  • RECAP OU Corners r good dline great safeties cant play big in big games i thought carter was a beast until i saw him against the gators he a B safety Linebacker r good

  • Hey, how about the "Pride of Oklahoma"?! Use to march in this band! Just putting some levity in here - hehehe :)

  • Wilson is a great offensive coordinator. Venables is terrible though. OU's defense has gotten worse every year under Venables.

  • My bad, I meant to say our problems are not the players.

  • No, OU doesn't have great coaching, we have great recruiting. They're two totally different things. We know Stoops and his boys can recruit, it's what they do after they get the guys on campus that matters. And for the last 5 years, Wilson and Venables have constantly let us down in big games. We can't even win a fucking bowl game anymore.....with all this TALENT, are you fucking kidding me? Our problems are players, it's these dickface coordinators. And Stoops is too dumb to realize it.

  • Honestly, I think the recruiting is ok...its not anywhere near the raw talent, Florida and USC pull. Even Texas has better recruiting classes according to the websites. I think OU does a really outstanding job of developing and improving players. But, I agree that the coaches struggle with preparing, schemeing, and in-game strategy. They are really good player development coaches but not the best at football strategy, in my opinion.

  • 09 is OU's year bradford is at his best and the defense is still one of the toughest in the nation! Bradford was a three star prospect and now he's easily 5. Point= OU has great coaching.

  • What should help OU's young off. line is going against that great defensive line every day in practice. They won't face a better one all year imo.

  • ou has turned into oregon. decent, fast defense that causes TO's and an explosive offensive. see sam bradford in new york for tha heisman and ou in some bsc bowl.

  • we don't want to be like Oregon. we have a better offense and a better defense

  • our front 7 looks beast. they had a lot of stuffed runs.

  • They're actually playing i'll give OU credit for that. Most spring games are a wank fest.

  • I think what will kill them is their O LINE. Trent Williams is the ONLY starter abck from last year, and he's moving from RT to LT. And that could prove difficult for a while, even for someone with his talent. The 4 new projected starters WERE NOT heavily recruited out of HS, in fact they were ONLY 3 and 2 star prospects. they have NO experience. Coach Stoops called them out after the spring game saying that it was pathetic and that they were out of shape and not physical enough.

  • how any stars a recruit has doenst mean much. Bradford was only a 2 or 3 star prospect, the only two schools that offered to him were OU and TTech. i think things worked out pretty well for this 2 or 3 star guy.

  • "Crazie" is right: just off the top of my head, Brian Simmons (RG) played as much as most of the starters, and Stephen Good (LG), Cory Brandon (RT), and Ben Habern (C) were rated among the nation's elite at their respective positions. (Good was a consensus five-star recruit, as a matter of fact; the other two got four stars apiece.) I agree that the O-line is a cause for concern this year, but the rest of your post is just nuts.

  • Wow you have no clue what you're talking about. Brian Simmons has started before and he is returning and is a senior. He was a 4 star recruit. Ben Habern played some last year and he was the best center in the country out of high school and a 4 star. Stephen Good was a 5 star out of high school and will start at RG. He played some last year as a back up. At RT we have Cory Brandon who is a junior who has played a lot of snaps the last couple years. He was a 4 star out of high school.

  • probably not the most pressing issue, but I think it'd be a lot of fun to set up the spring game like georgia does. An actual game, kickoffs, points are awarded exactly as the ncaa rules dictate. it'd be more entertaining.

  • Oline should get lots of practice against a quality Dline.

  • ball on the win this year javon harris my cousinnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn fffffffffffffffffeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeedddddddddd
