  • My friend get's so pissed at me when I play Star Trek online when he is around, because I every time I warp. I always say "Punch it"

  • the one with three nacelles is a blaspheme!!

  • What a terrible effect. A flash of light, engines leave a blue trail, and that's it. THERE IS NO WARP IN THIS WARP!

Trek 09 was shit. Fuck the glowing reviews, this is one of the worst Treks. It's down there with Insurrection and Nemesis in bad writing, it just had a big budget to make shit flashier. Just like Transformers, which was written by the same two hacks: flashy retarded shit.

  • @nightsdreamparadox Ok you make a new movie for Trek and Transformers and post it on Youtube. Based on your critisim these movies should be the best ones ever. Fucking idiot stop trying to troll its pathetic.

  • @DaOriginalGrandPanda Give me a $150 million budget and I will produce a Trek better than this crap. It's not hard, I'd just hire some writers from Deep Space 9 to get a plot that makes sense and is not full of holes, and the rest wouldn't be hard.

  • @nightsdreamparadox Ok you obviously have no idea what your talking about so im going to stop replying to your pathetic cries for attention before you embarrass yourself further. Btw your names gay as fuck

  • @nightsdreamparadox And then you'd have Insurrection. Enjoy that, bro.

  • @nightsdreamparadox It's actually a great film. You just forgot what made TOS fun and basically a western in space. The cumbersome, bloated, knees-don't-bend Frakes era is over. Time for Kirk's wiseass smirking again. It's still Trek -- it's just firmly working with the 60s concept -- and I think it excels for it.

  • @Bobby3OOO It would have been good, except for the fuckton of plot holes and contrived coincidences.

  • Pike: "Maximum Warp. Punch it!" Sulu: ‘roar’. Engines stall Pike: "It's not my fault!"

  • so why the fuck didnt you include the enterprise warping out in this clip? dumbass.

  • @MitchH452 Because the Enterprise didn't go to warp then and there, but was delayed for a few moments; mainly because the new pilot, Sulu, forgot to disengage the external initial dampener (In other words, he forgot to release the parking brake). lol

  • I really like this effect as opposed to early one's. Not just because of quality, but it's reminds you that in actuality it is space doing the moving part, not the ships.

  • Star Trek - Powered by Intel i4738 Processors, the leader in space travel computing.

  • @DOTKIX No. It's not a Windows Bridge. It's an Apple Bridge. Don't you notice the lame ass reading lamps on every light up console?

  • @Trekfreek LOL!

  • @Trekfreek I have been to an Apple store and do not see the resemblance

  • @Hartzilla2007 Then you never been to the one in L.A. California.

  • Those new ship designs look amazing!

  • @DJDelta0 Amazingly bad and none fuctional.

  • must have wasted a lot of antimatter on that burn lol

  • I'm not a big fan of the warp jump although i LOVE the film even with its plot holes. My biggest thing is Pike saying "punch it", hes not han solo although I know abrams prefers wars to trek, he should say "engage" like Pike originally did.

  • @Kguy985 Don't you mean Picard?

  • @Frapazoid Picard said it also but Pike used it first in the pilot series "the cage"

  • @Kguy985 O I C

  • @Kguy985 The real Pike always said "engage".

  • @Trekfreek Yeah well now its Picard's thing.

  • i actually love how the ships go to warp in the new star trek , id love to see one of these computer wiz kids take like voyager and ad the same effect ..:D

  • That's not a warp...

THAT'S A SOLID KICK IN THE ASS !!!

  • I don't like how the new Enterprise looks itself, but the other ships look sweet. Especially the triple-nacelle one.

  • Why this video stops a few seconds before the main ship jumps to warp, escapes me.

  • @pedazodeboludo Because they screw up the jump and it takes another half a minute.

  • you are not supposed to engage the warp drive inside the solar system

  • @storm1086 i think you mean inside a planet

  • The warp effect in this movie was probably more accurate than previous ones, but still..fans would rather it be slower, so we can enjoying watching the ship doing that 'stretching' effect, like the Enterprise D..Its sci-fi..a cool effect is more important than scientific accuracy!

  • @Quisquellano26 I beg to differ. Science fiction is science fiction also because of a certain degree of scientific plausibility and verisimilitude. You can't completely throw them out the window, otherwise you'd get techified fantasy and little else. But I get what you mean, ST is more about the fun and it's more on the soft side of sci-fi plausibility, so OK. ;-) Oh, and personally speaking, I like both the old and new warp effect. ;-)

  • @ZemplinTemplar Then turn down the sound on your TV because space battles would technically be totally silent...enjoy your scientific plausibility..

