Is that a pre 3.1 version of Windows? It looks pretty good, similar to UNIX-type GUI's. I generally don't like Windows (I am honestly sick of it...) but the look and feel of the Windows version on this video is much to my taste. Very nice.

Okay, this is odd, why is ‘desktop’ so significant here? Quantel was already doing this (and much more) in the late 1970s/early 1980s.

@goingwithzed. yes (I got *that*), but it's nowhere near useful or commercially viable in that form. The thing I meant was, that it was touted as new. Quantel was also computerized, though it was integrated to a point that it barely resembled an ‘ordinary’ computer (or PC, rather).
