Really nice legacy sorry to hear about what happened to it. I have a 2005 GT, what kind of cheap exhaust mods can i do for it? I would love to have this sound
just add a catback to your LGT to bring out the boxer rumble. To get a deeper rumble go with a catless downpipe. If you go with a turboback "downpipe and catback" or if you just add a downpipe make sure you get your car tuned!
ya isnt the flat 6 that would be comparable to the b spec be the 3.0R... seen those with a twin turbo kit as well, let me tell you subaru should do it as a stock option for a better sti...
Nice! You have great taste in cars. I plan on having that in my garage one day.... 05-07 LGT and an SW20. I've always found the hogzaust to be a joke though.
theres acturally more turbulance if you add washers. if your gonna do this, might as well take off the whole muffler do do muffler delete. i did it on my lgt back to back couple times running protuned stg1, and the car is definitely running a lot richer which does result in more lag. no difference than stock from mid to high end thou.
Boxer engine does sound sweet. Love the B spec, sharp car. Is there any difference between an Impreza STi engine block and the B spec's? Or just different turbo/intercooler?
This guy doesn't know WTF he is talking about. While they do make a NA 3.0L 6 cylinder Legacy GT, the Spec B is still a turboed 2.5L. The block is exactly the same as the STi. The turbo is different and the intercooler is different. The intercooler in the Legacy is actually more efficient than the one in the STi.
Although for your sake I wish your comment could've been more composed and less age revealing... I do agree that this exhaust took away from the "niceness" of the vehicle. The exhaust was put back to stock within four days...
Spec Bs are nice! A friend of mine bought a spec B last year, and it's time for me to trade in my red 2000 GT for a new one. Anyway, have you considered going with the Cobb Tuning -AccessPORT chip?
Yeah, I've been waiting for the AP2.0 to come out for my car, Access Port is only available for 2006 and older cars right now... I installed an electronic dump last week, and should be getting a Cobb 3" downpipe within the next couple of months. The AccessPort is the best bang for the buck, I can't wait for it to come out.
I don't back my 06 Forester into the garage. The fumes are so strong I think I about killed my dog one day.

I have an '05 and I gutted all cats, put 3 washers on each side of the muffler bolts, greddy up-pipe, and have a stage 2 tune.
Sounds extremely menacing. Backfiring is common. Fast as hell. Cost me less than $800 for all the mods.

Just FYI for everybody that commented on this video...
The car was totalled at the end of January 2008 by someone running a red light.
RIP Spec B.

spec b is NA with a flat-6 instead of the turbo 4 and has a 6 speed gear box. It makes more power but less tourqe.

not to mention, the spec b is SOHC, and the STI is DOHC, if I'm not mistaken
