  • best soundtrack in wow ever. when i got here the first time i walked around for an hour just listening to the music and watching the scenery

    :)

  • I miss the old days, even wotlk...Now everything is ruined :(

  • I'm so high right now

  • Best Wow Music Ever

  • Wotlk CUM BACK

  • must...hold...back...tears! I miss Wotlk :( And this song is just fantastic!!!

  • love this song reminds of doing daillys for the wolfar<3

  • in lvl 77-78-79 i arrived to Sholazar Basin, i falled in love for this music... special the between 1:07 and 1:23...Man!, the sound whith the "maracas" was awesome!.

  • I love this song, because it is very beautiful, and this zone is very beautiful too! : )) <3

  • Damn right this has no dislikes!

  • Ah, I had so many memories here.

Ganking at Nesingwary camp, chasing down people mining and doing dailies, ganking soooo many people at the oracle camp and River's Heart. Also had epic level 80 battles at River's Heart. Once I was in a battle with about 5 alliance vs 5 horde or so.

Good times... Also did a lot of dailies here myself and got exalted with Oracles.

It is seriously the best place in WotLK

  • That sounds make me cry :S. But its very nice song. I love it so much.

  • I sometimes just sit there and listen to that music <3

  • i was searching for exactly this music.

The most beautifull soundtrack in wow.

I feel so relaxed when i go quest to sholazar.

for that zone, you must be lvl 74/75

  • remember this music while farming 5000g saronite and titanium ores..

  • This is so relaxing ^^

  • the music in this zone has always reminded me of music from snes rpgs. <3

  • I personally thought shola bazin didn't fit in the rest of Northrend areas, but maybe more into the next expansion.

  • @sakemaki It does if you read the lore. It was made by the Titans for a place to experiment with life.

  • @sakemaki it dont fit because the lich king cant capture the place while the rest of notrhrend is full with ice and stuff

  • I love the music here, and in Grizzly hills!! I prefer Grizzly Hills a bit more though. :P

  • I love the music to this place. Best music to come out of this game I think.

  • u gotta salute blizzard for the this soundtrack, brilliant.

  • remember me a lil bit of final fantasy^^

  • go to the most butiful place u can ever inagine and make ur self at peace with the world while this song is playing and u have became relaxed

  • This song is verry nice...hope the places like sholazar won't "die" when they'll release cataclysm...So we can have a nice place to remember all the time...

  • You hear that? Thats the beautiful sound of Blizzard trying to earn my [$14.95 monthly] back.

  • Blizzard had soo much work doing this, and they made a beautifull even though addicting job

  • isnt this at the twin colosals in feralas?

  • very well

  • Fantastic music!!!

  • HÅH

    Most beautiful place on WoW<3<3

  • HÅH

  • @gjermundgb i have to agree

  • @gjermundgb on youtube, look at GM Island

  • Actually they won't work together. In Cataclysm their putting the War back in World of warcraft. Horde and alliance battles eat up with Garrosh and Varian as new leaders and ever since Wrathgate they've been pissed.

  • Beautiful.

  • Why is there a picture of Feralas when Sholazar Basin music is played?

  • Because the picture itself doesn't matter, the music does. I just picked a tranquil picture to go with the music, in case you sit and stare at the screen throughout the whole song.

  • Well I did xD

  • @Sundredude Beautiful song im just sad Wrath is gone and Cata is out lol

  • @KarxTheHunter You can't leave Sholazar Basin! You (probably) don't have the green proto-drake mount!

  • the sounds... takes me back...

to the long hunts for my Loque'nahak... <3

  • so. we have been everywhere before cataclysm. so we are heroes?

  • ah this makes me emotional....and tauren too...tauren do not wish for the cataclysm to come but there will be new life also....

  • This music is awesome.

  • Guys you have to realize that World of Warcraft, yes I know it is just a game but is a hugely expansive MMO....being such, the world inevitably will evolve. A lot of things have changed since Vanilla WoW. The world is not as pure as it once was, it has been permanently scarred and in a sense, has lost it's innocence. Since Vanilla, the people of Azeroth, have seen my evil disturbing things. They have however overcome it, and will continue to overcome it.

  • As for the people who say "But the people who will join WoW after Cataclysm will never see what the original world will look like." Well' you are right. These people have entered the world in a time of turmoil and chaos. But this will be the norm for them, since they have never played before, they will know no better; this is the Azeroth they know. I think it will be pretty damn amazing to say to these new players that "I was around when the world wasn't so war-torn and destroyed"

  • I will be proud to say, "I was around to defeat the Original Scourge, I fought my way through Molten Core, and Black Temple, I have killed Illidan Stormrage, journeyed into Karazhan and emerged victorious, I even contributed to the fall of the Lich King himself." I will now rise up and fight against the new evil that has emerged. After this is done, the people of Azeroth will work together to repair the damage that has been done. Don't condemn the game guys, until you have tried it.

  • @matt71893 So true. I once played WoW for one month, but couldn't get into it so I quit. But now... I restarted a couple weeks ago (now Level 22ish Blood Elf) and I REALLY want to at least get to the beginning of Outland (prefer to get to the beginning of Northrend though..) by the time the catastrophe hits :) Just so I know how things 'used to be'.

It won't be as huge as the Great Sundering (thank god lol), but the Cataclysm will be fun.

  • I think the 'emotional impact' is exactly what they intended, it's more of a way to tell the players strongly that Azeroth is trying to cope with the changes and the players would feel it too.

New things doesn't mean good things, but it means a change in the old ways to deal with new threats.

Plus if you are a Lorist/Loremaster of Azeroth/Wow, such a change should be intruiging rather than disappointing because the Archeology profession is based on what you know.

