  • Thank you for the video, I work as a paramedic and have been trying to learn this procedure!

  • You can clearly see the flinch in his face at aspiration. That tends to be the case in both tibial and humerus IOs that we've administered in the ED.

  • A needle is inserted into the bone which allows a medical person to inject drugs and fluid into the body. They would only do this if they cannot get an IV. It really doesn't hurt that much.

  • What was it that you were injecting into the humerus?
