  • I'll never give up on Detroit....NEVER....even if I'm the last one f*ckin' STANDING!

  • @LIONSMANIAC right there with ya brother

  • Negroes rioted & burnt their city to the ground in 1967. Disgusted, hard-working, law-abiding, taxpaying White population left, never to return. Any questions?

  • @FrankeeFraud have to say ur precious whit population were not strong enough to handle what detriot is or even what it now represents. if u dont live here then u couldnt know. all i say is good riddance, the true love for the city never left and is still here. its a lot more than just some buildings boy. (BTW before u go off and racist this and racist that or something, im white, i wrk hard and i pay taxes. most importantly I am BORN AND RAISED IN DETROIT)

  • Good Job brother, I'm a plumbing contractor in South Carolina. It's getting pretty scary. My wife is a Nurse and we just had twin girls last year. God Bless America and all the real Americans....like us!

  • Awh! sniff sniff the old vernors building....and Madonna? does she assoc. herself with Detroit? Has she changed into a british person now?...LOL! and dont forget Anita Baker, the late Aaliyah, Kem etc.

  • I moved away from Detroit to Arizona 12 years ago. Soon I'll go to Seattle. Seattle is one of our few export ports

  • Detroit... the city killed by liberal democrats.

  • @AtlasObjectivist The UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,,,A country destoryed BY GREEDY COnservative Republicans...

  • @tremyap no, you are mistaken and taken in by the radical socialist elite. Time to break free of the take care of me attitude, time to stop being a kept man. You can clearly see what Democrats' have done to Detroit. No other country in the world can offer opportunities like the U.S., don't let the radicals keep you down by promising to "take of you."

  • And Americans buying mostly Japanese cars.

  • Just read an article online yesterday on how Detroit wants to fix up the grand old train station and make it into a offices.Vandals have stolen all the mahogany, crystal etc from inside.

  • they have been saying that for years. sound like a pipe dream to me. too bad too. it is a beautiful building.

  • LETS GO REDWINGS!

  • make michigan a right to work state...be business friendly...the union do nothing but drive companys away...union workers in michigan care that the waitress...the office workers dont make 20 plus an hour...u use non union workers daily and dont care what they make...but we all should care u keep ur union job??? Unions ruin Michigan...right to work!~+~+!!~+ two 8 dollar an hour jobs are better than NO job n being on welfare

  • agreed lilly, The Unions have become the big ugly elephant in the room. But lets not forget free trade also, which allowed these coroprations to take both union and nonunion jobs to mexico. Of course the non-unions jobs left first, since we dont all have a lobbyist in washington like the union heads.

  • so what's the reason for the dozens of other american cities and their blight? auto industry? nope! drugs and their mentality, detroit got hit really hard

  • every region has different circumstances Cloddik. Detroit has always had a large "ghetto," even during prosperous times. While the auto industries exodus is a main contributer to the regions economy, it is not the only reason. We can also look at how our local politicians allowed in essence a "one crop economy" the same as Cuba does with their sugarcane.. only diff is, Sugarcane will grow back next year. The auto plants are never coming back.....

  • The reason for Detroits downfall is globalisation. It's cheaper to produce cars in india or china 'cus they can pay people slave wages. The owners only care about keeping their shareholders happy, not the country that helped create them, therefore they will send all the jobs overseas and destroy detroits economy without feeling any guilt. They are Globalists so don't align themselves with a particular country, they just go where the power, money and control is.

  • finally a smart answer

  • detroit is great

  • i'm not saying lost jobs has nothing to do with the current situation, it's obvious. Detroit has looked like this since the 70's . factory workers usually liove in the burbs. Also, what about other american cities who's survival doesn't rely on the auto industry? ( memphis, miami, oakland) terrible cities! basically, this blight is not completely due to cars, it's the mentality of people.

  • big business is to greedy and its the greed that has doomed this country. When he says "When the boss man takes his bonus pay and jets outta town" that says so much.. they need to stop giving all this money to them. as many said it doesn't help that the government in a way let the car industry go down or the fact that AMERICANS keep buying foreign pieces of crap. where do you think that moneys going? JAPAN not the USA. This comming from a PROUD GM worker who lost their job to factory closings

  • @gothicwhispers

Just remember, GREEDY BIG BUSINESS made all those high-paying jobs like yours too. It is a balancing act to keep jobs both high paying and available.

