Um disney Channel was dead when Hannah Montana first aired. And Underwrapes and camp Rock are two COMPLETELY generations of Disney Channel. Underwrapes was MY generation, Camp Rock is my little sisters. In short The whole "Kids are Stars" era of DC was the end. Which is around early 2007

Back in the late 1990s or the early 2000s, I thought this is such a teenage channel because, mostly, it shows young people in shows and movies dating, kissing, and boyfriend / girlfriend innuendo. But now, it's so much about that.
My gosh I remember Recess and the Magic School Bus! I'm at college right now with no TV, and guess what? I'm not really missing it. I literally have to surf channels just to try to find something decent to watch. Today's producers of TV tick me off!
While I do remember some of the old shows and movies, most of them, I do not. I come from an even older version of the Disney channel, Nickelodeon, and even all of Cartoon Network. All until the early 2000's, when everything seemed to hit a wall, and everything is now pre-teen/teen live-action talentless drivel. We had shows they had those audiences, and most are still lame in hind sight, but they were at least charming enough to stay on the air in their time.
@VampKK I like Phineas and Ferb too. The Suite Life of Zack and Cody is way better than their next series, The Suite Life on Deck. What show I miss the most is The Replacements.

My grandparents subscribed to it and me and my older sister used to watch it at their house. I'm 22 and I don't even know why we still have the DC. I am 22 years old and until last year i watched Disney channel every day. I do like Phineus and Ferb. But the rest of the new stuff is just stupid. It is centered more on the tweens now. And there is no meaning to the shows now. No disney magic anymore on Disney Channel.

While I do remember some of the old shows and movies, most of them, I do not. I come from an even older version of the Disney channel, Nickelodeon, and even all of Cartoon Network. All until the early 2000's, when everything seemed to hit a wall, and everything is now pre-teen/teen live-action talentless drivel. We had shows they had those audiences, and most are still lame in hind sight, but they were at least charming enough to stay on the air in their time.

This honestly made me cry. Pixel Perfect was my favorite movie. I loved Lizzie McGuire, That's So Raven, Even Stevens, Boy Meets World, Pepper Ann, Lloyd in Space, The Weekenders, and MANY more.
And it always seemed to me like disney movies used to have actual emotion in there movies. I swear i cried off of most of them. lol

Yeah, remember when the Disney Channel used to actually be about Mickey and his pals, with the occasional "teen" show mixed in? And how back in the day, the only way to have it 24-7 was to subscribe? My grandparents subscribed to it and me and my older sister used to watch it at their house. I'm 22 and I don't even know why we still have the DC. If they actually re-ran the old cartoons then I'd watch. My little cousin watches them on Youtube and he loves them!

I don't think the problem is the dating and kissing. If you remember, Mickey and Minnie were boyfriend and girlfriend, and also Donald and Daisy..This whole entertainment industry is about change and bringing something new for the new generations.
