sa80 is very nice if you by a good one, the bullpup gives v good pivot around corners and, since all the weight is behind your hands, it means you get steadier shots than m4s ect.

some people are such idiots. an airsoft bb is much lighter than a typical paintball. thus even if the bb is travelling faster, because of the weight, the paintball would deliver way more energy on the target. the usual highest power for aegs, 400fps with a 0.2g bb is around 1.5 joules, but 300 fps with a typical paintball would deliver approximately a whopping 11.8 Joules!!! That's crazy...

i had to make a custom mask for our games, 64 to be precise. We used to play in south central los angeles in the whole block. it was fun because tons of teens played until a little 7 year old left the game and tried to rob a liquor store. They took a picture of him an threatend im, he got scared and has been outside scince, we stop playing cause we were threatened too.

the star L85 is a very very good gun, im not sure about the G&G l85a2 but the G&G L85a1 isnt very good and the mask is an SG5 mask and costs around £10-15

practically doesn't hurt unless your clothes fit really tightly, or if you get hit on bare skin - in that case, pain is messured by meters / feet pr. second ;)

I know you asked this 5 months ago but I wanted to help out too. Paintball is always said to be a much more "manlier" sport than airsoft because it hurts more. BUT what would you like more? Having gay looking guns and not really fun enviroments to play in or this? Airsoft is amazing and I promise that after playing three skirmishes you will be in love with it.

I've heard that paintball tends to hurt more. But I know for a fact that airsoft has a much, much higher capacity to cause real damage (chipped teeth, BBs embedded in the skin, etc.)

A paintball would do worse, if it hit u in the eye, chances are u would be blind, if u're a lucky one. if not, it will penetrate and possibly hurt ur brain lolo

And an airsoft BB wouldn't? BBs are smaller, but they travel faster and they're smaller so it's more likely to rip through your eye tissue.

I prefer the Russian AN-94 abakan, M4, HK G36, HK G3 assault rifles, or the M249 and MG3 machine guns.

SA80s (especialy the L85A1) r in my opinion not the best piece of kit to have. The actual things experienced alot of problems during production and development, plus the SA80s are no much for the russian AKM.

wow you talk a load of shite after the hk servic the sa80 is the one of the most accurate assault rifles in the world today because of its bullpup design and long barel it can be fired accuratly t ranges of up to 400m

I have a STAR L85A2 with SUSAT sight and the blow-back conversion kit. It is definitely worth the money, because it is equal in price with the G&G version without the pelican case, and you get a M130 (I believe) out of the box with around 21-25 ROFPS.

Waring though: After 10,000 shots, the hop-up bucking goes bad. You have to do a FULL disassembly of the rifle to change it, but during that time I also re-greased the rifle, so I am now at a consistent 23 ROFPS.

Yes, G&P is good, I use many different brands of gun but if I replace internal parts I use G&P, Systema or Tokyo Marui

If you can afford the Star version then get it, the lower cost ACM version is very good but the Star is better, but do use high quality BBs in it.

Probably the one by Army Armament. It's about £115 before p&p. It has a few flaws (the same flaws as the G&G L85 as its a clone of that one) but these can be fixed with a few simple modifications. I bought it and it's really good! Well worth the money and so much cheaper than the Star or G&G L85. Check it out on YouTube! (The actual name of it is 'Army Armament R85')