  • Comment removed

  • Listen, I don't believe that this song was meant to breed hate. So stop spreading hate here, you people are being ignorant and racist. I do believe this song was meant to make a point- that big business got too big and that is why we had the economic crisis. They shut down the car factories, all kinds of business filed bankrupt, and good people were left jobless and hungry. ALL kinds of people, by the way; the color of your skin doesn't matter when it comes to money.

  • This was a good song and I liked the Detroit acknowledgements. Olympia! Vernors! Red Wings! Motown! All the local musicians -great. But you forgot the White Stripes!

  • Sad, but true. With all the government programs and "intervention" this is what happens. The government creates a slave class with it's handouts and "incentives." This isn't all about the auto industry, it's about Detroit in general. My sister says that if the kids in a tiny hick town want drugs, all they have to do is take a 45 minute trip to Detroit. No problem!

  • @tolynette

I GUARANTEE they do not have to go to Detroit to get drugs- EVERY hick town has drugs available- anything ya want in most cases. They might have came thru Detroit, but they are distributed to where ever there is a market.

  • Hey USA, this is your future. Lots more areas in the USA will resemble cities like Detroit or Oakland. The grand Multi-Culti experiment of the Demorats (and some Republirats) is a failure, but they will never admit it. Thank Deddy Teddy for the 1965 immigration reform act. The USA is bringing in Somali muslims, the women are huge fat people who have many kids and wear tentlike muslim dresses, the men just want to jihad and commit crime. This country has truly lost its mind, thank's for nothing!

  • a its bilderburg that pulls the strings you brainwashed fuck look it up!

  • Uh, what are you rambling about......crazy insane lady? If people would just put aside thier insane conspiracy ideas, maybe they could see the real problems, right in front of thier faces. But you are nuts!

  • Im "DOWN" in the 313

  • So many racists and bigots here. The struggling car industry doesn't help coz the cars are mostly lemons and we buy Jap cars,ok I said it.

  • detroit is a magnificant city! not all of it is bad. the media only shows the bad parts of it and it has some REALLY bad parts but ALOT of parts are really nice like the area by comerica park and ford field is pretty nice but ofcourse noone wants to show that. and some amazing music artists have came from detroit or an area near it like kid rock, eminem, madonna, proof, D12 and a whole lot more! detroit was on top before and although its not doing to well right now im sure it will rise again:)

  • ••••••••••••• ••••• •••••••••••••••••• ••• ••••• •• •

Many people haven't seen who ranks 2nd behind Detroit. WINNIPEG, Manitoba Canada. (North End) MURDER CAPITAL OF CANADA. CLICK HERE TO TAKE A TOUR. Watch part 1 & Part 2.

    •••••••••••••••• •••••• • ••••••••••••••

  • I'm from germany but had the honor to visit detroit 3 times and i really like the city. the abondened houses, company buildings and the high criminal rate destroy the spirit this beautiful city.

  • I wouldn't want to be from anywhere else BUT here. I'm so proud of this city. Things are bad. Bad doesn't begin to describe it, but you can say it's "deteriorating" all you want. Live here, work here, see these people fight every day for every dime, and you wouldn't see deterioration. You'll see perseverance, strength, and beauty through the utmost tragedy and despair. We'll rise from this. I love you, Detroit. <3

  • i was not questioning the heart of the people, only the economy of the city. When your the fastest shrinking major metro are in the world, you have to be willing to fight for every dime.

  • awesome compilation on this video... brings back a LOT of memories..

  • Hmmm..

  • John Rich is using Detroit to make money for himself.

"Here in the real world" indeed!

This song is great at first blush, but when you really listen to it and think about it, it sucks big time IMHO.

BTW, can anyone else tell the difference between Reba singing "down" and John Rich singing "down"? I mean, I'm so tired of fake accents in "Country" music, and I mean FAKE, not regional.

    Go Detroit!

Motown left you too and has sucked ever since.

  • I am very proud to be from Detroit. We got the Red Wings and the Tigers! I guess I'll mention the Lions but I have no localities to them. I can't wait to see Detroit get back up and on it's feet. I very and truly miss Michigan/Detroit.

