  • can i play guitar hero pc with ps3 guitar ?

  • Is there any way of playing Co-Op play?

  • @TheFunny2250 i heard something of that, id also like to know. i thing u just need to plug that thing in and start playing:d and download the 1.30/1.31 patch

  • @gabrocki The PS3 guitar would probably not work that easily. If GlovePIE can recognize the dongle, then you can make a GlovePIE script for GH or any other game.

  • does this works on other guitar hero versions? like guitar hero 4 world tour?

  • @Nintendo129 Why not? As long as they have keyboard support, GlovePIE can make a script.

  • I was woundering to play the pc version is it on disc or only a download?

  • @SteveoMagician They sell a disc + Xplorer bundle andI think they finally sell the disc alone.

  • @TheFunny2250 I don't know but GlovePIE may support the PS3dongle. I know it supports the PS3 Blu-ray Remote, but that's over Bluetooth. GlovePIE isn't just for Bluetooth devices though.

  • @CZroe hello, sir:D

i wanna buy a guitar for Guitar hero 3, or guitar hero world tour. nt sure yet, i have GH3 cracked, but i want an original version of GHWT or GH3. id like to buy a Les paul guitar, not an xplorer.. the xplorer is small and wired and all that shit. so, can i use a ps3 or any type of Les paul guitar, for windows xp, GHWT or GH3, without using any other programs? will my pc and games recognize the device?

anyone who can help me, pls reply

    thank u

  • @gabrocki I don't think they will recognize the PS3 guitar but they will probably recognize the wired XBOX 360 guitars (at least the Xplorer). If GlovePIE supports the PS3 dongle, then you can at least make it work by force.

  • @CZroe i wouldnt needan xplorer... and i wont spend unnecessary money on plugin stuff and all that..

  • @gabrocki Bluetooth is very useful in a PC so it isn't always an unnecessary expense. You may already have it and not know it. You can use it to pair phones, headsets, wireless mice and keyboards (dongle-free!), game controllers, and more. In fact, some wireless mouse and keyboard sets are Bluetooth and the dongle is just a Bluetooth adapter. I use it in my M11x notebook for my Razer Orochi mouse, iPhone 4 (Internet tethering), wireless headphones w/remote, and more.

  • @CZroe no, i dont have any, thats for sure. i was looking for it someday cause i needed it but no..:(

  • @gabrocki Well, the USB Bluetooth dongles are usually under $10 if you don't have it built-in.

  • are you using ''JoyToKey''? if you are then could you tell me how do you put strum on a strum bar? i just can't figure it out...

  • @skywalkerivica No, I'm using GlovePIE. There are many guides.

  • If anyone has Legends of Rock on Wii, my FriendCode is 051816171064

  • Is the Wii guitar a USB 2.0 plug? Cause idk how you could plug it in. Also, Nice computer specs, installing my GH3 on my new comp. :D

  • @BeefDomination It's all explained. The Wii uses Bluetooth. Bluetooth is like a wireless I/O standard... not unlike a kind of "Wireless USB"

If you have a Bluetooth dongle on your PC, you can pair it and us a program called GlovePIE to convert the input to button / key presses and mouse input.

  • hey i have a pc..n a real guitar..can i connect my REAL guitar to this game n play????

  • @ninjaduderantaro Actually, if you know how to write software to analyze the notes and convert to game input, you can. :)

  • wait if u hav p2 how do your connect your wirrles chip to yor playstaton2 some one help me

  • @ssrick45 I'm not sure what you are talking about. The PS2 wireless guitars have a USB or controller port dongle. The PS2 does not support Bluetooth and there is no good way to use a Wii guitar like thi on it.

  • you can publish the script ? what version of glove pie you use ?

  • @jpcerrone Whatever was around in 2007. Much better scripts are published all over. Read the description.

  • i have 1 question.. i have me wii with GH World ture and wii guitar for play. but me wii cant read disc enymore :s. so i was looking to buy GH III for pc xD.. so me question is.. can i play Gh III in pc with me normal wii guitar? waiting for ur answers :]

  • Do Your Pc Have Bluetooth?

  • @hiws1 Uhh... yeah. That's the only way to pair it. It's in the description!

