can't help them.
