No, you don't. As long as you have a level 70 character, you can create a Death Knight.

AND if your on a PvE realm, u can make an opoosing fraction, which is really cool.

this wont be the best of all expantions i dont think because it will come down to the situation where you have 1 healer and 24 death knights cause even though you are limited to 1 death knight per account i think you would end up playing it more and they sound rather overpowered by the fact you have to have a high lvl charector to unlock it

race not class - if u have a 70 (no i believe it is 55) toon - you will be able to make a DK on any realm. any race: Undead, Tauren, Blood/Night Elve, Gnome, dwarf,human,troll, orc and the blue hooved race thingy dudes that no one likes

Perhaps the Death Knight will be the first effective long-range tanking class, able to fixate several caster mobs on them while using some form of resistance-based damage mitigation, like block or parry except for spells. We've yet to discover the Death Knight's shortcomings in PvE gameplay.

He forgot to tell you that Death Coil is the DK's answer to Holy Shock (Only, he spends runic power a la execute instead of mana to damage/heal). Also, DKs start in the Eastern Plaguelands, conviniently beside Scholomance and three kill-quests, so the warrior dungeon gear seems really appealing.

reaching lvl 70 takes you 1 month.. the xp rate is increased so radically, and I guess when the new expansion come, 60-70 xp rate will also be increased. So if you can't reach to lvl 70, then you shouldn't play it at all.. but I also appreciated the game before I got to lvl 60 in pre tbc.. just lvling and doing instances was a lot of fun

If you are wondering when is Wrath of the Lich King release date, all I can tell you now is that WotLK has entered Alpha stage and is now ready for alpha testing. Only a few selected people are allowed to play the alpha version but they must sign the agreements to make sure nothing gets leaked. that is all I know for now. The estimated date is Nov, but things can always change as time pass. Nov is an estimation only so don't take the date seriously.
