I am so grateful to you all for sharing your thoughts on the facts of Joel Osteen. I have listened to him and have been inspired by his teachings but one day not long ago, it occurred to me that he does not once,not even once thru out all of his teaching does he mention the "Jesus" nor the Lamb of God. He is not professing our Lord, I pray for his followers and for his soul. He means well but has chosen the compliments of the world. He is weak and wants to be famous, he's succeeding.
There are other people that DO have ONGOING FAITH in Jesus Christ Himself that NONE of the "critics" have, that DO recognize God has gifted Joel Osteen in many ways. They criticize him because they are blinded to their undeveloped spiritual life in Jesus HIMSELF. These "critics" want to be "it." Well, they are NOT "it." They are babies according to Hebrews Ch. 6: 1-3 and are VERY undeveloped in Jesus Christ HIMSELF. It takes the YEARS for REAL DEVELOPMENT. The "critics" are all TALK.
Joel Osteen is one of the most dangerous false teachers there is, because he's so darn likeable, which is why so many are deceived by his false message. Whenever I hear him, I am reminded of 2nd Cor 11:14.

The spammer "Rylucero" is a graffitti artist on YouTube. He is the resident "woe" guy. Don't you love all those "woes?" No love, no mercy, no grace, no words or spirit of Jesus, just all woes. I think some of you need to look at John Piper and David Platt, for they paint a good picture of how dangerous following the Prosperity gospel is. Take a look at Luke 14:25-27 or Matthew 19:16-30. Evangelical Christians across the board have been the master architects of the "Self Help" genre in Christian literature with varying degrees of direct biblical reference. So its nice to see that these pastors have such discernment as to when a book lacks the necessary biblical emphasis to pass the heresy test. Osteen's real heresy is his success and his lack of official qualifications.

I am so grateful to you all for sharing your thoughts on the facts of Joel Osteen. I have listened to him and have been inspired by his teachings but one day not long ago, it occurred to me that he does not once,not even once thru out all of his teaching does he mention the "Jesus" nor the Lamb of God. He is not professing our Lord, I pray for his followers and for his soul. He means well but has chosen the compliments of the world. He is weak and wants to be famous, he's succeeding.

The "christian critics" are angry, jealous and paranoid. Their spirit is all warped and they cover YouTube with that bad spirit. The internet is the only place they can do that so they do it here. All that is TRUE. Joel Osteen believes this ALL. Yet, just because someone MOUTHS these true things does not mean they have true or DEVELOPED spiritual ears in the HEART. You know, its really too bad we have critics that cannot or refuse to hear when God speaks through someone regardless if his theology is all right or not. The critics cannot eat the chicken and spit the bones out so they just throw it all out and get no food at all. Frankly, I would listen to Joel Osteen and hear God in him before I'd ever listen to the critics. Now yes, I'd love to hear more of Jesus Himself in Osteen's message, but the gift he has is what it is. The critics are overly-narrow.

For a teacher to continue teaching dangerous doctrine, not receiving God's correction, could indicate said teacher is not really one of His own. I am saddened to see so many who do not know the truth of the Gospel. I think some of you need to look at John Piper and David Platt, for they paint a good picture of how dangerous following the Prosperity gospel is. Take a look at Luke 14:25-27 or Matthew 19:16-30. There is truth. Not wealth, not everything is good. Jesus always tells us its hard. Luke 9:57-62.

Evangelical Christians across the board have been the master architects of the "Self Help" genre in Christian literature with varying degrees of direct biblical reference. So its nice to see that these pastors have such discernment as to when a book lacks the necessary biblical emphasis to pass the heresy test. Osteen's real heresy is his success and his lack of official qualifications.
