You might hit an extra time, landing a hit which will not freeze your oponent ( You can land 4 spells if you're experienced ). However, when you do hit a 4th or even a 5th time, your enemy may approach you, being able to hit you. In the worst case you may expect a 55+ hit from Dharok at near-dead, but the other brothers only hit up to 24 or so. It's just to safe you some lobsters/monkfish/sharks. Good luck if you're planning to do a trip.
desert treasure is easy if you have 60 mage and 43 prayer, since i did desert treasure at lvl 78 with mage only (had 64 mage then) and 43 prayer, and you only really need 50 range to wear decent dragonhide armor for the pyramid.

i think my method is much more effective. what if karil is tunnel? your gonna die. i take: 2-4 p pots (4), d hide top and chaps, d scimmy and dds, rune top and legs, mage bow, addy arrows(or rune if i got spares) and runes, aswell as sharks. i go: dharock use remaining prayer on karil use any spare prayer on ahrim then i side ste p guthan, torag, verac. max of 1 dose used per trip and 0 chance of death.
Did you see me die, by any chance? I barrow like this a lot and I've never died. Also, you can teleport to your house, using teleport tablets, to recharge prayer at your altar. And it is easy to kill Karil in the tunnels, with just black d'hide, a ddp(++) and an abbysal whip ^^