  • @CZroe lol i wrote that comment 11 month ago.. -.-

  • @hiws1 And I posted the video years ago. Also, answers are for everyone's sake. It's why these conversations aren't held via private message. :)

  • @Zitox2010 Umm... that's exactly what we did in the video. It takes some additional setup and you need a Bluetooth dongle, but it works.

  • where do you get the guitar from?

  • @jblast111 Bought the game on Wii. The guitars are also sold separately.

  • I have a question I downloaded Guitar hero On my PC and i dont have a guitar can i play it with keyboard ?

  • Yes, but why? Buy the game! It's cheap.

Please don't make it any harder for the PC gaming industry.

  • @CZroe =( they dont sell the game where i live and

  • Sorry to hear that. I guess a guitar makes it large and more difficult to import.

  • @CZroe Thank You man ;)

  • Yes u can. I higly recommend you to buy a X-Plorer guitar with wire, so u can play it with guitar:)

  • @golillefod98 Thank You

  • no problem:)

  • yes

  • @mindxhelldest Yup u can lol but its hard u can only play it on easy the rest will be hard unless u got a proper keyboard which u flip over and play it like a guitar.

  • @Compability thanks bro :)

  • This might have been answered somewhere already but how did you hookup the guitar to the pc? i know nothing about consoles only PC. Im assuming there's an Wii/PS2/3 to usb adapter no?

  • The significance is that the Wii Remotes use Bluetooth hardware with proprietary input signals (no standard profile), though there is no Bluetooth logo. GlovePIE is a program that can interpret the input from the Wii Remote and convert it to PC input (keyboard presses, mouse movent, etc). The guitar docks with the wireless Wii remote (the thing with the lights) to connect to the PC.

  • CZroe, This video is definently ok.

  • Thanks and thanks for supporting the PC as a serious gaming platform. :)

  • wow! that's cool I wrote my own script before watching this, my scrip is nowhere as detailed as yours :)

  • i used to do with with FOF i had lag problems though.

  • whammy sucks!

  • hey, guys! i have a problem with a guitar hero guitar i just bought! when i'm playing co-op, i have 1 player that's a bot and i'm player 2 and when the song is loading, the game crashes! i need help!!!

  • yeah nice computer, but why use so much space for that crap, when u can pay alot lot more for smaller and even better systems ;-)

  • What are you talking about? That system was a huge value & it's been cheaply upgraded many times since.

If you mean consoles, you're wrong. Even back then my PC could easily run most things@1080p. Most consoles internally render games@sub-HD resolutions w/a few tricks to simulate 720p or 1080i then MAYBE scale to the desired resolution (XBOX 360's ANA/HANA scaler chip).

PC games are also MUCH cheaper & have better DirectX10 effects.

There are a PS3 & Wii there too (for exclusives); see?

  • As for space, it's clearly on the computer desk, not wasting home theater shelf space. They are beside each other because it's a one-room loft-style apartment.

Even then, you seem to be ignoring the awesomeness that is Media Center/HTPCs. I took the PC w/me when I moved across the country but he now has a dual QAM quad NTSC tuner Win7 Ultimate HTPC streaming everything I want to watch. It EARNED its place on the shelf.

I now run the PC through my room's wall when I want to use the 65" TV.

  • @CZroe

    That's 4x QAM, 4x NTSC tuners.

More HD recordings than I can watch...and I love it.

  • Try my script

you probably will have to change the button mappings.

  • Thanks!

  • now THIS is a fckning computer entertainment system!

  • Wow, thats a big Computer ;d

  • he just ran a splitter cable from his tower to his tv and monitor....i have one just like it :)

  • @BrandoGarde No, it's a dual DVI video card with two DVI cables outputting in multi-monitor mode (hence the comment about SLI being disabled). Notice that we dragged the window from one display to the other? HDMI and DVI are compatible with a simple adapter. Most video cards include them.

  • nice pc!!

  • What the heck?! This video used to work on my iPhone, but YouTube no longer allows it! Says "not compatible with iPhone." I couldn't find it when searching in the iPhone YouTube app, so I had to look up a YouTube link through Google.

