Is it just me or did I hear "Om Mani Padme Hum" in there more than a little? =D Chenrezig for the cosmic win! Seriously though, this was a really nice layering of sounds that draws you into it.
Hi sorry for the late reply, yes that's what you heard... Thupten Dadak (2nd from the right) is from Tibet and used to be a Tibetan monk, and he's also a pal of the Dalai Lama :) An honor to play with him.
i've tried it. you can't project the correct amount of air to overtone much on a side blow, which is how i prefer, but a strict throat sing is pretty good. i also tried to alternate the throat sing and the ''horn'' sound on the didge and it turned out pretty well.
Fantastic music, I could listen to this all the time. I can't find any of their music, this is overwhelming and oh my god it's just so hard to describe
Hey Big Dan, see the comment above and contact "Throatsinger" for info about CD's. I played didge and "igil" and he sang, and he has recordings of that concert.
Awesome music, when i hear didges like that i feel so primitive like i should be around a fire dancing

What would a throat singer sound like through a digireedoo?
Rhenoism 4 years ago
Doesn't work too well due to air pressure required for throat singing is different to that of the didge