  • This is a great song/message! But John if u really care about workn class americans then y are u playn at these republican sponsered fake tea parties and y r u the poster boy for fox news. You should be playn at union halls and boycotting fox. I wish Willie or Kriss K was signing this 1 or Alabama. Unionize, Buy American, and God Bless everyone!

  • the tea parties are real, Its people fed up with the out of control government.

They keep on spending while the national debt continues to break barriers. I wish everyone in congress was mandated to go to a Dave Ramsey class, or at least listen to him on the radio.

  • detriot is awesome, i grew up in rochester, and same time as det. started, so did my dads job. but 1 cool thing is that my dad went 2 skool w/madona. NO JOKE!!!!

  • This song should be our new national anthem!

  • It is the damn democrats that are shutting detroit down!!!!

  • detroit will turn around! GO DETROIT!

  • maybe maybe not

  • It isnt fair to single out one entity that killed Detroit. Because, a lot people had their hands in the cookie jar that was Detroit. Such as: extreme racial bigotry on both sides, Coleman Young (the MFIC), GM, Dingell and many others. It took all of them to destroy a once proud city.

  • Detroit...what a city it was.

  • was? your ignorant we are going to turn it around and one day you will see Detroit at the top again you have my word

  • I'd love to see it, Detroit is a great city, but its not doing so well at the moment, doesn't it have the highest unemployment rate in the country?

  • yes, and its also the fastest shrinking metropolis in the world.

  • detroit is the fastest deteriorating metropolis in the world. but dont worry, i feel your pain, im in Saginaw

  • Appropriate lyrics !....Sounds excellent, dude !....Glad you give Kudos to Michigan, in general, here. :)

    Nice post !!

  • Michigan Is a GREAT STATE...Unions destoyed Michigan..Right to Work,,,forced to join a union..sounds like naZis...drive in big black caddies checking union workers for their union cards??? You all buy from non union workers...remember that next time u dont leave a waitress a tip...care what she works for??? BUY AMERICAN...and RIGHT TO WORK:)

  • No, GM destroyed Michigan...

  • no the big three made Michigan they did not destroy it what destroyed it was the decline of the big three

  • your an idiot, GM and FORD literally built detroit, if it wasnt for the auto industry detroit would have never been what it once was before the unions got greedy and killed it

  • that and people buyin japanese pieces of shit and once you destory the main iincome for the country the rest just falls down with it

  • great video

  • great video man lot's of love to Em and Kid, fuck the insane clown pussy's, I don't know your emotions or situation man i'm from Amsterdam, Holland shit's fucked up too here

  • awsome song/message but this clown is a fake if he was really for the workn man he wouldnt be affiliated with fox news or playing at the republican propaganda induced tea partys. Buy American, Unionize, and listen to Alabama. God bless

  • u dont know what your talkin about

  • Fuck the republicans, after what they did to this country we should be hunting them in the streets...

  • wow wmichswingers.... wow... yes, because hatred is always the way to go... I mean... things were never solved by compromise and rational discussion... but irrational hatred... yep, sounds good to me

  • wmichswingers wtf ru talking about? the entire city of detroit goverment from the mayor to the whole city concil are all DEMOCRATS! and so is our govenor jennifer gramhole! all DEMOCRAT run city for over 40 years look at it now!

  • once again wmichswingers, your an idiot. democrats own detroit and it is the fastest declining economy in the world jackass

  • cant stand madonna, and eminem isnt really a great man in history!! but love those goodhearted workers that really cared and loved american made quality!!

  • FACT

  • thanks!

  • rock on!!!

  • Cont'd. It is cities like Detroit, Pittsburg, Milwaukee and the like that put this country on the map as the leader of the industrialized world. It was not some wanna be hiding behind the anonymity of the internet pretending to be something he or she isn't. You want good money and good bennies, then do like these men and women did - earn it. People like shiningstardee, teapartyvoices and Diabolik771 have no idea what they are talking about and make me sick. A waste of DNA. Out.

  • n4ems,also, cinccinatti, was the machining capitol of the world at one time and made the best machinery ever assembled in the world!!

