What a pathetic liar. I expected Obama to have his hands full with the conflicts in Iraq and Afganistan, with the Economy and the housing problem. I did not expect Obama to simply make such bad choices within his own team, to sign an executive order banning the hiring of lobbyists and then break is own rule three times in one week! Even when he realized his problems with Daschle, Obama refused to stand as a leader and withdraw Daschle, but simply sat there waiting for Daschle to withdraw.
Obama promised "change" ...he did not promise good change! I love it ..... the media does not know whether to shit or go blind over the corrupt nigger in the Whitehouse!!
I love how the media jumped all over this as some sort of "scandal". So the guy was a little confused as to how to classify the use of a car. Big deal.
Tell me one person who hasn't been confused by the fucked-up tax laws we have in place.
How pathetic is this. Let me guess, this is the position Obama has on "change". Yes, the Republicans get thrown under the bus, but here the Democrats consistently simply say it was a "mistake". If you or I had made this "mistake", our house would have been taken from us but for some reason we are to "believe" in this? I put the failure of this on Daschle and on Obama. Obama will bring integrity back to the White House?? This in integrity from Obama? Show us Change and get rid of him.
He's been president for how long? Don't be an (Pardon my language) absolute fucking moron. This barely counts as corruption, what do you want to go back to? Sarah Palin, fark that shiat, and fark your opinion.
Hey idiot, Obama said he knew of his failure to pay those taxes for years and still tried to appoint him. Maybe you don't pay taxes, but many of us do and we expect those who are supposed to represent us to pay their taxes. Not paying over $100,000 in taxes is "barely corruption" - pardon me buy you are a fucking moron to even think that. Now that Daschle is out, Obama did not even have the backbone or integrity to withdraw him first - that is pathetic. Give us a leader, not a politician
I'm a Obama supportor but this is the third person in his "cabinet" that has a problem either with taxes or with something else illegal...Why didn't his team vet these guys better..???
If you do it to me again, I'm a damn asshole fool. With that said, if a politician keep breaking the law and we know that he/she is doing it, we are a bunch of fools. We deserve everything these crooked politicians do to us. I know if my employee is not doing their job I will fire them immediately. When it comes to politicians we forget who the boss is.
Sorry, but $146,000 in back taxes and interest is NOT a mistake. He tried to play the tax system and was winning until now. We deserve a NEW candidate for this post. Someone who has not made millions 'consulting' for hospitals AND insurers. Peace.
This is the dumbest thing I've ever heard. This is why I stop caring about politics somtimes because how many rich republican businessmen owe back taxes but they're doing a big story of some dude not paying taxes on drving a car!
Dude, shut the hell up. You sound like a parrot just repeating what it's Master says. "Hussein Obama" .... as if his name means he's some evil reptile or something. You dumb republicans make me sick.
I think we should audit every politician on the state and national level. I bet we get enough back taxes and fines out of these crooks to pay off a day or two of the war.
dude this guy made a honest mistake and fixed it, and admitted it and they give him so much shit yet bush destroyed the nation in so many ways yet nothing happens to him.
certainly, not to mention that Senator Daschle has done so much and has so much passion and determination to solve our healthcare problems and challenges. He is perfect for the job.
he didnt pay $148,000 dollars of tax for a driving service over a period of 3 years, if it is an honest mistake, he is an idiot, if not he tried to get away with something, either way, when most Americans on average make less than $35,000 dollars a year, it is reprehensible to claim ignorance. It is gravely concerning when people entrusted to make decisions for the general population cant manage their own dealings, especially when it appears to not be above board, either way he's incompetent
We the people have to trust our leaders. You don't want to pay taxes unless you are caught. No pity from the ones that hired you! Lets move on to the next candidate. No more screwing around. They need to be held accountable!
Every 15 months, the USA owes another trillion dollars against Gov expenses!
Prop up the bad guys with money!
Reward the mistakes!
Weve increased the Money Supply 70% since October!!!!!
Can you imagine?!
Bernanke refused to show up the other day before congress
Altogether, the worlds markets over the past four weeks saw $11 trillion worth of assets wiped out. This sum corresponds to virtually the entire annual gross national product of the US, or the European Union
No not all Americans did - HOWEVER, if you want to use that kind of logic then your responsible for all the deaths in Iraq, global warming and everyone who is poor and ill in the world
Here's the difference Daschle had power and like most bought and sold politicians, and he is one, abused it
There are better people and yes, no one is perfect, but a good start, a requirement should be to stop putting the people who caused this mess in charge
Well, I'm reserving judgment. My business is fairly simple - and my taxes are a nightmare. The tax code has turned into such a bloated monster that in a recent audit, nearly 20% of tax forms prepared with the assistance of IRS staff had errors. If the freakin' IRS can't even figure out their own tax code, what hope do the rest of us have?
I think this is less an indictment of Daschle than it is another demonstration of why an overhaul of the IRS is needed.
The car thing, I don't care about, and nobody rational would care about. But I heard he also failed to pay taxes on certain consultant fees. Is that so or not? And if so, is it excusable or not? And even if not excusable, is it bad enough to reject his appointment?
These are questions that still have to be answered.
go fuck yourself lamouche you dumb pos, you obviously aren't from America if u think only the rich fuck up their taxes.
Either that or you are stupid, which I put my money on.
I bet you make more $ then I do and have made more tax mistakes then I have. Doesn't mean there aren't people in my tax bracket not always getting their taxes perfect.

If you're gonna lie Mr. Daschle, make it somewhat believeable.
Hell no! He should be in jail along with Timothy Gietner. Why the hell should these RICH mofo's get off scott free when they don't pay their taxes but the average american who's struggling with two jobs goes to jail if they do the same thing. There should be riots in the streets but the elite knoow that yall don't care about shit. All anyone will be talking about this week is the fucking super bowl.
