I have had it with Snap On trucks with their only replacing gear sets on ratchets & not giving you a new one I broke a long handle flex head 3 months ago & the guy said he'd only replace the gears in the ratchet...Dam thing cost me $250.00 at least give me a new one for that price dammit,I am finished with overpriced & overhyped tool trucks big time ripoff...I now use the new Kobalt ratchets & I love it,havn't broke one yet so what if it's made in taiwan I think it is very good quality for price
Fine print on all the big four tool companies state that broken or worn out tools are NOT a warranty concern. They only warranty them for you under the defect clause, IF you are a good buying customer....
@revontheredline2 Indeed, It also reads that the warranty offered is only to the original purchaser. So if you do not have a slip for the tool you want replaced they can also refuse warranty.
i am a semi professional mechanic( i have turned wrench and have since gotten out of the business, except my friends, neighbors, their friends, and their friend friends and I've got snap on, matco, cornwell and craftsmen, buy stuff that will last, and most importantly that is warranty and can replace them for free! cus if you are getting into the wonderful world of automobiles your gonna break something eventually
@jhampton1989 You have to watch it with Snap On,there are dealers refusing to replace broken tools because the tools are not purchased from them.Plus Snap On does not cover anything worn out.My father had a dealer that pulled this and still does.Told my father this too after handing him a worn out socket
I had a dealer about 3 years ago that went under. Now have a Matco dealer that comes in every Friday.Cheap tools do come in handy, make specialty tools out of them since there is no warranty on them