  • awesome!

can i also use an wii guitar from guitar hero world tour?

or is this only possible with a les paul controller?

  • the wii is bluetooth so this sets it up to work on bluetooth motherboards. (or with an adapter)

also usb is for computer as well so the console versions for both xbox 360 and ps3 work, or use a playstion 2 to usb adapter. (or the pack in controller, or the keyboard)

the pc version has better graphics i think.. but i dont play these games

  • cool

  • do you ever experience a slight delay in the game because i do even with a core 2 duo and a 8800gt

  • I didn't play the PC version very much, but it ran well on my system. I believe there are some PC-specific options for sound delays...while the console versions only had adjustments for video delays.

I'm sure even a fast PC can be affected by other things running in the background.

  • d'you know if you have to have that awesome processor to do this?

  • No. Games are much more dependent on the graphics card / chipset (GPU) than the CPU. However, a multi-core CPU could help when the PC has a lot of other things running in the background. Even a brand-new PC usually comes bogged-down with bloatware that the manufacturer is paid to put on there.

  • can i get it working if i get the 360 les paul controller with the 360 controller wireless receiver for windows

  • Yes. That works with no issues.

  • Hey everyone. i just finished a (if i may express my self) complete script for the les paul guitar(!).

it's complete with tilt for star power, starpower vibrate and whammy.

Just tell me if you want it and i'll send it to you

  • I want it!!!!

  • okay but i must warn you. because of a/v sync (some milli secs) , you may experience playing with the les paul guitar a bit laggy at first but you'll get use to it. after a while of playing on your computer tho, you WILL find the 8/8+ notes realy hard to hit if you go back to playing on the wii...

it's as much as i decided to never play on the pc again.

still have the script , though

  • All I want is the script for star power tilt.

  • So it vibrates ever time you tilt it to activate star power...even if you didn't have any built up...right? I don't know how GlovePIE would be able to tell when star power runs out.

  • for it to know anything about what happens in the game, it would have to be "inside" the game... that means configuring files that are required to be just like they are to work... i didn't even bother to try.. yes, it sets the vibration off even if i don't have starpower but why would i want to try and enable it i ff i don't have any :P ?

  • Unless the game supports DirectX Force Feedback with the XBOX 360 controller.

  • but still. glove pie would have to support that too then.

    doesn't...

    ..won't work..

    sorry

tho i really wouldn't recommend playing on the pc at all

  • why not?, given that you have a decent computer and the time to set up it works great, especially if you're into custom songs.

  • So you are using a wii guitar correct? If so could you share the glovepie script with me via pm. I'd appreciate if you could help!

  • We never finished and saved ours but there is a link to one in the bottom of the video's info/details. Just click "more info" and scroll all the way down.

  • LooooooooooL nice laugh ;Pp

cant wait to use glovePIE :)

  • It was my fake "devious laugh." ;)

  • whats the song please

  • When We Were Young - The Killers

  • DAMN, thats a big screen..

  • byyye.

  • what is this song??

  • "When You Were Young" by The Killers

  • u suck i get 100% on hard and u miss a lot and yet i still play expert and im 12

  • This isnt for skill you idiot, its just to show that he has Wii GH controller on the PC.

    Not everything is about skill.

  • Not to mention that it's someone else playing and not me. ;)

But yeah, you said it: Not everything is about skill. As if this kid can't find plenty of skilled Guitar Hero players on YT better than him, he has to pick this unrelated video.

I'm sure that it's because it finally gives him the chance TO brag.

  • dork

  • I'm guessing you don't go out much

    get some mates retard

  • whahaha ur 12??!!!i just cheacked your channel and ur 19 stupid ass...u just want to crick him off, ow CZroe nice vid;)

    210junior640661 ur noob--____--

  • i am 13 now my bro made my account on his year though i swear im 13 3/29/96

  • Yeah and also he said there is a lot of lag that it introduces.

so start playing with it on the computer with the introduced lag. As well as not playing 24/7 so that you can play extremely well.

Guess what I played it my first time and nailed the intro to TTAF expert so you ahve no room to talk little kid. Your 12 so get off the internet and go do kid things like play outside with your friends. Oh thats right kids nowadays don't have friends cus they are locked up inside on games.

