Well I know in java programming, the indices for arrays, strings, etc start at zero.. I'm sure other computer languages do as well.

So, as a Georgia Tech student (Chem E) myself, I feel the need to issue a disclaimer for anyone looking at Tech who's discouraged by this video and the comments: At times Tech can really get to you (hooray final's week!) it does not have to be bad at all. Get out of your room and meet people on campus. Join clubs. Remember that you live in the middle of downtown Atlanta and all that comes with that. Sure, we're all kind of nerdy, but you can definitely have fun with it!

charlsielem, if you're thinking about studying engineering at tech, think HARD about whether or not you REALLY want to do that! I also go to tech, so I know for a fact that engineering's torture, especially electrical engineering, which is what i'm doing.

ME's a good major. It's not as hard as EE, but it's still really tough. Fortunately, it's almost a guarantee that you'll find a job if you graduate, despite the shi**y economic crisis, so the work you put into it will probably pay off.
