No one can top Zoltan and Viviana in this presentation,it doesn't work without emotion and expression which is most important in this peformance, but they did execute the moves as best they could.
I love Tamara, she's so clean and beautiful; but as all dancers, even those who are the best ones, she has problems with some roles... That's the case... Watching her in snow white or romeo and juliet you can feel her really, but she's not Aurora.
she plays the third act aroura perfectly. the 3rd act aroura is a woman getting married shes not 16 so she needs to have a little bit more of a maturity in her movement and tamara has that locked down.
@TZEITEL10 What else do I want? Uh, let me think... characterization, maybe? When I watch this I don't see Aurora. I see Tamara Rojo going through a series of centre exercises. This may come as I surprise to you, but ballet dancing is much more than just a nice technique.
@repn87 i agree with your post. well i hope as a professional, she must deliver, at least, pretend. look at her solo, she's not enjoying it. i really thought monica mason should just stop casting tamara for this role. let tamara play juliet and manon.
she doesn't smile in her solo. she's supposed to be happy with that happy score. this is the wedding celebration scene right? and i find the fouette turns into the fish dives/dip a bit slow, i wish it was faster and snappier.
Tamara's technique is lovely here, but somehow she looks bored of her prince. Perhaps she intends to play Aurora in her own way, after a long sleep, it might take a while for her to be fully awake. Both of them have no chemistry with each other, maybe it's a miscast.
God Pennefather is mediocre and poor Tamara's lower back flexibility is starting to go. Fucking crying shame that in the evening of her career they pair her with this fucking loser.
i always feel she is like a baby ,when i watch her arms ....i don t know why ..

Lovely dancing but as far as acting is concerned it doesn't measure up to Sergei Polunin and Lauren Cuthbertson.

Just wondering why so hard on Rupert - he is OK here. Tamara, on the other hand, not a patch on the Russians in this role.

Hate the camera work at the end but Tamara is just beautiful! Would have loved to see her in this role with Acosta.
