  • The shocks shouldn't be leaking when trying to open the cap and always clean it before adding the new oil. Ur welcome.

  • @Cames05 The shocks will leak a small amount of oil when removing the cap. It's perfectly normal.

  • there is alot of mistakes but hey, we all have to start somewhere.

  • @wr10wr36wr60 well this is me starting. hundreds of videos since this. but I have always replaced shock oil this way. Especially with big bore shocks, I find this easiest way.

  • what shock oil would you recommend for my buggy off road very bumpy track what is the best volume

    plz help

  • @leef0324uk 30W usually does a good job. but it depends on that individual track. perhaps ask some people at the track what they are using :)

  • @ImNewToThis100 Well then it was probably bashed inappropriately. In other words- everything breaks when it reaches its limit, you must of exceeded that limit.

  • @ImNewToThis100 Nops its one of them well made cars from Nitrotek :)

  • Big mistake I found in the beginning of this video. Never replace the shock oil without cleaning the whole shock first. Getting dirt into the shock body and piston is very bad for it.

  • @xKr4zex Ok mate thanks for the tip.

  • you dont even know how to do that

  • @rclover99 In bigger shocks I do. But these small 1/16 RC Vehicles everything is so small and fiddly and different

  • That fist thing you are screwing down is the shock preload adjustment. Basically a way to adjust how much spring force is already applied to the shock this will also change the ride height. No need to screw that down. Just take the cap off and empty and refill the oil. Also all the grease is not needed on your car you are going to just attract dirt and wear out your parts almost like a sand paper effect. If you can please upload a new video with the proper segments so people understand better

  • @MaxedHardware Yes I know. the reason I screw it down is to keep the spring and washers out the way when I remove the cap. I find it easier that way than removing everything :)

  • About time there is a video that shows me how to do this! I have wasted so much money on shock oil because I didnt put it in right. Now since I tried your method the oil dosent leek out! thanks! I suscribed to you.

  • Cheers man :) Kindly bear in mind however that this only applies to certain shocks :)
