  • how do u get this guy lol

  • Defeat H Wyrm, found in the cave palace in a hidden area. A few side quests are required first, but this enemy is the ultimate in the game mostly due to the sheer length of the battle.

  • next time, when your teammates are dying left and right nad you are down to your last person... you may want to RETREAT lol you almost game over'd three times there

  • @tensuzanpakto Do you really think there will be a next time? lol. Once is enough i'd say.

  • @SpiritFairy1990 Hey don't hate on him you fight your way and he fights his way don't like it? DEAL WITH IT!

  • Everyone has their own strategies and preferred methods. Use what you like, not what some random guide states.

  • ur gambit suck, ashe is the best healer u can find, dont give her buffs for other persons

vaan is ur damagedealer, balthier ur second damagedealer+support (xpotions etc)

    ashe is for party heal..

  • esse foi o jogo q eu mais gostei e joguei... sabe d algum parecido com esse para pc?

  • I found him fairly easy, I literally left to the store and let my characters fight. Took under 2 hours for me. Great Job to everyone that's done it. I actually found the very last secret creature you fight and you can summon ( forgot his name) to be VERY difficult for me.

  • Zodiark? I found him fairly easy actually. When Zodiark's HP gets to about 2/3 of the maximum, get a curaja spell charging with flare following a half second later and let a berserker just rip him up. Zodiark is forced to have to wait for both curaja and especially flare before he can use his special skill, which seems to get used at about the halfway point.

  • @ulillillia Yea Zodiark. I plan on playing the game again so thanks for the advice I can use it. Last time I fought him I barely one and I don't say that lightly lol. thanks again.

  • Btw... Did u have Ribbons?

  • I beat him once It took over 10 hours! Congrats to all those who have!

  • I've defeated Yiazmat 3 times now. The first took 10 hours. The second took 5 hours. The third took the same though would've been less if he didn't heal 3 million HP from too much death on my allies.

  • WTF!!!! I didn't know there was such a long boss fight in the game like this; now i have to go to gamestop and buy the game back -_-

  • lol that hurts 2:20 xD

  • thumbs up of you have the Collectors Edition(:

  • What's so special about the collector's edition anyway? That's the one I have and it comes with a DVD. Is that the only difference?

  • @ulillillia and it's in a metal case

  • Holy freaking crap. I'm not sure I wanna even attempt to fight this guy if it takes so long (patience is not my strong suit, LOL).

  • uhm 2 questions.

why didnt you syphon vaan instead of charging? the dmg he was receiving he wud recharge pretty fast, i guess.

how come your lure doesnt miss? mine misses 40% of the time --''

  • Faith, certain licenses taking effect, a high magic power, and a low magic resist on the target combine to determine the odds of success. That's why lure pretty much always works. Heavy armor helms add little to magic resist. Light armor adds a medium amount but tons of HP making it the best. Mystic armor helms are best for magic resist. During the last 5 bars, syphon isn't very effective - repeated fleeing, revival, berserk, and entering with flare is the best way to finish Yiazmat.

  • casting shell apparently cuts down the likelihood of being hit by death strike by 50%

  • You should have had the Orrachea Armlet equipped. Would have made the battle so much easier.

  • That item is pointless because it gives a mere 25 extra HP. You can gain access to light armor that boosts HP by 680 as early as the dawn shard just being obtained. 680 is way more than 25. The genji gloves or genji gauntlets (whichever it is that raises the combo rate) is the best, especially on a masamune user. The bubble belt is also good.

  • @ulillillia dude he was joking......obviously, calm down

  • Imagine him getting killed at this stage.

  • do you have the original version of the game or that international one?

  • It's the original, the only one I have access to that I'm aware of. The international one, as far as I'm aware, is not available in the US.

  • what do you get? NOTHING? LOL a ~5 hour boss battle... hes got 51 MILLION HP and u get NOTHING?!

  • yazmat gives a lot expierence of patience ir real life.. :)

  • All people who make top 10 hardest boss lists. This boss deserves a slot.

  • @cyanoobsta this deserves to be number 1 because of its hp...

  • is best than ''el verdugo'' (FFX)? im spanish sorry xD

  • The real BS here is that you have to kill yazmat and omega mark XII to get the strongest sword like you need it that that point am I right?

  • @Tyrantbal you dont get any strongest sword from any of those bosses.

