But sony denie's it, well i can ashure you there is a chip in every playstation thad can be dissabled and allowed....

To bad sony only allowed it on the 20GB and 16GB (old 80GB)

you should go for 40 gb and upgrade the hard drive yourself, it goes all the way to 500 gb, since the 80 gb is going to cost about 400 bucks the 40 gb is on ebay for 300 and the 500 gb hard drive comes for 100 bucks so thats the same price, hope i helped

this guy barely knows what he's talkin about. buy a 65nm 80Gb model, buy a large 2.5" SSD, and ur set. if u gotta 40Gb model like me, they already patented a design for PS2 emulation via software, so, hopefully soon EVERY PS3 model will be able to play PS2 games. and even so, PS2 games look bad and more edgy on a PS3

well if u have the money its always better to go with a brand new one. the 40gb refurbished is good but get the refurbished 80gb if there isn't a big difference. its always better to go with as much memory as u can cuz sometimes u dont even notice that u've already used that much.
