  • C02 is like BS. A little is good for the crops.. But you don't want to drown them in it.

  • @bcweatherman that makes no sense... it's like saying you can drown in oxygen.

  • Even your tea party douchebag 'scientist' just confirmed it... keep your head firmly planted, though.

  • I like how this shows a bunch of derka der red neck white trash giving their uneducated bull crap opinion. And also it shows a bunch of polluting plants and thats supposed to make me think global warming is a scam? the problem with these people is that they think the world was created for them to do whatever the hell they want to it. if anyone can explain how polluting and trashing the planet is good please enlighten me. Global warming is fact.

  • if you have the guy from 1:41 speak on your documentary, you've lost all credibility in my view

  • haha NONE OF YOU READ THE SCIENCE haha

"Christian Science", like "Fiscal Conservative", is an oxymoron

  • @FantasticBob7000 Build a straw man, knock him down. Yay! You just made in your pants!

  • Comment removed

  • environmentalism as we know it is another globalist player to shape and mold the world with the same globalist interests as big Finance and big oil, where do they speak out about these biggest polluters the n.w.o network exploiting the world..

where do the GREEN people mention about government corruption when it pertains to THIS agenda and things like Monsanto..who is the largest producers of GMO foods.. WE are the real whistle blowers with the real issues.. THEY work for the NWO

    network.

  • Just fuck yourself.

This trailer is just a piece of propaganda shit.

  • The NWO cronies figured the sheeple would catch on to their ways if they taxed the air you breathe, so instead they taxed the air you exhale.

  • Oh, how propaganda connects with the people. "Ice is the enemy of life". Whoever likes this has some things to learn about science. And the fact that we NEED to change to SURVIVE. Much less keep old timey jobs as opposed to new jobs that push us FORWARD as a human species.

  • Al Gore lives like the Amish? I doubt it. Probably has a 5000 sq foot home.

  • It seems to me that there might be some fair points made against deep ecologists (a tiny minority of all environmentalists) in this film, but not against humanist ecologists, who believe that we need to preserve the planet for present and future generations. I wonder if the directors ever think about calling into question the inequalities of power and resources which are the real drivers of poverty, job losses, starvation etc etc.?

  • Correct me if I'm wrong (honestly). But isn't global warming more than just the warming of the earth? Isn't it also about how shockingly polluted our oceans are? How bad the air is (especially in cities)? How how much garbage is wasted every day and how that impacts the animals/people/environment? Even space has a shitload of debris flying about! Also using dangerous chemicals for plants/animals that we ingest (creating more sickness in the world)? To me that's all important. Give me some input!

  • @Bootboy Pretty much. Global Warming heavily relates to pollution and the CO2 released from it. GW is mainly about the warming of the Earth which is happening on a yearly clock. You can see proof of it in the saatellite images of the ice caps melting. Most people will say this is "natural", but it has never melted in the way it has now. Polar Bear populations have been shrinking due to loss of habitat, yet lies spread that they're "tripling". GW is all important as are many environmental issues.

  • @BootboyJohnny Obviously there is a shitload of debris in space. You didn't know that there were other planets and rocks out there?

  • @WhiteGangster400 No kidding. I'm talking about planet earth though. We've got too much debris (commonly known as 'space junk') spinning round OUR planet and there's NO WAY to get rid of it. It's constantly swinging round. Now tell me, this isn't a problem? Does THIS look natural to you? cnews[DOT]canoe[DOT]ca/CNEWS/Science/2011/09/02/18634311[DOT]html

Didn't know, did you? You do now.

  • @BootboyJohnny well it's not natural because all that debris comes from space, not earth. Also, our atmosphere prevents anything from getting through to us. You should know that. By the way the link you gave me: 404

  • @WhiteGangster400 Wrong. Space junk is man-made. Sorry the link didn't work, but Googling 'space junk' will find you a plethora of websites and information regarding the dangers of this debris. It can smash satellites and endanger astronauts (among other things).