  • I'am retarded! IWhen I played there, I used to listen TNT by AC/DC. That's pity, because of this.

  • The move blizzard is making with Cata is a very risky one and 99% chances are that they will fail.Basically what they are doing is changing the zones in a NEGATIVE way destroying them, and because those ones have memories in them seeing your sweet STV where you leveld with your best friends for a whole mount and where you met your best friend on wow and where you made your first raid all BURNED and full of LAVA will have a deep emotinal impact on the players.

  • And what about those who love the lore and are excited about what deathwings doing? I dont know about you but if it stayed summer or winter all year round outside my house i would get bored.

  • Not just that. The cataclysm caused in old zones will also apply for people that for example don't have TBC, WOTLK, or Cataclysm itself. This means the line doesn't really connect, right now you can play WoW after playing wc3 and getting the further storyline on your way to level 80, in Cataclysm, for example, you just played WC3, start WoW and find every single area thorn apart. A better idea would be: instance zones. All low levels will be able to see the areas normaly until further accendance

  • lol no

  • Yeah, I remember that Ame, and the beginning part of the song was when I was doing that quest.

  • I love wow, i can do my poledances/school, party friends AND raid. Perfect life!

  • I love it =)

Even when I had tears in my eyes when those Oracle victims said: "Did I wrong...? I sorry." :(

  • This was my favorite soundtrack back when I played World of Warcraft. So pretty..

  • this screen shot is in ferelas. only reason i remember is i took a screen shot of this exact STUNNING place. :D

  • i love the song!

  • I can't understand why some people can hate WoW. I have an solution to that fact.

The answer is, bluntly, WoW is Pwnage.

Nothing more to it. Accept it. WoW is the best game ever!

  • puppetdawn, I've played WoW for a long time, but saying its the best game ever is a longshot.. It gets repetitive, every expansion its the same thing.. =/ I think blizzards new MMO will be better than WoW

  • Yeah, I Noticed that i was going a bit overboard, but it's still a great game with a great Soundtrack. And i agree to the fact that it's the same thing in every Expansion, but every expansion is unique in their own way. Though, I am getting a bit of itched with this Cataclysm expansion. Ruining Vanilla WoW And everything. It will Trample much of the old good memories. =[

  • When I heard they will be remaking azeroth basically, I knew that it would lose a few million subscriptions.... they are adding lava everywhere in maps people love like darkshore, not a smart move.

  • Yeah. Even worse, Iv'e heard rumors about stranglethorn saying that nearly all the trees will turn into Black, rotted oaks, Desolace will turn into a forest, Which nearly ruins the whole Desolace reputation. I mean. there's a reason why they named it "Desolace". By the time i got news of this, i realized that The whole azeroth is going Vice-Versa. All the desert-like zones are turning beautiful while the already exotic are going to Turn dead. I mean, Like you said, It's not a Smart move.

  • Lol blizzard would mess up their great game then. No one wants to see rotted black trees in STV, and lava in darkshore... and what really sucks is new players won't experience the real azeroth

  • Yeah, like the old days when STV was the coolest place in WoW Except for the raids. Cataclysm is going to devastate Azeroth if we, the people of WoW, won't stand up to the system. Darkshore, That great eerie little night elf Area town of auberdine, Is going to be cut in half by some magma fissure. But hopefully, they will make that Deadwind Pass a bit more entertaining to be in. If they make an fissure along that Karazhan, i will go insane. 'Least they didn't do anything to The Outlands.

  • Some great things people like about WoW are the memories, like for me it was darkshore, would hate to see it go, Blizzard sucks for adding lava, atleast make it cooler than lava.

  • Yeah, why not make it overflooded or something... That would make it interesting. Not overflooded as in an Tsunami or something, just up the the knees or something.

    But splitting Auberdine in half? Isn't that going too far? And Desolace... I mean, it isn't really "Desolace" anymore after cataclysm. More like "Solace" then. And STV... One of the bigger questions are;

Will Zul'Gurub be burned down too?

    Will Booty Bay be Crumbled?

    Will many old quests dissapear?

    What about Nessingwary's camp?

  • They are putting lava in every map, making all the ugly zones nice, which I can't say I like. I love desolace the way it is, wouldn't want it to become an STV or anything.

  • Yeah, like what's going to happen to the Capital Cities? They going to be crumbled too? Well i guess ogrimmar will flash up with a bit or nature, But Stormwind will probably rust and all that?

    Like, Wtf?

  • @puppetdawn they cant outlands is a different planets used to be called "draenor"

  • I think Cata is doing a great move... Its not all about being pretty, and some old burnt zones become the new pretty ones

I understand you have memories of the old azeroth and are adverse to change, but contrary to what you guys think, most players welcome change.. We're freakin' bored of the same old Azeroth zones!

  • I rly love this soundtrack... It's rly beatiful, sounds like it has a bit Trevor Rabin in it XP

  • you can really see the quality of the music change from old world...to bc...to wotlk...nice work blizz 5/5

  • Wow, great song, really reminds me of some songs from Final Fantasy games

  • Nice song!

  • They have always had decent music this is just better

  • This and Grizzley Hills are the best :) i love wow its the best game ever

  • reminds me of a sad ending in a movie :P

  • this and Grizzley Hills are my favourite <3

At the start, I didn't really like this one...

But I got edicted to it when my hunt for Loque'Nahak started ^^

The little fluit is really cool :P Always waited for that little part to pop up while making my circles in Sholazar =]

  • ok. tell me it doesnt sound like Jungle Book lol. So epic. i <3 bliz music