  • It is amazing the talk of the greed from the hourly employees in these plants. The greed is from the top, not the bottom. The average Detroit autoworker made enough to buy a modest home, maybe a new car once in a while and raise a family. If that is greed, then you are an ass. The problem comes when the mgt of these complains makes in the millions, several millions. Yes, the hourlies made decent money and had good bennies but they worked for it - they didn't sit on their bumms clicking away

  • Punk, Don't you remember when every factory in Detroit was just blowing smoke from their stacks!!! When every plant was at full speed??? Those were the days in the D. My dad told me that when he was younger, he would take his dad, my grandpa, lunch up at the Pontiac Motors Division and there is a water tower across the road from it. The water tower was a hazy color b/c of the smoke!!! Now, where the plant was, is now a parking lot. I like the early pics you have of D. The old black n whites!!!

  • living too greedy is gonna end up killing ya'll, the last shall come first... native people always protested against raping our (every race) mother earth of her love, now father sky is angry for our mother is dying...go figure...

  • If father sky is God then I say you're dead on brother, greed drives, kills and destroys everything, I'm ashamed to be white after researching what my forefathers have done and their descendants still are doing.

  • Thank God for John Rich!

    Great Video brother

  • farmers and people who raise livestock are the backbone of America. Not detroit even though that is a bunch of crap on how the CEO's get big bonuses when that money should go to the real workers. Good song

  • detroit and major citys may not be the back bone but these major citys are the anchors are the way people earn money !

  • The New World Order is here! Order out of Kaos is the word of the day. Engineered Swine flu and possibly a false flag attack to bring in the New World Order. It's typical problem reaction solution that governments have been doing this forever.

  • This is the essence of class warfare.

We must band together and embrace Marxism-Leninism if we are to succeed.

Comrades, open your eyes! It is time to unite!

  • GM workers don't get $75 an hour, but once you factor in their extreme pensions and full benefits, they come out about as well off as most doctors do. Or use to.

No offense to the GM plant workers, but your jobs pay about 10 bucks an hour with no pension and no benefits in any other production factory industry.

Detroit threw all it's eggs into American cars and steel, now neither are in any demand.

Not planning ahead for changes in the market doomed Detroit.

  • "but once you factor in their extreme pensions and full benefits, they come out about as well off as most doctors do."

Sir, my uncle is management at GM, and because of that I would just like to ask a few questions.

1.) When did you get this information?

2.) Where did you get this information?

  • they dont get paid $75 an hour... i work at GM, i get about half of that u assholes... and i actually work for a living... not sit at a desk...

  • U.S. unions shut detroit down, paying some guy 75$/hr because he has been there for 30 years to put screws in a car is a great buisness plan

  • Shut down all Capitalists.

  • shut down all capitalists? that is exactly the problem right now.starting with bush and continuing with obama, all that money spent on the iraq war, all these bailouts, the stimulus, and spending are hurting the small businesses.the ones that make our economy thrive.

  • Sorry, my cars are all Japanese. What happened to Detroit was nothing more than a case of good ol' American greed at work. Rest assured, when enough buildings in Detroit have fallen over, collapsed, burned, or have been demolished, and once the hoodlum low lifes die off, decent people will move back in and rebuild it.

  • Hold on now...Most of the reasons the city fell are always kept at a "FALSE Commercial" level. So how the hell would u know shit about anythinhg? U fucked up big time by saying "hoddlum". Look all over the city. Can u NOT TELL this shit was planned to happen to us 1 day? By those supposed 2 b "innocent" people. So shut yo hoe az up 4 try'na make my city seem like we the az of U.S.A.

  • I live near Detroit. Well, 4 hours away actually. But still, I live in Michigan. We seem to be doing okay here though.

  • I've been to Detroit a couple of weeks ago and I was shocked to what I saw over there.. It's such a difference from Europe. The streets are deserted apart from homeless, littered, creepy.. It's like a ghost town these days.. I really feel sorry for the Detroit people, it must be very hard to see a once so nice city turn into this... I can only wish you all the best of luck guys!

  • We appreciate the concern. One day it will return to its glory, I promise you that. The people of Detroit are strong.

  • Luck??? How we gone have luck when we dont even have hope...no one bothered to help us...so I dont see why people feeling sorry 4 us....They ran 2 our city when we were thriving, now they point they finger at us and talk about us now that we are suffering...If the same thing happened to where you live...Life wouldnt even seem the same would it?

