This piece alone is enough to make me decide that Albinoni is one of the top five composers I've ever had the pleasure of listening to. This is equal to anything written by Bach or Chopin, and better than any Brahms or Mozart I've heard.

Oboe can be an effective instrument to express beauty as other more popular ones like piano and violin. This is the piece to testify that and its melody always echoes in my mind. Great performance. A+

I own a CD of this piece by another ensemble and I like the improvisation of the oboist here. I now own the 3 disc CD set that this was taken from. It is very unlikely that I would have done so if I hadn't first heard it here. I agree with you regarding stealing the work of others but that is not how I use this service. If I find a piece I like, I purchase it. In this instance having this posted here was a good thing for the producers of this CD, as it created a sale.

Tomaso Albinoni never composed a more moving & exquisitely beautiful piece of music than the adagio from his "Concerto for Oboe in D minor". A really great video of Venice too, & a worthy accompaniment to Albinoni's music.

It is. The first and last movements are in D minor; the middle movement is in a contrasting (though closely related) major key — B flat major.
