  • I need one for my g35 sedan 03 I but I can't find the right part for it I look already online but says only 05-06 metra dash kit how about my g35 sedan 03... Do you think if I buy this metra dash kit, will fit my car and what kind of player fits on it.... Thank you from Seattle Washington

  • @spencer82rocks The actual part you're looking for varies with the interior color. If you go to g35driver(dotcom) and look in the A/V forum, there's a sticky post at the top with my name in it, with all the part numbers and assistance you could ever need.

  • preciate the vid dude, this helped out alot

  • LOL this is the least complicated DIY i've seen for this, first one i saw involved disconnecting the passenger air bag...

  • Question? I removed it just like u did and I been searching online for the double din kit!! And the only one I been finding has the one with the climate control buttons!!! Do they make the one that has the navi/climate buttons? Or do I gotta just cut the the navi buttons part out and try and fabricate it all together so please help,,if u have a spot where I can get the dash with the navi and the climate controls let me know Ty

  • @littleshooterone the nav buttons are separate, just remove the screws in the back. Important thing is to get the trim kit from grubbs infiniti that it's made to fit a navigation equipped vehicle. They are the only place I've found that carries the right part. If you need more help check out g35driverdotcom. I have a very thorough thread under the same name there in the audio video forums.

  • awesome thanks man! trying to install aftermarket radio and everyone is saying mine is gonna be hard cause of my bose system. agree or no?

  • @uclalaker2009 Only difference with Bose is that you will probably need the PAC ROEM-NIS2 in place of the normal wiring harness. Some (including myself) have had ok results with the Metra 70-7551 (or equivalent) but a much greater percentage have had to use the ROEM-NIS2 to have the Bose amplifier work properly.

  • @Wrathernaut great thanks for the help man!

  • Thanks for this, I did it, but now I got a big problem. I put everything back, except that when I try putting the shifter with the trim back in place it fits, but the shifter wont turn up, it goes as far as the N, it seems like the shifter indicator is stuck and I dont know how to release it. I tried using the shift lock, but it didnt help.So now im driving with no trim on top of the shift stick. (My is AT) Please help!

  • @carliux99 There is a block that moves the shifter position indicator with a hole for the shaft of the shifter on the trim. Make sure that the shaft goes through the middle of it.

  • Thanks a million for posting this. i just got a 2007 infiniti g35 coupe and ill be changing ot over to a doubledin radio soon i hope. But im glad i found this cuz for some reason its missing the cig lighter plug thingy and i want to do that first

  • @XtremeZAO Good luck with it, come to g35driver (.com) if you need more assistance.

  • @Wrathernaut Thanks. I fixed my cig lighter today, luckily it wasnt missing. I also joined g35driver(.com), do you have a like to a thread for this?

  • @XtremeZAO I've got a very thorough thread in the Audio/Visual forum. Look for my name up at the top, there's a very informative post sticky'd up at the top.

  • DAMNNN Grubbs doesn't ship to Canada is there another place?

  • thanksman i'll look see if i find it on ebay really wanna get rid of the stock stereo

  • question to anyone? where can i get the exact double din kit with the dual ac controls the aftermarket ones arent the same as this one in the video..

  • @MrJamaalshakur This is the JDM kit, they show up on eBay every now and again, but Grubbs Infiniti is the source that has most reliably had them in stock and doesn't charge a ton. Tell 'em thanks for supporting g35drivers.

  • Oh and if you're looking for exact part numbers, so you can see how badly the Infinti dealer down the street may charge you:

Nissan Part number for Aluminum Trim 68260-7W000

Nissan Part number for Single-Zone AC Controller 27500-AC500

Nissan Part number for Dual-Zone AC Controller 27500-AC505

  • How do you clip in that little piece above the clock? Mine is loose and I cant figure out how to make it clip in.

  • Outstanding video. Used it tonight to install an aftermarket antenna iPod adapter in a 2006 g35. Nice part is it goes back together in about 5 minutes. Thanks for posting this.

  • Glad it helped out, consider posting up your results over on g35driver (dotcom).
