I've done something like that too. I went into a raider base and before I came around a corner I heard a shotgun blast, but my partner didn't wig out so I was confused. I went around the corner and saw a dead raider in front of a shotgun-trap and the tripwire was cut. XD

I'm already maxed out on my level so exp wouldn't matter and I was still able to grap the shotgun (though it was in poor condition and mine was full so I just sold the thing anyway).

@monkiessss Honestly, you're lying. Super-mutants just walk through their traps and there are no ragdolls in the game. I think you heard the term 'Ragdoll Physics' and assumed it was a doll instead of the way items move.

@DRYMEATcosLIFEsuck I'm sorry but I don't know what comodore 64 is. I have Nintendo 64 but Fallout 3 isn't on there. Even if you can get enemies to set off their own traps, you didn't explain why you said you used ragdolls when there isn't a ragdoll in the game.

@tenika5 Dude, you're an idiot. First off, a Commodore 64 is a really old type of computer. He was suggesting you were playing the original fallout. And seriously, you could have googled that and found out in like 3 seconds. Secondly, when he says ragdoll, he doesn't mean an actual ragdoll. It's a term used to refer to something that behaves in a ragdoll like way (hence ragdoll physics). In his case, he's referring to dead bodies that can be thrown on to traps.

this isn't always what it is (btw the raider just stepped on a mine) but sometimes when two NPC of hostile factions towards eachother engage in combat there will be an explosion even if no one has explosives, its just meant to alert you of some action.

I'm assuming your asking where I got that info, After playing for awhile and hearing all these explosions I decided to investigate, I later realized that when you hear those explosions the source always seems to be a conflict between a couple enemies, then when I got the G.E.C.K. DLC (PC modding program) I looked it up and it's written as a scripted event.