  • @BootboyJohnny Can you prove that? Also, has any astronaut died or have been injured because of this 'man made' debris. A news article using an animated or computer generated image of earth covered in debris doesn't count.

  • @WhiteGangster400 It's common sense, really. But if you have over 22, 000 pieces of metal flying at a blinding speed of ten kilometres a SECOND, it's fair to assume that venturing in space has become increasingly dangerous. There's actually quite a handful close-calls with 'space junk' reported by NASA. Also, these (bigger) pieces can re-enter our atmosphere. One article stated that one piece re-entered in 2007, and almost hit a Chilean aircraft (!). As time goes on, it gets worse.

  • @BootboyJohnny And you still act like this our fault and our responsibility to go into space and clean it all up like a bunch of maids. According to the article, it looks like this stuff happens all the time. The path that these satellites fall down to earth in can be predicted, in which air traffic controllers warn aircraft of it. This case was just human error in predicting the coordinates that the satellite would land at.

  • @WhiteGangster400 Yes, because it's silly to clean up after ourselves, right? LOL. One day we'll never be able to travel into space. But that doesn't matter, right? And those 22, 000 pieces of metal are NOT all satellites and cannot all be 'predicted' (hence why astronauts had some very CLOSE, UNEXPECTED collisions). Even a simple little bolt flying in space at ten kilometres an hour can have deadly consequences. I can't believe I'm even arguing about this. It's no conspiracy. Are you trolling?

  • @BootboyJohnny You act as if you know everything and that whenever somebody tries to have a debate about it you come up with silliness to say "ARE YOU TROLLING?". HURR DURR

  • @WhiteGangster400 As if I know everything? Um... This is a FACT. As I've said, there's a plethora of information on this topic on the internet. It's incredibly easy to find. Type 'space junk' (as I've previously mentioned before). Did you know a 6 ton UARS satellite fell into Canada this year? Mark Matney of NASA's Orbital Debris said that it's impossible to track where these things land. I think NASA know what they're talking about. Agree to disagree then. End of the argument. Good day.

  • @WhiteGangster400 Here's a video for you to take into consideration. Tell me that this is all just a 'conspiracy'. youtube(DOT)com/watch?v=43ac9gmR3fA

  • @BootboyJohnny This is the same bullshit you see in every other video. The size of satellites on the computer models is way over exaggerated. When you see the footage of the astronaut, the air space looks nothing like that in the models and there is soooo much space out there, it's hard to even find anything out there. Also, i guess you would like to volunteer and go to communist china, knock on their door, and tell them to clean up the vacuum of space.

  • @WhiteGangster400 You call it "bullshit"? Um, okay... I guess NASA is lying to us and it's all a conspiracy. NASA obviously don't know what they're talking about, right? I think they should listen to you instead. Well, that's the end of the argument then. Agree to disagree. Everyone can read what I've written. And again, there's a plethora of information out there, a ton of articles by NASA about 'space junk'. Good day.

  • @BootboyJohnny yeah it's shit holes like you who want the government to regulate everything and to tell everyone what to do.

  • @WhiteGangster400 You're such a hypocrite. So because I've won the argument you call me a "shit hole"? Who said I wanted the Government to regulate everything? You uneducated prick! You're pathetic. You're not even worth my time. I knew you were trolling right from the beginning. Wigger, I just blocked your bitch ass.

  • @BootboyJohnny I'm so scared

  • @BootboyJohnny

Actually no, Global Warming has nothing to do with any of that. The name says it all.

  • WE ALL HAVE A RIGHT TO BE HERE! So Do other Animals,Cuz were just animals, but were not giving other animals the choice to live, We cause much extinction, Our Brains shouldn't have been rewarded such knowledge, Because we wouldn't have to cause a mass exctinction, Just BEcause we have intelligents doesn't mean we have to use it to harm others, Think of other animals and plants like yourself... What ever happened to Animism and Shintoism? Its all erased due to stupid economic changes and industry

  • Not Evil Just Wrong: The best propaganda money can buy. Question: How many climatologists are part of this group? None? Are all the scientists a bunch of lying radicals? A strange and ignorant world you fools have woven!