  • srry for that spelling work

  • i used to worl for dettroit till thay lead me off now am in hell

  • great tribute

  • I just went to a big & rich concert in Traverse City, Michigan and he played this song, it was a great concert.

If some of you didn't know, michigan is getting the worst of the bad economy.

(mostly because of the auto industry crash)

It's very hard to even make ends meet here in Michigan, everything is expensive and jobs are becoming hard to find.

  • Did Vernor's originate in MI? I didn't know that. Anyway, I farm up in Gagetown, sugar beets, and well, it's just sad to see what is happening. We make a lot on the farm, but man, the price of diesel and repairs n what not, it's just a hard life to live. Thankfully I am only 17. I don't intend on working there much longer, as I am going to apply for a job with TMC Trucking. But the experience on the farm is something I will never forget. Thanks Pioneer Sugar for keeping us in business 4 so long!

  • Thanks for your comment ChevyGuysWearBowties ;-D

YES... Vernor's did originate in Detroit and you will find very good reading about it at Wikipedia. As a young boy I used to see the Detroit Red Wings at Olympia Stadium (:40 sec.) and they used to serve Vernor's hot as well as cold. Ya' gotta try it one of these days! Amazing haha!!!

You seem to have a very good head on your shoulders and good luck to your future ;-)

  • hey i was born outside detroit n a lil town called taylar or trenton i cant remember

  • Thanks for your comment tiroquoisboy69 ;-D

Hmmm... I can't remember if I have even ever been to Taylor or Trenton.

  • I am still overwhelmed as to how many views my video, along with John Rich's fantastic song, has generated. I was overjoyed when it hit 500 views let alone 258,000 plus!

Again... I realize that I should have added much, much more to us hard working Americans but the pictures of my Detroit came to mind.

It has become pretty political and I let people state their piece but... I have deleted comments with the "F", "S", "G.D." words and anything racial.

Thanks for understanding and keep posting!

  • i like that song just so right said ...

  • Unions, crime, government handouts, when so many no longer need to work this happens. Soon it will just like many other failed cities of liberal hope with more profit and less hard work. Take the value adding out of the industry and you have a train wreck in the future. Detroit, Flint, and Gary were all predicted to be this way decades ago.

  • To the people accusing liberals or conservatives. its the CEO's who you should be mad at. but just so you know Clinton had our debt at a all time low when he was in office. and this happened before obama got into office. just saying

and ive had to suffer too. ive had to starve some months so my son wouldnt. and i dont give a damn about whos fault it is honestly. i just want to be able to support my family however i can.

in the real world, their shutting this whole damn country down.

  • For those that think the average farmer makes 100 grand a year, you have NO IDEA what you are talking about. I grew up and worked on a farm and my parents made 30 grand a year at most and they worked night and day for that money. People are quick to judge farmers when they don't even know what its about. It isn't no 9 to 5 job that you get your weekends off. We work 7 long days a week, so if you think its so wonderful why don't you try it out and then come talk to me about it.

  • ur sooo right

  • If more people were busy earning their own living, they would have little time to judge others. Too many people unwittingly focus their anger at the wrong people and in the wrong direction.

  • You idiots actually think obama can fix the economy. WOW!!

It will take a Michigan boy who knows about the auto industry.

    MITT ROMNEY 2012

  • sux your meat romney!!! you utah boy!!!!!!

  • hell yeah!!!!!!!!!!

  • this is like my fav song of all time really good pics it is sad about all our companies goin overseas Obama has alot to fix i feel srry 4 him

  • This is just insane, and the fact of the matter is that if we allow our people to work for foreign companies how long will they stay in work after the domestic industry is destroyed? Wouldn't it make more economic sense to pull it to back to their nation or to a third world nation? Japan and China are in trouble from southeast asia and India now...

  • the comments blow me away...just face the facts people, when this was a country that actually believed in WORKING and building things for a living Detroit was a place to run to for a good paying job due to the auto industry. And they were building SUVs and Trucks and large vehicles becuase that's what the people wanted...do we forget that?

  • i like that pics but one thing i miss tom selleck aka magnum with the detroit tigers cap !!! he is a great son of the city too ....

