i know this sounds stupid, but i ride just mountain bike, not downhill, do u have to downhill to get this bike, i know it would be hard only cuz downhills are heavy but do you?

@L3GITFIXIE to use it the way it would be ridden you should do dh or freeride with it but you can ride it any where else too it will just not work as well

Yeah it is a 2010 but its not the UPDATED 2010 frame that has a beefier shock mount and a gusset going up to the head tube. On that frame there the shock mount is prone to breaking and the head tube weld cracks. Just be careful.

Yeah i know its the 2010 but thats not the UPDATED 2010. The 2008 and 2009 breaks swingarms they fixed that for 2010 BUT the shock mount on the 2010 is prone to breaking and the head tube will crack if you ride it a lot. If you drove up to diablo right now they have the updated frame for 2010 direct from jamis as a matter of fact im going to go buy one soon they are selling there brand new bikes that they never got into rental circulation for 3000.

Beware of the shock mount cracking and the head tube cracking just take it back to diablo if that happens they will replace it with the updated frame they resolved those issues.

the only problem you have with buying a rental bike like that is the bike has no warentee if you were to happen to break it

yes, they also gave me extra brake pads and stuff like that

did u find what rims u got? how about the bam frame, good to ride? (i dont know much about jamis)

ya the rims are mavic ex 823 and the frame is sweet rails turns, takes drop after drop, is very good in the air, and peddles pretty well too. the only down side that i could find is that when you bottom out the suspension the rear tire hits the seat if you do not have it high enough.

no but i got it used from diablo. if you get it new there is a warranty that jamis gives you
