Very nice pics. Malamutes are the one and only. My Tala is my 3rd mal. She raised my four kids. She's still with us, but getting very slow. She is still our baby though. Your puppy pics made be smile and tear up

They are Great dogs. We had one for 8 1/2 years and he was Amazing. Everyone loved that dog. He was strong, playful, affectionate and a great hiking companion. He got diabetes at 8 years and we had to put him down and that was the saddest day of my life. Definitely a womans best friend.

Great video, but um there were some husky pictures. How to identify a husky between a malamute is that huskies have blue eyes and malamutes have brown. But I still loved the video. They are just so cute!

it can be alot like taking care of a baby if your quite young and you might not be ready for it they aren't like babies they act like they can do anything but dogs need your help and for you to take time with them to feed them clean up after them take them out and make sure they are healthy

Dancinsin, it can be a huge responsibility if you're not willing to put in the effort to train in all areas. I have had dogs before--one being Husky/Malamute and one who had partial husky. If they don't get LOTS of exercise every day they can act out. Used to have my husky pull me around town on bicicle. We'd be out for hours, and she wouldn't even break a sweat. I would start small...fish, hamster, bird cat. If you prove to your parents you can be consistant, then graduage to puppy.

*graduate...Also consider that they do live a long time...will you be able to take dog when you get older? It can be very difficult to find places to live if you have pets. As much as we love our pets and want them to be part of the family, they are not always allowed to go with the family. Think about the future and long term. It is a daily committment, just like a baby.

Finally got the dog I always wanted three years ago, as we created more spare time, a Mal! She's a beauty, my wife and I love her to bits. They take a little more work than many other dogs as they are clever as well as stubborn, but the rewards are phenomenal! I'm biased and think Mals are cuter than Huskies, but all dogs are the best to their owners as I'm sure the owner is to the dog. Agree, love the music and want to know the title/author please?

I was not much of a dog person until I "befriended" an Alaskan Malamute. Early childhood experiences left me scarred and afraid of dogs. Alaskan Malamutes are very beautiful creatures. The particular dog I am referring to (my friend) has a big strong frame with a very gentle spirit and playful personality. He is wonderful with all people, especially children, and he will let you take a big juicy bone out of his mouth and will not growl. I believe they are the BEST breed of dog!
