@kbent88 be a long 3000 miles with a baja trying keeping it under 3000 rpm.... first issue i see is the clutch doesn't engage till 5000 rpm so there goes your method out the window first thing.... second how the hell you gonna drive a rc 3000 miles.... and when is the last time you bought a 2 stroke car from the dealership new any way?
just do the smart thing and break it in how hpi says to, seems the most logical thing to do, no?
@1NFAM0US0NE WOW. definitely talking about a REAL car. I said dealership. not hobby shop. Any logic on your part should have told you that when i said 3k miles i wasn't referring to a model...I was responding to someone who was saying the baja doesn't need to be broken in. yano, the one in the UPLOADER comments section.....
@kbent88 my point was the motors have nothing in common and neither does the break in.... instead of being a smart ass with your original post you could have said how your suppose to break in a baja and done something productive, that was my point, if you couldn't tell i was being sarcastic im sorry i cant type any more sarcastically.... saying "i bought a new car and the dealer told me to drive it this way..." means nothing when the discussion is topic is a BAJA lol
you suck at the handleing i got a baja 5b but i would highly recomend a set of proline excavators they are a wonderful tyre excellent grip on the gravel and all ya got to do is just back off then give it a boot full and the ass end will stick out perfectly but apart from that very nicetruck
u cant handle it.. well nobody can.. thats why 2wd sux for precisous driving.. u just pull gas, and go nowhere.. well.. but nice car, 4wd would be better
@scooterkieran13 Running the motor at a low speed so all the parts in the motor can be lubed up the right way. If you run a new motor at a high speed you run the chance of blowing the motor up. This go's for EVERY motor FULL SCALE or MODEL for you how think you don't have too break in the 5T or 5B.
Then youre lucky, I have to brush a feet of snow of my (real)car, scrape the ice on the windows and charge my battery every fucking day while freezing my ass of before I go to work,,
the motor is from a lawn mower/whipper snipper, weed whacker whatever. When you buy one of those you dont run in your lawn mower by putting tanks through it, really not that neccesary.
Depends again what type of fuel you run in it. this is set up for high octane!!! I use booster also !!! Throw that in the weed wacker you will have no legs after using it!!!
ITs only run in if its old becuase of the metals used because if it is new its the same material so its not needed to runin unlike the old petrol engines from the old times and thats actually y so in ur face
when you do a (break in) your sealing your pistons. and the rings. and if you dont ride it really hard then they wont seal properly and you want get full power
ANY engine needs to be broken in. I bought a brand new car and the dealer told me to keep it under 3k rpm for 3k miles.

@kbent88 yup. some just require more then others.

It's a engine from a chainsaw. you can run them in any weather and they don't need broken in. Those engines like the abuse.

05cprout 2 years ago
@SuperChevy446 You should run in every new engine. Chances are lawn mower engines are pre-run in at the factory so you don't need to do it yourself.
veryfyme 1 year ago
@SuperChevy446 do you attach pipes and mufflers to your lawn mower, whipper snipper, weed wacker no you dont
