  • deep and philosophically interview ,, and WHAT A GREAT TRANSLATOR!!! i loved it

  • finally something to be proud about...

  • One of the best films of 2011. So great. So thought-provoking. And, hey... WHAT A GREAT TRANSLATOR!!!

    =)

  • I am so proud of being Iranian too. This is called Natural Pride that originates from the natural dimensions of our identity, and everybody has it and owns it in some different way. Being proud of your Natinality is something that has always existed with humans, and wherever you are born at, has a special meaning and importance to you. Tharefore, everyone can be proud of their birthplace and their place of origin. This is nice and natural.

  • Aghaye farhadi, faghat bedoonin ke mardome Iran dar marhaleye aval be dashtane hamvatani basharaf manande shoma va dar marhaleye dovoom be onvane yek honarmande vaghei eftekhar mikonim. Dorood bar shoma

  • great interview! I was immensely touched by your movie Mr Farhadi.

  • @23:10 bad translation. he said "capital" causes "censorship" in the US. she said "financing" causes "difficulties". or maybe she believes that censorship doesn't exist in the US. for me that "capital" has many meanings that can even relate to the governers of the US.

  • LOL... 6:40... Adam Sandler movies...

  • A superb translator..WOW..she is just spot on !!!!!

  • I am so proud of being Iranian

  • @57bluesky57 You are "proud" of being Iranian? ... why? did you work towards becoming Iranian? .... ?! How is that an accomplishment?

  • @Byron10301 being proud of something doesn't mean u have to had worked for it. it's the opposite of being ashamed of something. like gay people and their pride parades. it's not about some "accomplishment". it's about being proud of who you are.

  • @farbud exactly, gay pride parades are ridiculous ... im not proud that im straight, it's just what I am ... i dont see why anyone would be proud of being gay or Persian or black ... being proud HAS to do with things that you achieve, otherwise it's meaningless.

  • cheghad adame nice i hasti.cheghad ali harf mizani.kheili lezat bordam.love u

  • Marvellous work on Farhadi's part, however I believe the translator wasn't professional.

  • yes I agree, the translator, while overall did good, at times she could not get the right message across which might have gave the interviewer the wrong impression about Farhadi.

but I could not more proud of his work. excellent.

  • I think translator screwed the text and sub-text part!!

  • به به چه مصاحبه خوبی

  • Cheghad Ghashang Harf Zad :Xx

  • Great interview! He is not only a gift for Iranian people but the whole world. His film do not just show us great film-making and true meaning of freedom of speech. It also shows us, how love is the essence of human beings, but that they have a hard time unfolding it(being kind) because of the political system they live in. It shows us that we shouldn't blame crime and social problems on a particular class, nation nor other characteristics of a group of human beings. We have to change the system

  • From 26:30: I think, the real danger lies not open losing creativity because of freedom. I don't think this will be lost in freedom in its idealistic form. I think the danger emerges, when a population are let to believe they reached the ideal freedom, and therefore think there is no need for creative and system-critical movies. The problem in the West is, that we have a silent way of suppression. Our citizens tend to take a distance, when someone points out fundamental holes in the system.
