these cars look so nice but lacked power, 94/95 produced 225hp with the 5 litre. but the 96-98 4.6 made less 215 hp to be exact. 99-04 made 265hp with the power improved heads, improved port nd chamber designs, more aggressive cam profile, improved intake manifolds nd some tuning. so that bein said the 99-04's can easily go above the 300 hp margin with jus a few boltons. that's why i bought an 03 gt nd i did my exhaust, headers, air intake, h pipe, 373 gears, throttle body. man wat a difference

@Lally0011 i dont mean to correct ya, but the 94-95 5.0 had 215 hp, then the first introduction of the 4.6 pushed 265 hp, and 99 up was at 315 with the exception of the 03-04 terminator which is debated between 385-425 with 425 being more realistic and the new 5.0 although advertised at 412 hp is actually more like 435

@virginiabronc 99-04 stangs are statistically rated at 265 hp, i'd be more than happy if their rated at the 315 hp bone stock. i have a 03gt, but i believe it pushes more than 300 hp. sometimes it has happened in the past where automakers have rated their vehicles with less horsepower than they acually make on purpose to meet stringent envriomental regulations. i know for a fact though the 5.0 modular is slower than 4.6 dual overhead cam cuz i've owned em both. the 4.6 and it sounds better too.

@Lally0011 Nah, they push right at what ford says. if youre talking about the modular 4.6 2v that is. I think your assumption of the 300+ hp is being mixed in with torque. The 4.6 is a respectively torquey engine. But really when you think about it, it FEELs like it is making way more power at low rpms than at high rpms. and thats the torque talking.

@burninrock24 yea, cum to think bout the torque point that u made does make sense. the 4.6's are quite torquey. but i felt a substaintial improvement in more freed up horsepower nd torque with the bolt on's that i added. wen i pull out my h pipe after two years nd put the cats back in for aircare those make my car feel slugish if ya know wat i mean! it does not run the same as it does with the h pipe, so things like that affect lost horsepower nd low end torque too.

95s didn't come with vert tails...he put those in there from a 96-98 mustang like I did my 95 GT...all 94-95s had horizonal tails from the factory...

FYI to you, if you want to have a clutch that lasts more then a summer for you, you DONT have to rev it between 2000-3000 to keep it from stalling it on camera..i promise you wont..let it out slow and you dont even need to gas it..try it..might save that purty little ride u got bro

Is it a '95? Cause it has the '96-'98 tailights. Just curious it sounds greatd, but not like a 5.0 ('95 last year for the 5.0) it sounds like a OHC 4.6 to me. I could be wrong though. Audio through laptop speakers don't really do it justice.

Actually it sounds just like my '94 GT. I can't speak for him, but it SOUNDS like my setup: JBA Shorty Headers, X pipe, and Flowmaster 40 series 2 chamber mufflers. Sounds awesome, Jonathon!

i have a 95gt and believe it or not, some late model 95 came factory with the verticals, i agree the horizontal are ugly!

yeah i was surprised as well. my production date was august and they are factory. i also know a couple of people that work at Ford dealers and they agreed, with lots of models if they actually run out of a particular item they will go right to the next years model
