  • The heroic era of pc gaming!

  • Oh, how I miss this version of the game. Wait- I don't have to miss it!

    { runs off to load it onto PC }

  • I am pleased 'mightily' by these advisors.

  • I concur your excellency!

  • Were there ever set up a signature-campaign or something to get this for later Civ-games? It would seem to be the one thing beside the roundbased gameplay that should be REQUIRED for any such effort...though, in fairness, I'd not ask for the same actors...hilarious as that would be. :D

If no such campaign yet exists, someone with the know-how please set it up and send me a link. Ever since I played Civ2, civ-games without such a presentation of the council is no true civgame....

  • Nothing has quite the charm of Civ 2

  • " Its 4 am now, Excellency, and you need to go to the bed "

  • such amazing graphics

  • the science minister is the funniest!

  • RED WITH BLOOOOOOOOOOD

  • Lol, Visigoth.

  • Why earn coin when you can take ... my motto

  • My dads old computer still has this game i play it from time to time, but without the CD i don't get the council or the vids its sad.

Then again they would probably keep saying the same thing, everythings going well :)

then again i do usually play on chieftan just for the fun of reaching space by the 1800's

  • How come we didn't get ancient elvis in civ 4? =(

  • 5:20 "Let us make piss" hehe. Phonetics rule

  • noble leader there are matters other than this blunted spearpoint to attend to. i wish theyd put these guys back in, loved them

  • what the fuck

  • Ahh, Classic Civ II - I loved the High Council. Frankly, nothing's changed in my opinion to this day!

I love the Military Advisor's reaction to the make peace with your foes quote, "Would you make peace with our enemies, Lord, or would you stick their head upon a pike?!" LOL

  • Oh man I remember these guys, so over the top, that is what made them great. Kinda wish they were in Civ IV. :P

  • I remember this with a huge smile, but now I'm playing Civ IV.

5:23 is just hillarious ;) "Would you make paece with our enemies, lord, or would you stick their head upon a pike?" ROFL!!!

My wish for Civ 5: Bring this council back. Same actors, please ;)

  • now why couldn't they have this in Civ IV

  • @jmm1233 Things were better in the old days..

  • @jmm1233 Religious Advisors.

Our lawsuits will blot out the sun.

  • If I really was the ruler, I'd have the tax advisor made into my court jester and the chick advisor fill out my harem.

  • thanks so much

  • 1:44 Technolo-jizz

  • Correct on both. The meeky guy seems to be Scott from GLMF, but please someone correct if possible. Thanks.

  • This is such a terrific game. I just finished a 12 hour session. Damn the Sioux!!!

  • I beleive you are missing one, it is an attitude comment..."Things are bad...we need entertainers and luxories...(Etc.). But very good example!

  • I can still play this game with as much enjoyment as 12 years ago. Benchmark in gaming

  • "Wise mercy, there're only fools in an empire without luxuries, king."

  • It's actually "Wise men say, that only fools..", a reference to Elvis's song "Can't Help Falling in Love"

  • It's "Wise men say, that only fools run an empire without luxuries, king." It's a play off the lyrics of an Elvis song.

  • The tax guy reminds me of Joe Kucan.

  • what is the name of the bald guy? i have seen him in other things as well but could not recall his name.

  • Credits tell me, Brad Howard.

  • @yootoobnewbie bald howard

  • Brad Howard, also known as Capt. Fletcher T. Moone from the Pyrates Royale. Also, the merchant is Spencer Humm, aka Slash Montant from Hack and Slash. Both are Renaissance Festival stars.

  • lol ace

  • lol i loved this feature

  • Needs moar medieval and modern counsils.

  • This brings back fond memories! Do you happen to have the Industrial and Modern versions of the High Council?

  • Yes I'll get them up asap.