  • Yeah buddy people who go to the GREAT SCHOOL OF MINDS like Yale , Harvard , Princeton , UC Berkley , Columbia , Oxford and you know the rest of them. I put my trust into those people who love inbreeding so they can keep the family blood going strong so they can keeeeep ruling the world... When they talk I listen just like 1984.. I LOVE BIG BROTHER!!

  • Global warming is great. The world will become more humid causing plant life to grow better, making the world lusher so that famines will be less common and starvation will be reduced, and less people will die from the cold and farms will be more productive, improving life all around. No wonder environmentalists hate global warming, considering they hate people.

  • What is the ideal temp for earth? two degrees cooler, or maybe a few degrees warmer? Who's to say? Why is it that climate change can only cause calamity and never anything beneficial like longer growing season and more plantlife due to increased CO2? The earth has warmed and cooled throughout history. It's been hotter before. Why do we think we're responsible this time and why do some think we can or ought to stop our current warming period?

We don't question the data, only the conclusions

  • gore is a lying bastard, so is your congressman. 100% evil. They are selling us out when we pay for everything. Time to kick their asses so bad they never recover.

  • just go google - club of rome (your masters) global warming. You'll see they dreamed this scam up decades ago to be sprung right when it was, Another rothschilds robbery. I'm sick of our pres and congress. Look up protocols of zion. You will crap your pants. Don't be stupid. If you can't see the media is 100% running a pentagon psyop on you........you deserve whats coming.

  • "they want...", "they want...", ...

Who or what is this imaginary "they"?

Explain why "they" are supported by every major and relevant scientific institution and university in the world.

And what is this morbid and rather unhealthy fascination for Al Gore? He is not a scientist.

And what is this morbid and unhealthy claim that the world is going to end? Many people will be affected by the consequences of AGW but it is not the end of the world.

Fact is, AGW is a fact. Deal with it!

  • LMAO this movie is a FUCKING JOKE

  • It is easy do say that science is propaganda. It is also pretty stupid. THE major scientific organisations however have made à clearing statement: man made climate change is happening and dangerous.

  • @remcovanek2 that's bullshit, and you obviously are clearly ignoring the fact that there has been NO significant warming globally since 1998...end of discussion!!!

  • C l i m à t e c r o c k 's . C o m

  • there are much more sustainable ways humanity can live, depopulation is a solution but its the worst possible solution in my opinion. Industry needs to change dramatically. and our thinking needs to change dramatically and we need to clamp down on corporate crime and perhaps even change the way people prioritize wealth over human life which might require changing our social systems and economical systems radically perhaps. humanity is not killing this planet...industry and corrupt governments r!

  • Do the research. Its been proven.

Global warming WILL NOT result in an apocalypse, but it will make life more expensive and inconvenient.

Funny how this documentary DOES NOT **DIRECTLY** QUESTION THE SCIENCE BEHIND IT.

  • @someghosts better for some, worse for others. some = us. btw shit has been proven just exaggerated prognoses using 50 to 100year estimates, which, if you have any idea how an analysis carries out such estimates is just a ridiculous thing to do.

  • Well Dummy were is the science, Show us the science, We have treasure science and we have junk science! What science are you going to show us? The FACT is that the SUN that little star you see in the heaven that gives us life is what controles and makes our weather not the plains, trains or automobile... Not man nor woman.. not the stalinist demon-crates nor the neo-con re-pukes. I like that we live in the information age and yet there are people like YOU!!!! that say YOUR WRONG and STUUUUUPID..

  • This film is not evil, it's just trash.

