  • I'm 19, and I swear I was born in the wrong era. This is true music right here <3 Long live the king.

  • love it! <3

  • I recently heard the new Chris Isaac version of this song and could not remember where I had heard it before. Now I know why.....it was so long ago! Chris does a great job of it, along with a lot of other oldies. I going to buy the CD. Called "Beyond the Sun." Referring to Sun Records.

  • what a song, what a voice, Elvis we love you forever

  • beautiful treatment of this song Elvis' last Sun record and also issued by RCA after the contract was in affect The sparseness of the accompanyment and Elvis' obvious feelings which he so unaffectedly put into all his early recordings Not to negate any of the magic of later records Even when drugs took more and more of a hold on Elvis he still managed to put out some classics Vaya Con Dios Elvis Aron and Jesse Garon

  • Such a wonderful song, i listen very often to this one in the past.

    Thanks for sharing Jackie.

    Regards,

    C.

  • Ah memories of high school.

  • I think I've read in some place that this recording is the first one in what Elvis put drums. Is it true? (from Brazil)

  • Jackie, I hope you read this. you did a great job with your videos. I love all the pictures. I have loved Elvis since I first heard him in 1956.He was and is the best singer of all time. He was so handsome and sexy. He touched my heart. I am from Miss also. He was really poor and so was I.I still miss him. I listen to his songs everyday. Elvis will always be the king of rock and roll. Thank you again for a great job.

  • i love his early sun records stuff a lot.

  • This takes me back to 1955 when I was 16 and I first heard this song, it drove me crazzzzy! Loved then and love it now! I would drive around in my first car, a 1946 Oldsmobile all of the time and listen to all of this almost 'rockabilly.' I went to Abraham Lincoln High School in N/E Philadelphia.

  • @stupidshitsucks Hello to a 30 year old Elvis fan in Wildwood!

Time is a mutha aint it?

  • This song is so special to me, my very first vinyl single of Elvis which I got as a birthday present from my older sister in 1956. It really brings back so many memories and it´s definitely one of my faves. Thanks!

    All green! (thumb up)

  • AYYYYY QUE Preciosa cancion la andaba buscando!!!!!

    y linda coleccion de fotos..Gracias!!!

    Elvis Love you!!

  • These early songs illustrate how he was a simple young singer just doing some country crooning. Lots of singers of the period had that similar style, but Elvis was able to make the leap forward with RCA. That debut album even has a certain 'beginner' feel, a disarming innocence that, for me, makes it actually more special. The songs were as big as the singer, for a short while.

  • this is one of my favorite elvis songs...

i like how the whole beat changes during the solo

  • rip elvis the best singer ever

  • Love this tune Jackie

  • great vid, wow nice to see the old pics

    Bill

  • Elvis frequently sang this song on the Louisiana Hayride. t is available on The Complete Sun Sessions, A Date With Elvis, Great Country Songs, The King of Rock 'n' Roll-The Complete 50s Masters, and 2nd to None, which is where this version is from.

  • Written by Stanley Kesler and Charlie Feathers. Elvis recorded it in July 1955 at Sun Records with Scotty Moore and Bill Black and Johnny Bernero on drums. It reached #1 for 5 weeks on Billboard's Country Juke Box chart and #1 for 2 weeks on the Country Best-Seller chart, remaining on the chart for 39 weeks, the longest of any Elvis single release on any Billboard chart. It was the B-side to Mystery Train.

  • Great song, and as always fantastic vid Jackie:)

  • This is such a very beautiful Country song. This song was a #1 hit for Elvis in 1955 on the Country Chart, but this song wasn't included on Elvis' 30 #1 hits CD. Elvis will always be #1. This video was absolutely perfect in every way, 10 Stars as always Jackie.
