Lipstick on a pig is a common idiom of english language. It has been used by countless people for this meaning over many years, and Obama has used it several times over the last 20 months. Long before Palin. McCain has also used it in relation to Senator Clinton's health care plan. It's horrifying that McCain is sinking to the same level that Bush did to defeat him eight years ago. Gross.