  • Global warming scare tactics has enriched Gore beyond epic proportions. His net worh has risen 500%.in a decade. Gore is not only an idiot but a rich idiot as well who warms the globe with his jetsetting ways. Snakeoil pays no where near this. What great gig it must be. LMFAO!

  • The World is now cooling naturally. This cult of Humanity changes climate must be brought to a halt now.

  • @david222444 "The World is now cooling naturally" Where did you hear that?

  • @Richard482 Are you just blindly accepting this propaganda? Try AMSU-A temperatures for starters. Laymans sunspot count is interresting. Dr Maue coaps. Then try a search for global cooling. Daily Arctic sea ice maps provides information on the snowpack.

  • @david222444 Exactly which parts do you think are propaganda?

  • @Richard482 look I have been watching this crap for years, dont waste my time. propaganda.

  • @david222444 Duh, any moron with half a brain knows that there are cooling trends and warming trends that create a spiked graph that goes up and down. It happens over decades, so looking at a denialist graph cherry picked for the last decade or so will show cooling. This cult of denialism must be brought to a halt.

  • @demdanglibruls There is no cult of denialism when there is nothing to deny. The neo fascist co2- warming freaks need to be stopped. Atmopheric co2 enrichment benefits all life on our cooling World. It is blindingly obvious that the Sun caused the past warming and now as the Sun becomes less active, the Planet is cooling abruptly. It is foolish to suggest that a minor trace gas in the Atmosphere (co2) is the primary driver of the climate.

  • @david222444 I'm not sure what global warming has to do with fascism, but your lack of scientific knowledge astounds me. The greenhouse effect is well known to scientists and more co2 would be bad, not good. I'd like to see your reports from scientific journals that show co2 benefits all life and that the world is cooling. Yes it has been cooling in the last decade, but it is a cycle. Changes in the sun have not been shown to provide a significant change to the Earth's climate.

  • @david222444 There has been no change in energy output of the sun since we have started measuring it, and co2 can be helpful, in small amounts. Water is helpful too, and we need to drink 3.5 liters daily to be healthy. Doesn't that also mean that we should drink 350 liters to be 100 times as healthy?

  • @david222444 Which part do you deny, the warming, that we are causing it, or the greenhouse effect? It is foolish to use the same refuted denialist talking points over and over again and expect it to be true.

  • @demdanglibruls I told you that there is nothing to deny! The Sun caused the past warming as it is the primary driver of out climate. Only the niave would accept the hairbrained greenhouse theory implicating humans in changing the climate of the Planet. Be prepared for abrupt and deep cooling making future winters severe. Governments now need to ignore the illusionary hype of a warming Planet and trust their instincts. There will be nothing to offset the cooling .

  • @demdanglibruls I told you that there is nothing to deny! The Sun caused the past warming as it is the primary driver of out climate. • @david222444 Just because an internet crank tells me there is nothing to deny doesn't mean he is right. The primary driver of our climate... yes, but no changes in energy output have been seen in all of our recorded observations of the sun. I'd like to know where your beliefs in cooling are coming from.

  • Trolling! Look it up guys!! For those who REALLY think they're comment will make "THE DIFFERENCE" on here... Look up Trolling...

  • Gotta say--all that coal, oil and power company money that is being spent to brainwash the right-wing robots is doing wonders. You can all site their press releases chapter and verse. I bet Jesus would like their PR firm.

  • @VoxPopNews Ask him, You work for them. :-)

  • @DrDave953 I have no idea why you think "lefties" like me voted for Obama, or even LIKE Obama. He is exactly what I expected--another politician bought and paid for by corporate money. Not that anyone on the right is any different, or better.

That said, if you think climate science is some vast conspiracy of scientists trying to get grant money you're as nutty as you are stupid. Follow the real money--the billions in profits that are currently being made by externalizing costs to taxpayers.

  • @VoxPopNews Great how you decide to

    a) not answer me,

    b) mischaracterise me by trying to make me out as some right wing nut-job.