  • Is anyone bothered by the fact thatthe capatain says 'Punch it'?

  • @youngsmyname Obviously not very proper. But considering the age of the crew and the movie trying to be trendy. I think it fits.

  • Because of Sulu's mistake, they survived what would have been a total annihilation from the Narada.

  • I wonder if anyone could redo the intro for TNG using this warp effect?! That would be sweet!

  • Is this starbase station on Earth orbit?

  • Why are the warp nacelles in the alternate reality so enormous?

    Awesome effect, JJ.

  • Am I the only one who thinks that the Enterprise's Bridge looks like the Apple-Store from Hell?

  • @kuribayashi84 do you watch sfdebris?

  • @Nebagram Nope, why?

  • @kuribayashi84 No reason, I just reckon you'd appreciate his humour. :-)

  • This was the best in theatres. The bass ripped your entire body to shreds.

  • This is the whole movie for me. That and when they arrive at Vulcan and had to maneuver around the remains of the fleet. How many times have we seen the Enterprise leaving Earth's orbit under less than idea circumstances in a movie.

  • They broke the sound barrier in outer space!

  • boring warp jump

  • @MrMysticPaladin they could not even detect where they were warping into

  • That was nice and all..but I came to see the ENTERPRIZE go to warp...

  • the biggest baddest ships in the fleet get there first. they might think ,oh,. the enemy will be dead when we get there, they get there ,all the big super ships are in little tiny pieces. O_O,

    oh shit.....

  • just found a copy of this film on blueray, it looks so sexy.

  • Is the warp core plugged in?

  • R.I.P. headphone users...

  • @Ital721 Its actually better in my 200 dollar headset.

  • I would like to see new federation classes of starhips in the sequel

  • I like this effect. Doesn't bother with much of a light trail, just quick and to the point. Which is kinda what you want in faster-than-light travel.

  • @TheZacula

    suk my dik

  • Wow wow !!

  • I really hate the redesign.

  • @hammerman6842 Why?

  • @quizzisation It looks too...ungainly. For one, the nacelles go from large to thin damn near. There are way too many neon lights on it. Looks like a vegas strip. And the interior corridors were way too white. I liked the bridge but the whole redesigned Constituion class looks like a bag of ass. Look up some of the fan created ones. Any of those would have been a shit ton better.

  • @hammerman6842 Neon? Remember the E-E with those lava lamp nacelles?

  • @Username3141519 They weren't that bad. They at least looked uniform to the rest of the ship. This one...just something about it rubs me the wrong way.

  • "Phunch it!"

    *THUMP*

"ARGHH GOD-DAMN IT! I THINK I BROKE MY KNUCKLES!!!"

  • Anyone else watch this and think about just how far YouTube has come from ONLY being able to play 240p and NOT full screen?

  • @SuperChicken13 nope

  • Though not as a dramatic as previous installments, I kind of like it more. Simple and to the point, plus the bass of those ships taking off in the theater was fucking nuts.

  • @MrSloan How was this less dramatic than the other movies? Every other movie went to warp gracefully compared to this. This is definitely the coolest depiction of it as far as the Trek universe goes.

  • never get tired of that scene.

  • i lve star trek forever

  • in the theater that kicked our asses

  • @TheCatskillHillbilly

is it true ur mom is a fat dyke

  • @petujaymz well that's completely out of left field.

  • Sulu: we're having some troubles with the warp drives.

support: have you tried turning the system off and on again.

  • i need all scene with those good text of captine when enterprise dont jump

  • stucks at 0:32

  • I had a dream last night that I was on the bridge of this enterprise.

  • CAPTAIN PIKE = "Is the parking break on?"

  • The Human Adventure Is Just Beginning....As Soon As We Turn Off The Parking Brake....

  • Don't you love it when there's sound in space? I hate sci-fi films that try and go the realistic way, because when I want to watch spaceships, I want to hear them roar.

  • They better fix engineering in the next movie. The NX class had a better looking engine room nearly 100 hundred years earlier. Memory alpha has concept art of what they wanted it to look like if they had the money. Instead we got a Budweiser brewery.

  • @trekgeek1 lol xmas parties must be fun

  • @trekgeek1 THANK GOD someone els things the same as I on this issue! Also..the scale of the ship is all wrong. This ship(enterprise) IS NOT LARGER THAN A GALAXY CLASS!