  • Detroit has been dying for 30 years. And the part about the farmers.....XD th average income for a farm household is 100,000 dollars.........im sure they have to auction a ton of land........

  • not even close bro,i work on farms all year round. They r lucky if they can make 30,000 dollars a year.If they making 100,000 , they must be growing weed or something.

  • I don't think they know that the food they buy in the stupidmarkets come from a "farm," let alone know about the hard work involved or how much is earned in dollars. Why, most don't even know the true history of America and what "toiling for one's daily bread" really means. Sad, so sad.

  • if you think the average framer makes 100 grand a year then your a fucking moron, don't talk about shit you don't know about you fucking fool

  • well they do its just they have to take out 85-95 grand for expenses so they do make 100 grand its just thats before expenses

  • Then they are not making $100,00.

  • Thanks for you comments opelske ;-D

I understood what your previous comment says but what does this one mean?

  • This comment was my reply to another poster. He or she, in replying to a poster, had said that farmers although they might make a profit of $100,000, have to pay more than 85-90% in expenses.

  • Thanks for clarifying what I had asked and good day ;-)

  • Was Detroit once a city that many people would want to go to? (like NY and LA) and where many rich people lived, and where others wanted to live?

  • yeah it was a great place to go for a job(auto industry)

  • That is still my favorite video on you tube i watched it like 8 times!

  • Down voted for nonsense. The Japanese workers can't compete with Detroit; they are overpaid even more than UAW workers are. What you refer to as Japanese cars were built south of the Mason-Dixon line by US workers (albeit non-union workers). Also, last time I checked, $48/hr was a living wage, and a good one at that.

  • Pretty much every car Americans buy is American made. Detroit's falling apart because management was stupid and the unions bled the automakers dry. With nothing left to spend on R&D, the cars were terrible, so people didn't want to buy them.

  • Not the union it was congras and Brak or however you spell it im not gana call him Mr or presidant because he dosent desver that he is planning to make this a third world country

  • Obamas will fix it Bush Cheney destroyed wake up this didnt happen overnight get educated

  • jimmie carter destroyed our economy wen he made it law that banks can never deny a loan. then freddy and fannie wer made. which destroyed it, it allllll started with the housing market. u liberals think its everyones RIGHT to own EVERYTHING and not hav to work for it. just like a house. ur on fuking crack. Bush did help cuz he said to the libs in congress that if they back the war hell back their economic policy. it was liberal economics that destroyed our economy. FACT.

  • thats soooo true

  • exactly so u think obama will fix it over night ummm no!!! get educated

  • Black folks fucked up Detroit!

Now it looks like shit, big fucking abandoned ghetto..

  • I've read a lot of the comments here and it scares me that we Americans can be so ignorant. Some of you blame free trade which is a conservative ideal, and one of the principles of free enterprise, i.e. capitalism, and then go on and blame liberals or Obama. The real problem is the American auto industry. They continued to make large vehicles that could not compete with Japanese cars in fuel economy, and they are overpriced compared to those same cars.

  • this is really good. but as a sports fan, i say you should've included more hockey and baseball pictures/short video clips.

gosh i just hate all these hate comments on detroit! they r probably living in philly or la!

  • people who don't live in detroit or around the area don't understand what's really going on. :[ people are losing jobs and homes. i'm going through it....

  • So sad how free interprizes work well, then all move to communist china for very cheap labor, and now economy is in trouble. of course government is never the answer. so what do we do?

  • yes of course gov is not the answer, those rich old scumrat politicians drive me crazy everyday. i feel the same then what should we do?

  • Look what the government is doing... Funding billions in and now companies are paying it back because they gave companies way too much... We should have the companies create more jobs through new plants/cars. Then things will roll on from there.

  • LOVE it, god bless John Rich with what he is able to share to the world! Best country song I've heard in a logn while, if not ever!

  • Comment removed

  • You all forget about supply chains... jap, US... the US supply chain failures will get to every state in this nation...

    GM

    Chrysler

    Delphi

    Visteon

    Lear

    Johnson Controls

AND ON AND ON... you don;t get it.

It is not jap v. the big 3...

