I've had this cut most of my life! And most of the time...I do it myself but I do it a little differently. You can also turn your head upside down and cut your hair and get the same effect. It used to be known as the Flat Top Shag....just a bit if hair trivia for you lol

For so many years I've wanted waist length hair, but every time I went to the salon to "trim" my hair, the hairdresser would just cut like 5 inches or more! So I decided that I should cut my own hair, so I've watched almost every video on youtube about cutting hair at home, I have tried them all and my hair would always turn out fine but I didn't really love it, and the last time it turned out uneven. Lovely video, first of all, but what you just cut looks to me like Square Layers because you cut all of your sections at 180 degrees (straight up and down). Whereas, Round Layers are cut at 90 degrees (completely following the silhouette and shape of the head). But, I totally love this video. Thanks so much for uploading.

I just cut my hair to your tutorial and it turned out pretty good! I got kinda of scared and left some longer pieces in the back, my hair is pretty long. It kinda of looked funny with hair straight so i redid some pieces but even more longer layers. I love it can't wait to curl my hair it will all blend in so well!
