The concept of Lolita-fashion has nothing to do with pedophilia. Its only called Lolita because Lolita is an elegant female name. By what I can understand in the story, this was a young girl who's father either died or went away and ideally she's trapped in a cage of lonliness without him and having all sorts of wonderful memories.
