  • Joe Castillo, It was wonderul to see you at the Arkansas Youth Conference, held at the State House Convention Center. On April 8th and 9th. Your Sand Art is truly a blessing! May God be Gorified an Honored through this wonderful gift God has Blessed you with. Praying for you to get many people to view your Sand Art so you can bless others in New York City! May the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords be lifted up in New York!! I am a member of East Union Missonary Baptist Church.

  • i saw this live....simply powerful

  • Joe..you have done something with sand and make it alive. Sand makes glass but you have created what is already exisiting. I love your art...Religion is not what you have. You have the Lord of Life, Savior, Redeemer, Friend in your life and it shows spectacularly.

  • I saw you perform this live; it was simply amazing. Our kids were moved, and inspired by your artwork, especially this one! Thank you for sharing your gift with the world.

  • The only thing that keeps me guessing is the red picture. Should I see something or is it abstract?

  • I'm an athiest, but I still think this is beautiful art

  • this is really nice, the pasion of christ could be one of the best of these arts, i, for one think it is! thank u for the vid. =] keep it up

  • This is very moving! I appreciated the way you so reverently illustrated the Truth about The One Who did it all for us! Thank you!

  • Great!

  • Blessings from the deep forests of Finland.

  • 90% of the time I have to wait for videos to buffer. This took over 5 minutes on this one. THEN I can look at it with no interruptions when I REPLAY. I heard YouTube did something to make it "better" but I wish they would go back to the old way.

I have seen this man's work on the "Face of Christ" sketch; did not know he did this, too. He is really using the talen God gave him. AMAZING!!!!

  • google Doe's Account. mindblowing.

  • and this is beutiful work bu i was reading that comment made by mahdesimon. why is it sooo horrible for this sand art to promote religion. plus. it does clearly show what happened. i mean Jesus Christ is history. its not just a storry! this man does an amazing job protraying what Jesus did for us. Im 13 years old iand i can even see the real beuty and talent in this work. Amazing piece of art! it is the only time i have seen a sand art on the passion. :)

  • OMG, WTF!!! AMAZING AND WELL DONE!!!

  • @Sn0gi how are you going to say "wtf" when it's speaking the word of God. that's just wrong.

  • @MrsNickJonas53095 You gotta chill, i dont mean it that way. Its not like im hurting some one ?. But I do understand you and youre right wiht youre point. I juz think this art is amazing & it is almost unbelieveble, thats why i said wtf like OMG incredible you know. I didnt ment to hurt anyones feelings with this ore the religion, ofcourse not...

  • i think it is coool that you make use of your talent to "promote religion"! i truly appreciate your art work and your theme!make good use of your gift!

  • No offense.. but this is no where near as good as the girl from Ukraine.

  • @piratebrentos

she is talented, but had a lot of time to practice for a T.V. show/contest. a bit different

  • Thank you mahdesimon, The SandStory is not to promote a religion. It is intended to tell the story of the one who loved all of us enough to die for our failures and then rise from the dead to prove his love.

  • @JoeCastillo This is amazing. I think it's awesome that there's someone using their talents to glorify the one who saved us

  • @JoeCastillo .....it promotes religious views

  • @JoeCastillo It certainly sounds religious when you put it that way.

  • why is it too bad?

  • @mahdesimon please do not be a downer

  • @mahdesimon NIGGA HE DO GOT TALENT AND IT DONT MATTER WHAT HE USE IT FOR AT LEAST HE USING IT TO SHOW NO TALENT MUTHAPHUKAS LIKE SO SHUT THE FUK UP ND STOP BEING A FUKIN BUZZ KILL BITCH

  • @mahdesimon Would you rather promote Satan by promoting self, sin, and self-exaltation?!

  • this guy was at my school today for our chapel it was really cool

  • Yeah he was at our school in San Jose for chapel on Wednesday, pretty sick

  • @DustinAbarca do you go to valley?

  • BEAUTIFUL, WOW YOU ARE BLESSED

  • even some people arent religious... they should still appreciate the beauty of this piece. its breath taking...

  • You are right, GeishaCat, I am atheist but I really liked this video.

    Art doesn´t have religion

  • such great story telling.

  • winterfest

    rightt?/

    haha

    it was so much fun.

  • i love how typical christians love recreating the worst moment in jesus' life... like seriously... why the hell do you all wear cursafixes thats retarted like... if god were real and he sent his son back to earth and all his people were wear a wooden picture of the day he died i would freak the fuck out if i were him.... you silly christians... your all jumping head 1st into an empty pool.... enjoy living a lie.

  • Do you ever wonder why you're such an unhappy person? Why you feel so cynical? Why you feel so empty inside? We believe that Jesus died to bear the burden of our sins, to save us from ourselves. It's not a story of defeat, it's a story of triumph. That's why we wear the symbol of the cross.

  • Except of course, is the story of triumph is his resurrection, not his death...

  • he might not be unhappy, don't lets assume things XD~!!!

  • amen to that

  • it was the worst day because it was our best day. in that moment, he was punishes as if he had lived my life. and im treated as if i had lived his. God turned away from Christ int hat moment. and thats incredibly beautiful. thats salvation. that is grace. thats what i believe:D

  • Well said Pooki and Knights

  • yes you may think its a lie, but we recreate it so we can understand what our lord who created this beautiful world and all in it, died for you and me. Us a sinful people who betrayed with him. sometimes people like to see Jesus as our savior not our master. That could be why some people wear their crosses. I'm not yeling at u to beleive. I just hope someone in your life, whether you know them or not, that God will use them in the best way possible for you.

  • dude i was there and i loved it! i'm going again!

  • very ncie

  • yeah i was at winterfest this weekend

    really awesome

  • hes using a black light... i saw him perform. thats how he gets teh diff't contours

  • It's not really a black light. It's actually a small projector that bounces images off a mirror and onto glass. Cool thing is - the audio and video are run off an ipod.

  • How do you do that? Thats unbelievable.

  • greattttttttttttttttttt IF ANYONE got more videos plz reply me

  • OMG!!!this is sooo coool.I love this vid.Can u tell me what's the name of the song?

  • i know this isnt sand art but if you like this i think you might this guy:spraymanart

    look at his spraypaint art

  • Your work is so unique, so inspiring..May the Lord continue to use your wonderful, creative hands for His glory.

  • "The Lord" gave him nothing practice did why bring religoin into it when hes just trying to demonstrate great art?

  • sorry but i don't agree with you that God didn't give him that talent. I believe that God gives everyone a talent, and then at some point or another he helps you figure out what it is. For most people i know their "God Given Talent" is something that they are naturally good at and they enjoy doing. It says in the Bible, Gods word, that he gives every person a gift, 1 Peter 4:10. It also says in the bible that if we don't use our gifts that he will take them away, because he gave them to share.

  • @FunkyDoggie

His god given talent may not be the artistry in the sand - maybe it's his ability to communicate a message. I wouldn't quote the bible and then judge in the same comment

  • The music was awesome

  • wait, thats sand?

  • aside from the fact its religious mumbo jumbo that is really sweet art and i can appreciate that.

  • Amazing

  • Holy. Crap. Only one of those words are in the video. And dang, that was awesome!!! People are going to remember this for a LONG time.

  • you know i gotta be honest the first one was the only real impressive one for me...the other ones were kinda mediocore.

  • i dont really believe in or like christianity, but this is so fucking epic.

  • beautiful and inspiring

  • thats amazing!