  • Theres video/audio lag settings that can sort the "lag" out.

  • can i use my 360 guitar with my laptop?

  • Absolutely.

  • he is showing his wii guitar on pc PHAGGOT

  • Are you an idiot?

#1: It was a MiniDV CAMCORDER, NOT a digicam

#2: Why would we record direct-feed when ANYONE can play the PC version and see it first-hand?

#3: How can FRAPS *possibly* capture the Wii Guitar and demonstrate using it with the PC version? I'm laughing at the thought of using a webcam and putting GHIII in a window then capturing that!

#4: It isn't a skill demo or a demonstration of the PC version.

#5: How is showing off the setup "ghetto?"

  • I presume there is no way to make the "mistake" sounds on the PC like there is on the Wii?

  • Perhaps with Frets on Fire or something that can be told to talk back to the script. Otherwise you'd have to make a program that monitors a memory address and tell the script to respond and that address would likely change every time you launched it...unless there's some kind of force-feedback when you miss that can be picked up on and converted by the script. Unlikely (FF kicks in on the Wii Remote even for Star Power, so if the gamepad FF is similar, it would break it)

  • will a rock band wireless USB work for the bluetooth?

  • It's not Bluetooth, but I'm sure there's a way to get input from it. Perhaps even GlovePIE can do it, I dunno.

  • So you basically need a Bluetooth-enabled USB stick for this, will a Nintendo DS / PSP "WifiMax" stick work?

  • Close, but no. Though they operate in the same frequency, those are wireless Ethernet devices and not Bluetooth. Bluetooth is a form of wireless I/O (Input/Output) port, like USB, while 802.11 wireless Ethernet products are for wireless networking. Luckily, Bluetooth dongles are often even cheaper. :D

  • OH! And your PC may have built-in Bluetooth (especially if it's a laptop), so check first.

  • thanks. all these comments have been helpful. :)

  • Can you do this with a Guitar Hero World Tour Guitar ?

  • I don't have one, but I'm sure it does.

  • can you do it with ps3 les paul is has a usb

  • Yes.

  • im downloading gh3 on to my computer right now so can i use an usb guitar hero controller for the game

    will it work?

  • yeah any USB guitar, as long as there is drivers for it, will work on PC. The PC version of GH3 comes with the USB x-plorer guitar so it will definately work

  • i have guitar hero world tour and i want to use the guitar to play on frets on fire i connect the wiimote to the computer and i use ur script but it doesnt work can u help me plz thx

  • The script was made for GHIII. Edit the keys for FoF.

  • you have a powerful pc, so, my question is,

the game lags ? i mean, some notes wont appear or it freezes or sometthing ¿

    thanks.

  • "Lag" = Latency. Modern gamers have redefined the meaning. High latency often caused hitches in online games but the hitches themselves were not "lag." Of course, people complained only when it hitched and caused a problem. "LAG!" From then on, you became confused. ;)

To actually answer your question, the game runs liquid-smooth. The "lag" we are talking about is a slight latency that some players can detect and others can't, similar to the delay an HDTV's image processor can cause.

  • hey dude i got a fully working glove pie script with tilt working and whammy

if you want it pm me

    :-P

  • We have it working too, but thanks.

  • I'm interested in knowing what kind of lag we are talking about when using les paul wii guitar on the pc with a bluetooth adapter?

    Thanks.

  • Some people swear there is none, so it's entirely subjective. My impression was that it is about the same as the latency introduced by the PS3 version's USB dongle. Obviously, that wasn't enough to hurt the PS3 version, so it's really no big deal.

The only reason some people notice it is because their TV's image processor adds more latency and any small amount over that becomes intolerable.

  • will this work with the Gh3 Xbox Controller?

  • Yes, but you need the Microsoft XBOX 360 Wireless Gaming Receiver ($20).

  • Nice! I really enjoyed your video on Guitar Hero III on PC w/ Wii Les Paul controller + GlovePIE and I'm looking forward to more on the subject of guitar hero wii No in general.

  • i can do that song (when you where young) on hard without looking at the screen

  • What's the song?

  • Is it any wonder by Keane I guess

  • It's "When You were Young" by The Killers.

