Kara is when you do a normal that moves you forward and cancel it on the first frame or so into a special or throw to extend your range

@BattleMania Kara means you cancel the beginning animation of moves that carry you forward. Like Sagat can Kara towards LK or HK with any of his specials. It basically just adds range on certain moves. Like a kara uppercut by Sagat travels about half-screen.

If you are willing to teach a scrub like me, just a fair warning I am really bad. My blocking is terrible and I can barely do any midscreen combos. In the corner I can do some pretty simple but good spencer and ryu combos. My ironfist is alright but my hawkeye is not bad.

@BattleMania Oh I stopped playing SSF4 once marvel came out (SSF4 is really technical, got the aspect but I just wasn't any good) but Marvel Im fairly and pretty good. Around Mid Tear Id say. Main Team, Ryu, Wesker, Doom. Team B Captain America, Taskmaster, Ryu. Team C Nemesis, Taskmaster, Akuma.

I can teach you a couple of things, Combo wise with Ryu to an extent but not to where I know every combo. Spencer my friend knows much and Iron Fist I can definitely teach you.

@xxCOMBATBEARxx My ryu is pretty good I just need some denjin combos and I can never wavedash full screen after his L,M,H,fd.H, His wallbounce kick. I can only dash up twice to land the rest of the combo. Spencer combos are needed dearly and IronFist is my favorite character but I'm incredibly bad with him.