  • @bsgtrekfan88 Calm down, dude. Ok? Now, are you sitting down? Brace yourself for impact. None of this is actually real.

  • I guess the parking break was on...

  • Punch it Harold!!gotta get to space castle

  • This Enterprise is bigger than the Enterprise E.

  • @SuperJuliusC

Not even close, it's the same size as the Enterprise from the original show, just with a few minor changes to design.

  • @CynicalVision You could be right so I wont just say "No".

But I have read that the capacity and the size of this ship was changed and has now a crew of 800 while the Enterprise E has a capacity of 750 people.

  • @CynicalVision "Enterprise E" is 2250 feet long - "Enterprise 2009" is 2357 feet long...

  • is the parking break on

  • Don't those guys ever get------whiplash??? After all going from 0 to A Billion MPH must have some effect......

  • @itsNOTreallyMYfault Inertial dampeners.

  • @bonecrime Sounds to me like the 24th century equivilent to adult diapers. LOL

  • The jump to lightspee...I mean Warp looks almost like the Star Wars effect

The hyperspa...I mean Warp...whatever, look like a bluer version of Wars Hyperspace

Given the differences in propulsion effects in XI and "prime", after the Kelvin got whacked Starfleet invested on new propulsion at the expense of weapons and shields

Either they got transwarp to work (30 years before Excelsior failed), use Quantum Slipstream (we could say Nero has it), or since J.J. is a Wars fan...it is "Hyperdrive"

  • @FedRebel

No transwarp, it's just lightspeed but in a very different visual way.

  • Damn shame we are born to early to see stuff like this come true :(

  • Maybe if sulu wasn't up all night smoking weed with Kumar he would have noticed the parking brake was still on.

  • PUNCH IT. *VZOOM*

  • this is so damn cool..

  • dont care for this design at all.

  • @uzimodem

    i don't care for ur mom's FACE

    fugly bich

  • @petujaymz WTF? FUCK YOU COCKSUCKING MUTHERFUCKER!!!

  • @uzimodem get ur dik out my ass u rapist cunt. suk my dik faggot.

  • @petujaymz I dont have your 1 inch pecker BOY. you might want to check between your marble sized tiny balls or ask you muther. fucking pedophile cocksucking mutherfucker.

  • @uzimodem Me either, but the movie was good enough that I can kind of let that go

  • @argebarse I dont hate it, but I like the Enterprise A design alot better.

  • the enterprise E with a modern look like this would be awesome.

  • schlechter sound.

  • I'll never understand about the whining about the new Enterprise. I don't really care about the scale differences. Sure the engine room is weird but externally she is one elegant starship! You really get the futuristic sci-fi feeling not like the old ships(yes even the Enterprise E). I love the old ships but th redesigned ship just seem more futuristic and real to me.

    IMHO

  • Imagine when these special effects become old and people are laughing at how lame the effects look. I'd like to see what we'd have by then!

  • Our economy if Ron Paul is elected

  • @DragonKP Read up on Somalia if you want to know what the country will be like if Ron Paul is elected

  • @argebarse

now read up on ur mom's FACE

    she a fugly bich

  • Sulu's screwup probably saved the entire ship.....just saying

  • @vk732 Actually its very very true his screw up saved the ship and everyone on it. If the Enterprise had arrived at the same time with the rest of the fleet it just would have been another random target. Even when it showed up late and alone the romulan commander just barely took notice of its name and held fire.

  • Dilithium mined on Janus VI, warp core made in China, hand brake made in japan by Nissan. Look on captain face when he orders abandon ship priceless.

  • Personally my favorite depiction of warp in franchise, you can really feel the ship being yanked from sub-light speeds into superluminal speeds.

  • Warp drive won't be installed until Tuesday.

  • @evrbody ?

  • Comment removed

  • I love the punch it line.

  • imagine the vid sped up 10x. the ships'll just disappear.

  • BOOM! Warpjump!

  • Best enterprise version! also great sounding!

  • THE BEST SHIP IVE EVER SEEN!!!!!

  • 0:18 Maximum lens flare, punch it!

  • this was epic on imax

  • Best warp efects of all ST films - most realistic!

  • LOL @ EmperorJim! I saw it in an IMAC

  • It was SO freakin' awesome when this scene came on opening night in the theater. It was like, "Audience: shit yourselves."

  • At 0:09, what is the ship in the background?