You are certainly right with follow the money & it's the companies that are backing the scam, like Shell, BP, Standard oil,GE, several companies in nukes, biofuels etc.

    Dave.

  • @VoxPopNews If you don't think there's a problem with telling people our very survival is threatened by 1/2 a degree of warming in the past century, and that science supports that conclusion, then I suggest that "nutty" and "stupied" just may be attributable to yourself.

  • "I can not believe that Al Gore has great regard for people, real people." Hear that.

  • CO2 levels FOLLOW long term temperature changes. It does not lead them.

  • @boxwoodgreen A video to answer that argument

    watch?v=8nrvrkVBt24&feature=channel_video_title

  • For the last two million years the planet has been in the grip of repeating Ice Ages.. The last ten thousand years has been one of a series of short 25 K year average warm periods in between long 250K year Ice Ages. The enemy of life on this planet has been the COLD.

  • @boxwoodgreen Your logic makes no sense -

Your quoting times of millions of years - on processes that have been naturally occurring with out human influence.

This does not indicate that COLD is the enemy. The planets natural systems need BALANCE of hot and cold regions for rain to fall, for winds to blow, for oceans to produce life! Fool

The CONCERN/DEBATE is that human activity is altering that balance? Correct/ False?

  • 15,000 years ago all of mid north America and Europe were covered in ice sheets 1-3km thick. !25,000 years ago before the latest ice age, at the height of the last interglacial warm period, the sea temperatures were 3 dgrees C warmer than today, and the seas were nine meters higher. All without any human technology, industry. Our ancestors were wearing animal skins. Climate change has NOTHING to do with human activity. It is a natural normal long term occurance.

  • @boxwoodgreen "Climate change. It is a natural normal long term occurance." Saying the climate changes naturally doesn't explain why.

    watch?v=w5hs4KVeiAU&feature=channel_video_title

  • Glabal warming may not be real, but I think it is, just look at the snow layers in the N. Pole to verify. Evidence points toward planetary warming. We all need to act as if global warming is real.

  • um wow....people are still denying that global warming is real?

    unbelievable

  • @coralin378 Yup. People still deny the earth is controlled by secret alien lizards too. Go figure.

  • @DrDave953 Wow--Your facts would be amazing, if substantiated, or true. However, you have no specific evidence or dollar amounts. A lie oft repeated is still a lie. There is a TON of information on my side of the argument, however. There is this great service called Google where (if you are capable) you can read all about it.

  • @VoxPopNews You know that if he finds too much prove against his delusions he'll conclude google is part of the conspiracy..

This is the channel where the ignorant flock and do boooh.

  • @ratje67 like we give a fuck what u think eco boy; go back to worshiping nature with your anti-progress nudist hippies.

  • @Sugardaddy501 I know you don't give a fuck, that's what makes you an ignorant hater.

  • @VoxPopNews However, You chose not to reply to me, just post an @DrDave953. ExxonMobil put about $23m to Heartland I think. Look at Green-agenda. As for companies like BP, Royal Dutch Shell supporting the UEACRU, The so called 'Climategate' emails support that and many more interested parties too.

Dave. You're not actually interested in the funding though are you?

  • @philWynk Nope, I only believe people who don't have a multi-billion dollar reasons to lie, and who can back up their argument with the scientific method--which means I ignore the propaganda bought and paid for by energy companies, their astroturf groups, and morons like you. Just because I ignore it, doesn't mean douchbags don't keep trying to get me to listen to them, though.

    Case in point, you.

  • @VoxPopNews I see, so you believe BP, Royal Dutch Shell, several Nuclear concerns who want cap & trade. BP sponsored Obummer! You really should check where oil company money is actually going. Places like Greenpiss, Fiends of the Earth, UEACRU!

    Dave.

  • @philWynk Your 'facts'--brought to you by BP and Chevron

  • @philWynk You might want to hit websters.com so you can learn what 'fringe' means. More than 90% of global scientists is not fringe.