  • @9robin3 you need to sell the badges these guys give you in order to get Tournesol at the bazaar if memory serves me right

  • @Tyrantbal oki, you thats what you meant xD

  • yeah for me it took 6 hours T_T!!

  • Why didn't you use Mist when it had very low hp?

  • Quickenings are surprisingly weak late in the game and they use up so much MP that they aren't even worth it. There is an easier way though for the last 5 bars - hide around the corner, berserk a high-power character with the masamune and, before leading him into battle, charge up flare. This way, your berserker will rip while Yiazmut is forced to have to wait for death strike to work. If you're lucky, you can get 2 casts of flare off at once, but you're better off with 1.

  • @ulillillia i see...

  • Vai Chegando no Final fica mais agoniante....!

  • @soadpuro QUAL O SEU LEVEL NESSE GAME?

  • the lengedary boss yiazmat

  • Whoa, u must've felt amazing at this point, when u beat him. :)

  • Most difficult boss in the game? This boss is probable the hardest boss in the entire series!

  • if there was only another rpg like this... ff12 for me is unreplaceable. Im on my 6th playthrough cannot wait to get to yazmat for the second time :D

  • please tell me the equip that u've use it.......

  • Lure + Reverse on leader, Berzerk + Muramasas on other two.

May be harder after it starts using Death spell, but can take away 1/2 of its HP in no time :)

  • Don't you mean the masamune as opposed to the maramasa? 2 berserkers with lure and a support character is best for the first 25 marks on the life bar, maybe even the first 40 marks. Repeatedly fleeing (without using R2) to refresh and striking with flare makes the last 5 bars much easier - just berserk one masamune user with genji gloves and get flare charged up. Yiazmut has to wait a long time before its death strike finally executes. 25 to 40 rounds of this finishes him off.

  • @ulillillia yeah, masamune :)

  • epic. enjoyed every second

  • is that a aeon

  • Can anyone tell me how to make this thing appear? I can see its on Ridonara Colliseum.

  • Stage 1: Defeat H Wyrm. Stage 2: Accept the Yiazmut hunt. Stage 3: Make all necessary preparations (story progress for access to all spells is the best). Stage 4: Defeat Yiazmut (caution: long battle). Stage 5: Return to Montblanc to report the hunt's end.

  • @ulillillia Ok thanks man!

  • what does LURE status do?

  • It causes those targets with lure status to always be the target of enemies, unless out of range (it's also why the party leader gets targeted quite often when not under lure status - the one with lure is out of range). Lure works wonders for a damage dealer equipped with heavy armor (the maximillian for example) and a high-evasion shield. This way, enemy attacks will do surprisingly little damage, what few times they do manage to hit.

  • you can really tell hes desperate at this point with the constant death strike crap

  • a hady tip would be to contiully cast reverse on your "troops" or cast reverse and healing spells on the boss

  • I think Yiazmut is immune to every status effect, except beneficial ones like protect, haste, reflect, etc. Reverse does no good with frequent instant death and it's a major MP hog.

  • Wow i wish i had Yiazmat as an esper instead of all the other ones. ITS HUGE AND ITS BIG, IT CAN TAKE DOWN VAYNE IN A GO GO LOL

  • u mustve been like "goddamn, just frikin die already!" lol

i heard yiazmat in izjs is easier to handle.

  • @X5Exotic of all enemies,u left the gambit system on its own for yiazmat? dude,u got balls, big 1.

  • What I would try is putting two people on Bravery, Haste, Bubble, and Berserk. Keep up with Reverse and healing. One person has a Katana with Genji gloves, and the other a Great Sword.

  • I used a completly diffrent way..I use Arise as my only spell, except for Dispell. n-n

  • Of course, you can use whatever method you feel most comfortable with. I find curaga, arise, berserk, and decoy the 4 most essential spells with faith helping. Flare helps for the last 5 bars so a berserker can rip while Yiazmut has to wait for "death strike" to be executed. A double dose of flare is especially effective but hard to do as it has to be done otherwise simultaneously.

  • @ulillillia Mm..I'm goign to be as nice as possible about this, but...why not do this

Your party members are going to die, it's a part of the game so use this gambit setup.

    Ally: Any----> Arise

Ally: Any----> (Known counter spell for any status effects known the monster gives you) Esuna/Stona/etc

    Then: Foe: Nearest Visable---> Attack

Foe: Flying---> Telekinesis (Or, attack w/ a bow)

That's what I use, I was wondering if any agreed.

