I wish guys would get out of the music room and put a band together and MAKE some music. Drumming is an artform making music, not a sport or competition. You can practice in a room for the rest of your life, but gigging with other musicians in public is the real test. I've played professionally for over 40 years, sorry guys you are not trying hard enough.

Actually, in the last 4 years I've been gigging with 2 big bands, 2 blues bands, a dixieland band, a jazz trio and a folk trio. But even with these, the gigs are hard to come by. It's a tough market around here, but I've been at it for 26 years. I also teach drum and bugle corps on the weekends.

You're right. The overtones on the crash kept peaking or "soaring" and it came out a little blurred. But it was nothing I had planned out, I was just riffing and found myself doing what you see there. When I looked at the playback it still struck me as coming across semi-decent regardless of the overtones, so I had it posted anyway, what the heck. Thanks for the compliment!
