  • I think this is a timeless track, didnt know it was from '91

  • how could you do this?...genius

  • classic!

  • every now and then you come out with a total timeless classic and this is a prime example. Gotta be proud of this one!

  • nothing else matters when this is on...........

  • Speedy J - always ahead of the competition in Holland..

  • God i love this song: Oldskool beauty ^.^

  • I can vividly imagine this being played on a long , late night journey on a rainy motorway. Everything is viewed in soft-focus as the whole car vibrates to this masterpiece. :)

  • @NarcoticBeats spot on. exactly how I see it :)

  • @statenhal haha... i've had many a long blurry rainy late night motorway road trip to this track "_"

  • Very good track concerning the time it has been produced. This has been one of my favs in past... Nice one :-)

  • Amazing piece of art.

  • Love this break, works well in Weather Experience by the Prodigy too....

  • Love this period of Speedy Js work, all the stuff off Ginger & G-Spot was an awesome mix of techno and ambient. This track reminds me of early Orbital too.

  • ahh... the incredible bass e at 2:16.

  • Tresor is also the name of a big club in Germany...a VERY nice place to be ;) I`ve heard a set of Speedy J in Amsterdam...walking between the Vondel-Park and rave.....AWESOME ! (Broke my tooth on a few micro dots...so I`ll never forget ;) ) Greetzzz from Amsterdam..Peace :)

  • I remember this from one of the Artificial Intelligence compilations - it's really good, very mellow.

  • so happy to hear it again & again & again ...

  • We featured it on our current Phunkster radio channel on Air France planes, check it til late april 2011 :)

  • Exactly. Play this on 45 and then perhaps -8. You can do this with Audacity if you only have a digital copy of this track.

  • this one is all almost good:)

  • Tune! needs to be upped at 45 rpm minus -8 just like bukem and cloin dale used to play it at.

  • Ein Hoch auf den Track - DT 64 bei der Dancehall lief er immer mit. Unvergessene Jugend. Danke an Speedy J für diesen Track, is in meinen persönlichen Top10 des Lebens sicher mit dabei !

  • bought it for 1 € last week.

  • it is and remains a epic track.

this is the upper class of electronic music. touching your inner being.

  • aphex twin brother ...

  • This is my fave Speedy J track ever. That bassline is deep as fuck and the drums destroy when they come in. Top it off with those voices and you've got a transcendent masterpiece on vinyl. 5* all the way to the future :P

  • !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Why is that synth so awsome? Why is this song so awsome? And why the fuck I don't have THIS on a vinyl? Holy shit past times were the BEST times. Past the ol' gold...

  • God damn I need a Jupiter 8!

  • This is an amazing piece of Detroit via Holland 45...the bleeps take me back to 1989...I love this!

  • I know. For those not owning the vinyl; from 33 to 45 -8% is a 27% increase.

  • Great tune back in 91 when off the old nut with the ex wonder drug when it actually worked

  • Such a glorious track... we all used to play this at 45rpm with the pitch set to around -6.... It would be good to here that too...becomes a rave classic.

  • This is such a TUNE.

Completely different from Speedy J's usual skull-banging technoo and all the better for it - thanks for posting this it's now one of my fave tunes of all time.

Dunno how this little rascal slipped past me first time around I've been well into hardcore, rave, techno and beyond since forever! :)

  • DER Klassiker

  • I have this sealed up in a nice plastic sleave to protect it for the future generations...

My daughters will inherit my vinyl.

Its the best thing i have to give them..money/fame/fortune..

These things matter not..detroit for life..

    Even though speedy is dutch..lol

    Anthem...oh yes it is..

  • massive !!!

  • @ev3nflow Me too, my kids at their age don't get "daddy's 90's IDM love/Techno love" but this is/was our generation's "be bop" our collections will be like old farts with thier Coltrane collections...

  • @sanjac1974 posted that comment 2 years ago, and nwots changed mucker, its still a incredible choon, and always will be...

love the coltraine comment..my old fella was a northern soul kid in 60's always bleating on about the nile and the reno, the twisted wheel and wigan pier...and now i go on like a drone about the hacienda..full circle..lol

    keep the faith..

  • @sanjac1974 Mutual, I 'lost 'all my old punk vinyl, I'll be damned if I sell my dance vinyl. Daughters looking like a rock chick but my son's got his groove on (8 & 6 years)

  • Good song, but it gives me a sad feeling.

  • Jochem is god!!

  • awsome

  • Fantastic spacy techno-breaker from Paap!! I've got the cd-version of the EP at the picture above, it's a collector's item..

  • Absolute f*cking anthem !!!

  • True classic! love it

  • This should be played at 45. as they did at the raves.

  • Agreed, this is one of those rare occasions when a track actually does sound better at 45 RPM.

  • Heathen.

  • Haha. You say it like being one is a bad thing ;)

  • When it comes to music, it is. : )

  • My favourite Speedy J track excluding Evolution!!!

  • nice song

  • so, in the description for this vid, it says the label is Plus8, but in the record, its Tresor.... which one of these is right?

  • tresor is the name of one of the tracks..label is plus8

  • oh yeah, ok i see that now. i'm used to thinking of Tresor as just a label

  • @charjl but there is a label caller 'tresor'

  • @GWADZILLA at the time i posted that i wasn't sure if this track was actually De-Orbit since i'd heard another tune by Speedy J that had mistakenly been labeled "De-Orbit". naturally when i saw the inconsistency here, it just reinforced my uncertainty.

but you are right. there is indeed a label called Tresor

  • @charjl

    who cares.

  • great

  • Sweet memories...oh i like this 1....a lot! :)

  • A very nice song indeaad!

  • yes yes yes!!!!

    muchas gracias!

  • I was gonna cuss it, and say its not very fuckingspeedy is it, but shit was aight, shit was aight but my shits mo john blaze dan dattttt.....

  • do you think they were ripping, on ghost face killer? or someone from the wu tang clan?

  • i love richie but i'm new to speedy j's music... this is really tight, definitely fits the sound of richie's label...

  • This liedje is zo cool dank you wel Daniel voor this tip!! WTF FTW, omg noobz 1337 you know what I mean sucker?

  • feck i remember this we used to play it loads and call him fast jason

thanks for the blast from the past

  • I know this says 33rpm on the label but you should play it at 45rpm. It's much better speeded up. Most Djs play it at the faster speed - though whichever way you play it, it's pure genius.

  • Speedy J #1! Even theese days..

  • timeless

  • Sweet!

  • This tune is so cool! and on 45 WOW !!

  • Hypnotic & brilliant... wow...

  • this is not great this is godlike!

  • fucking genius

Still rocking in my soul :)

  • strakke track erg dik zoals het is begonnen

  • big tune. ltj bukem used to close his set with this at 45 rpm. class...at either speed...

  • Ive still got all my plus 8 tunes.

    Richie and his groove writings..

And playing from the inside to the edge..

"When this record ends...so will your needle"

This was a quality tune from speedy j.

I met him and richie when he did a gig a the hippodrome in manchester, my pal was dj there. we blagged richie into getting a skinhead cos he looked like the milkybar kid..

    class times..