  • Well played lol.

  • Can't believe I spent my whole saturday last week trying to beat this boss and died.while he was on his last 2 health bar because I ran out of freaking phoenix downs.

  • dude that is amazing how you rez so fast like instantaneously as soon as someone goes down and watching this vid makes me wanna finish 12 and fight this guy

  • the best fight of all games and the longest

  • i knew it from the guide that it will took forever to beat this boss, so i just skip this.

Behemoth king took me an hour to defeat it and i know the pain to take 5 times that number to beat this

  • I defeated H Wyrm, with nearly 9 million HP in only 40 minutes. Behemoth King took me about 25 minutes, but only because of those annoying palings, especially the immunity to physical attacks one.

  • I hate this boss with a passion, I got it down to one life bar then i almost died, ran to revive everyone and it healed itself 6 bars in a matter of seconds... needless to say that completely discouraged me from finishing the boss after 8 hours T_T

  • You have to be fast. Revive everyone, put on the most essential status effects, then dart back into battle with a dispel spell being cast (since the enemy likes to add status effects to itself while away). Once the main party is defeated, I run around the corner to heal and revive as needed, as shown throughout this series.

  • For protection from instant death: The status effect Shell will give it a 50% chance to miss. It's not perfect, but it's better than nothing.

  • It got good reviews (only FF to get 40/40 in famitsu), but the gameplay was very divisive, with many fans saying it played the game for you while others such as myself absolutely loved the gameplay, but was disappointed with the characters and lack of plot. They should bring back a place like the golden saucer for every FF game, that makes the game feel so much more immersive, instead of just a cordoned off battling arena for the whole game.

  • Isn't there also an 18 hour boss fight somewhere? If anyone could beat that it'd be you.

  • This is the longest boss fight in the game and a player with moderate skill taking few risks could do this in 5 hours. Yes, I'm not much of risk-taker.

  • Youre thinking of FFXI

  • My favourite part was when you fought Yiazmat.

  • my friend couldnt do this

  • Phew, cut it close for a second there. You're a champion Ulillillia, seriously. Also, I'm disappointed in the fact that there was Genji Equipment in your inventory. I was looking forward to a video of you fighting Gilgamesh! Unless I missed it...

  • I explained it earlier - I recorded the vocal track, but, upon finishing the battle, I noticed I wasn't recording so I didn't have the Gilgamesh battle. I've had this happen with the Bubsy forest eggs super speed video as well - I had a very good run at it, but it was spoiled because the video wasn't recorded.... It's only the second time it's happened though.

  • Cyclone messed you up pretty bad here. Should've equipped windbreakers when he began the casts to reduce damage. With optimal equipment, this boss 'only' take 2-3 hours. Frankly still a horrendous amount of time, this is an ill-thought out battle. Although I'll certainly take this over some of X's 'hilarious' ideas (by god I hated the minigames. and the sphere grid. AND MONSTER CATCHING.)

  • I don't know what a windbreaker is or if I even have any. I just try to watch the "combat log" and if I see a "cyclone" in there, I get someone immediately charging up curaja which pretty much negates it outside the "sap" status effect. The instant death is more troublesome than cyclone though, much more.

  • What do you mean by "I'll let it live"? I'm confused.

  • Instead of investing 5 hours into killing it, he will instead 'let it live.'

  • He means that the fact that it took you 5 hours is quite horrible. And to be honest, it is. You should have done it in 1-2 hours had you the skill.

  • My first play took 10 hours. I think I can probably get it in 3 hours at best.

  • Just to let you know, in FF10 you can get death resistance on your equipment. It isn't all too easy to get though, so far as I remember.

  • A 5 hour battle... who has the endurance!? I think after Final Fantasy VI and VII I completely lost interest in these games.

Cool video still =) Nice to see a condensed version!

  • There's very few that do have this sort of thing. I'd actually rather take 10 life bars of instant death for 10 million HP than 50. Since the save crystals are 2 zones away, getting to them to save your game mid battle will mean the boss is refreshed in full (since every enemy is fully refreshed upon getting 2 zones away).

  • ulillillia... sorry to tell you this now, but you can actually go away and save mid-battle... he recovers some health but only about a bar at most. I used the save point where you land from the airship.

  • Quality seems to have taken a drastic drop for this latest video.

  • you made me think when you said 4 2/5 hrs lol

    4:24 <_<

Great job killing yaz looks like ivt was a real pain :D
