marilyn, amy winehouse, britney spears..etc..the list goes on. Fame does not make a person resistant to depression and substance abuse stemming from stress..it only worsens it
@Luvie1980 not everyone but a lot of ppl do and fame..even with its benefits does come with it huge responsibility. Its like being observed under a microscope..everyday. I guess some ppl handle fame well but ppl like marilyn, with sad backgrounds tend to breakdown first
SAD BUT WISE if FOX know for me now ...yaaa true good shape was never the problem....yes she allways worth more than cleopatra because she did have a soul cleaopatra did just have billions wasted while marilin realy did care for wat she leaving behind .....
There are two documentaries about Something's Gotta Give and the are so many differences and story changes in the two. Something is not adding up and they needed someone to blame.
Why is it they say apparent? Elizabeth taylor caused problems in room and Judy garland also didnt show up for shooting and yet 20th Century Fox fired the one person who made them a whole bunch of money and also I believe that their are a lot of unanswered questions surrounding Marilyn Monreo's Death.
I honestly think that if they hadn't of fired her in the first place, she would have been there to finish it!! I really wish that i could have met her!
Marilyn was genuinely unwell in the spring of 62' . They didn't believe her which is unfair. When the autopsy was performed Marilyn's lungs were discovered to be very congested.
That clip where she is watching her children play shows of how great of an actress she was, not many actors can act with their eyes, and you see so many emotions just with her eyes. I wish she would've finished. :-(
OMG Every time I see live footage of her, I can't help but think that my niece looks like her. Of course I'm biased but I swear she has the same eyes and lips. My niece is significantly more confident though.
What a pitty she lost her glamour because of the pills and alcohol. She isn¨t so nice, tender and shiny in this movie any more. She is like another woman.
and so many collaborators that never stopped holding up the official story of what hoover did to so many. this movie was shut down because they knew she was on the hit list, just like jfk.
even in 1991, irwin winkler had to shit on marilyn to get "Guilty by Suspicion" made.
had to have a character say that marilyln becaome famous overnight, instead of the truth that she played bit roles for about 5 years before landing a supporting role.
Thanks for adding this! It's sad how she died sooo young! But that is how I think she would want us to remember her...young, beautiful, talented and happy!
I LOVE Dean Martin, and I love how he stood up for Marilyn on this one. She was obviously geeked out on pills and booze, you can tell by the slow way she moves and responds. The poor thing is TRYING to perform, but is so cranked out she isn't quite "right". Makes me love her more. Seems so vulnerable!
This documentry makes me cry when I watch it because this was her last ever film and she died so it never got finished...it hurts but im glad they could savour what was left of it.
It was stated it was white because of the skin hair on her body was like translucent which made her skin glow like no other. This was stated by someone that photographed her for many years.
He meant, she had a flawless complexion, and she was always very pale; she didn't tan much. This is something to remember when you see many of the Bert Stern pictures, so often re-printed in harsh orange tones, nothing at all like her true coloring.
It's hard to say, but had this movie been finished, I'm not sure it would have done much for Marilyn's career. But she certainly looked beautiful in it!

She was an afflicted lady. Very often my eyes fill with tears for the misery of her life.

Marilyn was emotionally fragile because Men used her body as one would use a toilet.

@JanaSklibova She lost her glamor?! She never looked better onscreen--not since her old "River of No Return" days
She is a 35 year-old woman, no longer girlish. But her beauty is at its peak.

I agree I think that's why we love Marilyn, because she was so perfect looking but yet she had her troubles to face. And we forget that sometimes.
eyemakeupfrenzy 2 years ago
@mommapuddin They said Marilyn went to work that day with 101 fever. Don't you think that has something to do with it as well?