  • omg hahahaha i suck at guitar hero but its so fun even though :P

    thats why its the best

    haha i can;t play this song :P

    you're gwd man.

  • why the fuck does he wammy every note

  • For fun and profit. (and practice)

  • how do u hack the wii guitar to play guitar hero 3 on the pc?

  • No need to hack it, just:

-get a Bluetooth adapter for the PC

-pair the Wii remote with the BT-enabled PC

    -download, extract, and launch GlovePIE

-write a custom script or load one that someone else made

    -Activate the GlovePIE script

    -Launch GHIII PC version

    -PLAY

Wow...that's a bit too complicated. I wish someone would make a Wii driver that recognizes all Wii remote attachments and simulates HID/direct-input compliant controllers.

  • geez thts a big monitor

  • its an HDTV hooked up to a pc

  • The 52" LCD is big, but so is the 24" LCD (1920x1200)

  • you think i could run everytihng max out on mine?

    i have a Q6600 Quad Core 2.40GHz

    8800GT 512MB

    4GB 800MHz

    17" Monitor 1920x1200

  • Yeah, I think you can run it maxed, cause I run it maxed at 1920x1080 with a P4 hyperthreaded @ 3.0 GHz 2 GB PNY PC5300 RAM at 667 MHz and a PNY Verto GeForce 9600 GT 512 MB PCIe.

  • Yes. That's similar to what we were running and we played at the native resolution of whichever display we used (1080p & 1920x1200).

  • god you are spoiled we have a shit computer and my laptop isnt bad but we need a 24" mac for our family desktop that would be nice

  • Adults working and buying their own stuff is not "spoiled;" it's fiscally irresponsible (we can't save and we put ourselves in debt).

  • Oh, and I wish we could afford a laptop or even a crap PC for games when we were teens! We were raised on welfare exclusively and won an Acer Aspire - IBM P150 CPU (AKA Cyrix 133MHz), 16MB of RAM, 1.1GB HDD, & a 2D-only integrated ATI chip that couldn't even do 800x600 resolution in high color. I used that until I turned 18, got a job and built my 128MB PIII 500 at the launch of the CPU. I paired it with a 3dfx Voodoo Banshee and upgraded to a Voodoo3 and it was my 1st taste of real PC gaming.

  • well just saying macs are nice and your lucky you have one

  • That's Windows Vista Ultimate. We never bought an Apple product until we got our iPhone 3Gs long after this video, and boy are we disappointed! The browser crashes constantly and even three firmware updates have not stopped the glitch where it erases everything I typed. I have all the same problems, except now the on-screen keyboad (OSK) is ALWAYS sluggish.

To top it off, the iPod functionality will not even scroll to display song details (or even names!). Heck, the mini player shows more!

  • How come IT DOESNT WORK I HAVE VISTA

  • it does...

  • please answer my question on HOW DO YOU ACTIVATE THE STAR POWER? CAN IT BE DONE DOING THE MOTION OF THE GUITAR LIKE ON THE WII???

  • yes

  • you have to tip the guitar in the air to activte it! :D good luck

  • It wasn't in the script then, but it has been added. There's a link to one such script in the description, so your question was already answered.

  • you can use the les paul for the 360 right? yea i got the wireless reciever already im not stupid.

  • Yes, you can use the 360's Les Paul controller with the PC version + XBOX 360 Wireless Gaming Receiver.

  • man you got alot of shit, u need a new vga card though

  • We've upgraded twice since. Once to a 9800GTX, then we used the EVGA Step-Up Program to step-up to a GTX 280.

  • how do you activate star power? with the whammy bar?

  • u can use the plus bottom

  • esiest song to ace

  • is it just me or does the singer on gh3 have a REALLY big mouth/chin!

  • stop whammy bro, thats sounds creepy

  • I have the game for pc but it says my video card does not meeet the requierements..

    any advise?+-

  • buy a new video card

  • GREAT!

  • Do you want my script? It maps the first 4 frets to the LEDs on the guitar and tilt *is* supported for star power.

  • I did add tilt sensitivity to my script, but the responsive lights effect sounds pretty cool. Pass it on!