  • @OvoJeGovno The one with the ring of blue lights? That's not a ship, that's the space station they were docked at.

  • @OvoJeGovno Well in this movie none of the ships apart from the enterprise followed previous designs, but they have similar look-alikes to the original ships. The one at 0:09 does in fact look much like the Proxima refit class, although may be slightly different. Hope this helps.

  • I love it! I did experience this in the theater and man, was it loud! When they go to warp, there's this huge boom, nearly deafened me.

  • but little did Pike know, that Sulu screwing up would allow them to arrive a short few minutes after the rest of the fleet got owned.

  • I fucking love that sound effect.

    *THMP*

  • from what u nerstnad in space it's totally dead silence I wish they would add to make just dead weird you don't hear anthing outside of the ship or the vacuum of space.

  • @SuperColonel77

That would be one boring set of sequences

  • @TheDarkFrontier Yeah it would.Don't i know that already though because in "reality' partner, it's dead silent. 2001:A Space Oddysey did that and that movie is as close as reality as your going to get and plus it's way better then this and from what i understand. And of course critics vote 2001 better then this so. ......WTF am i typing shit to you then?

  • @SuperColonel77

Yes, and the sequences in 2001, while extremely visually impressive for its day, were tedious, dull and had nothing happening in them story wise.

  • @TheDarkFrontier I always wonder what a Warp Drive will look like don't you?

  • isnt "punch it" something han solo would say?

  • @kd84afc The writers of this movie are actually hardcore Star Wars fans and they felt like sprinkling a few references just for fun

  • @level22productions thats the main reasons I felt this movie didnt feel to much like star trek to be honest.. entertaining movie.. but with the writers and director being star wars fans.. It felt to much like that...

  • @kd84afc Well let's face the facts; if they made this strictly for Trekkies, it wouldn't have been a financial success, especially after the last TNG movie. They had to make it... "universal" which means taking out the nerdy and making everything flashy and fit for summer fun. That's Hollywood for ya

  • Heard in in the theater and was amazing. Best warp effect ever.

  • What a terrible movie. Did no justice to the Star Trek series.

  • @Chris9183 So what you want we should get William Shatner & the gang back again? How about getting the Necronomicon to ressurrect Gene Roddenberry, DeForest Kelley, James Doohan & other actors who have passed to the final frontier? Do a movie with them going up against Klingons again & again & again? GET A LIFE!

  • @NY4Life When I saw my email that said I had a comment from "NY4Life", I knew before I opened it that it would be idiotic.

  • @Chris9183 Well when you said "Did no justice to the Star Trek series" I said my comment with sarcasm about how big a moron you are! Just because it did well commercially doesn't mean it's not done well and just because Gene Roddenberry is gone doesn't make this a non Star Trek, this is a different view of Star Trek, DEAL WITH IT!

  • JJ Arams should have directed the Star wars prequels.

  • The USS Enterprise has to be the sexiest ship :P

  • @erzan AGREED!

  • @erzan If by sexy you mean "hideous" and "retarded" then yes it is!

  • @thespiswolf what kind of moronic comment is that? so a sexy person is hideous? -_-

  • @erzan Wow... Reading for comprehension REALLY isn't for you, is it?

  • @thespiswolf Neither is your grammar.

  • @erzan You would be incorrect. Just because YOU don't understand what I wrote doesn't mean I wrote it wrongly. Thanks.

  • Comment removed

  • -_- i know exactly what you mean't. Still was a silly pointless comment in my view. I and 15 other people think the ship looks amazing, and by sexy I mean sexy. Get over it ^_^

  • @erzan And I disagree. The curved nacells support pylons look hideous, the nacells themselves are SO disproportionate, the neck supporting the saucer section is set WAY too far back on the body, and the body's underbelly tapers too far forward making it much longer than it needs to be. If a starship could have Down's Syndrome, this is what it would look like!

  • @thespiswolf lol your comments are actually funny to be fair. Okay I can see why some one would dislike it, but I like it because for a spaceship it looks very unique, its sleek and I love the saucer shape. Although we disagree on the ship design, we agree on our love for star trek? ^_^

  • @erzan Now the saucer section is PERFECT. On that we agree. Don't get me wrong, I loved the movie DESPITE the ship. And at least the JJ Abrams Retardoprise isn't HALF as goofy looking as the Galaxy-class Enterprise!

  • @thespiswolf Fail troll is fail.

  • @F14ace It's not trolling to have a different opinion. Thanks.

  • @erzan Only the one in the movie.
