No, homosexuality has nothing to do with Desslock's voice. Eddie Allen, the American voice actor who performed the dub, modelled him after Boris Karloff. Watch some of Karloff's films, and then listen to Desslock again. I thought it was a great choice, actually. Who would have thought.
