@theLee822 use about 12 inches because when you braid it it gets smaller and when you put it together you cut it. sorry I don't go on this channel a lot but when I do I get comments that are like a week ago so i'm sorry i didn't tell you sooner. and you can also experiment like use 12 inches and its big do 10 and so on but I think 12 inches will fit you.

You should fold the piece in half then cut down the center then u have a piece the same size for each so u have two pieces instead of one

u should put some weights or something on top of the duct tape that u tied down to do the braid so the strings dont go anywhere