  • I love this song but for those of you who said that Japanese cars are hurting America that is, to an extent, true but Toyota has plants in Kentucky, which to my knowledge is in America. Ford has major manufacturing operations in Mexico, Germany, Brazil, etc. Also your beloved General Motors has a manufacturing operation in Brazil. So I understand you are upset with the financial status but please learn all your facts before going super ignorantly patriotic.

  • That is true, Toyota probably leaves more $ in the US than GM does.

  • This song isn't about Jap vs the big 3. It's about how the goverment gave those bank 's 700 billion with no questions asked and now are making the car companys jump through hoops and in the prossses putting 10's of thousands of people out of work.

  • I have to say, American made is where it is at. I have a '93 S-10 with 210,000 miles on it, and it still runs like new. Like to see an import piece of jumk last that long in New York winters and still run good and strong, let alone not fall apart on the road.

  • hey mike you did a great job on this song, alot better than when I'm singing it in my GMC, jamming with and american made aftermarket stereo. I bleed red white and blue I truly do love this country this is an ugly time but we are the greatest nation in the world so we WILL pull threw it. God bless America!!!

  • People do care, but thats because there the ones being screwed. Those wall street high rolelrs dont give a damn, and Obama aint thinking about the future and running us in to a hole.

  • People do some research...do not lump Ford in with Chrysler and GM.Remember they refused govt money and are doing just fine. They announced several weeks ago they are reopening an old plant, retooling it to make economy cars bringing up to 3,000 jobs.

I heard this on WJR radio in Detroit.

  • i heard about that, thats great that ford is retooling an old plant, maybe somebody can buy the old fisher body 21 plant and give it a little TLC and retool that

  • i agree with what you say Ford doesnt belong in the same Category as Chevy no matter what the category may be. made in Mexico or not ill stick with my rust bucket Chevy's cause by Gods good Grace we're doing just fine with what we have

  • the gutar part at the end was a little cutoff

other ones i lisin 2 r difrent but i think urs is the best

and 2 matisaredneck u forgot chevyis a good car

  • shut up u jap lover. when you buy a jap car it supports japan. when you buy a GM,Ford, chrysler the money goes to america. USA USA USA

  • now, im a chevy guy, you should see my driveway, all chevy trucks, nothing else, but that money we just spent on our 2007 burban and silverado goes to mexico to support and pay the workers that made it, while gm is still closing plants and making more down in mexico. so my neighbor A lost his job and my money is going to mexico, not him, but say i buy a big tundra, which is AMERICAN BUILT, my neighbor B still has a job cuz that money i paid it w/ is helping him, not mexico, helping americans

  • Yeah but you fail to see. How long until Toyota closes that plant and uses the money you used to buy a Tundra to build plants in Japan?

  • this song is true thanks to you jap lovers you forget who made the planes that bombed us in preal habor and killed are freinds and family you jap lovers think that jap cars are so munch beter well let my tell you a know fact about your jap shit what you save in fuel with a jap car you spend in parts and them japs are laffing all they way to the bank making japs ritcher and the good old u.s.a were going broke i can proundly say that i got chevorlet truck and it will out work your junk any day

  • I'm a chevy man myself but they're made in mexico for the majority. Most of your "jap" cars are built here in America.

  • So true, for example my dad works at the Honda plant here in Alabama, and he hasn't got laid off yet but his hours have been cut

  • sadly he has a point. The jap cars are sending money to JAPAN. Yeah your paying Americans for now.

One more thing. The japanese companies dont do anything to redesign the cars they are building here. So they are letting you buy a car that will break an A-arm the first time you hit an American pothole.

  • you hit the nail on the head there. thankyou

  • Hanson is from Detroit...?

  • its a really good video dont get me wrong, just that u kinda missed the point in the song.. it has nothing to do with sports, its about the big 3. Chevy, Dodge, and Ford and how their closing the plants.

  • also about how everyone is supposed to helpp the Rich guys who are going to have to go back to working like the rest of us. Damn good song

  • Sorry to hear about your mom dude, RIP.

And thanks for posting this, its a great song

  • They need to shutdown the Detroit Lions. . .bunch of epic failures.

  • good movie

  • Detroit deserves a Patriots respect, and thats that

  • I would hope you all realize that buying out businesses with government money is the deffinition of Socialism. The means of production are owned by the Gov. You can thank Obama and our Gov. leaders for US Socialism.