  • @philWynk I don't spend a minute of my time seeking out the oil company position on climate science--or promoting it. That's for them, Faux News, their PR flacks, and unpaid tinfoil hat types like you to do.

  • @VoxPopNews In other words, you only read people who already agree with you. That's why you're so woefully ignorant.

  • Are you aware that an overwhelming majority of scientists around the globe agree that your positions are preposterous and that the small minority of deniers are entirely in the employ of people who stand to pay the most if legitimate climate science is translated into public policy? How long to you have to gargle to get the taste of corporate penis out of your mouth?

  • @VoxPopNews Here's what virtually all scientists agree on: (1) doubling atmospheric CO2 will raise global temp around 1 degree C. (2) We've increased CO2 by about 35% and raised global temp around .7 degrees over the last century. (3) That amount of greenhouse warming is NOT enough to cause any major catastrophe.

Yep, you read the last one right. The predicted catastrophes all come from predicting secondary effects that have NEVER BEEN OBSERVED.

That's the consensus. Get a clue, dupe.

  • @VoxPopNews Your accusations against "deniers" are outright lies, by the bye. Most of them work for universities. Didn't your mom ever teach you that false accusation is wrong?

And most scientists, upon hearing my position, would admit that I'm well-informed. The fringe science here is from the quacks who pretend that rising CO2 will trigger rising H2O greenhouse warming, when observation suggests it will trigger cloud cover and compensatory cooling.

  • Not that facts matter to you all, but climategate was actually didn't happen. "...we did not find any evidence that NOAA inappropriately manipulated data comprising the [Global Historical Climatology Network] dataset or failed to adhere to appropriate peer review procedures,” said the report, which was authored by Commerce Department Inspector General Todd Zinser at the request of Sen. James Inhofe (R-Okla.)."

  • @VoxPopNews (A) Inhofe's study was about NOAA; "ClimateGate was about East Anglia University in Great Britain. They're two completely different things, and you've just proved that you have not the slightest idea what you're talking about. (B) Did you know about Keith Briffa cherry-picking his data for the Yamal tree ring study? That story broke before "Climategate." Do you even know what I'm talking about? No, I thought not.

  • @philWynk If you think Progressives have or want power, you are stupid as you are paranoid. Big oil must love having unpaid patsies like you in their camp.

  • @VoxPopNews (C) Whether deliberate or not, how do you feel about the fact that 75% of ground temp sources were deleted from the GHCN database around 1990? Are you aware of "the Bolivia Effect," and how that produces false warming readings? (D) How do you feel about the IPCC's Executive Summary, which supposedly contained nothing but peer-reviewed science, containing more than a dozen references from promo brochures written by the World Wildlife Federation?

  • @VoxPopNews There's a lot more -- there really have been dozens of scandals in the last year or two regarding climate science, and ALL of the scandals report climate alarmists committing dishonest acts. But I'll let you respond to those few.

It's not always about the money, although for some folks it is. Progressives want POWER, and pretending that industry was destroying the planet gives them IMMENSE power. But some people just lie in order to win arguments, like you're doing now. Go figure.

  • Wow. Just Wow. I try to believe my fellow man is not dumb, and then I see something like this. Scientists are using the global climate change 'scam' to get rich?! Have you ever seen what a scientist gets paid?! You have the logical capabilities of a 3 year old if you believe that... well, I'm probably libeling 3 year-olds with a statement like that, but still. Scientists getting rich on promoting global climate change vs oil, coal and power companies getting rich doubting it... hmmm

  • @VoxPopNews Actually, it's government employees and scammers like Al Gore getting rich, and Progressive politicians gaining power; that's COMPLETELY believable. However, 6-figure salaries for scientists are also not unheard-of anymore, thanks to a veritable river of money running through government research facilities -- just so long as they toe the Climate Change line. If they dissent, they get fired publicly. No incentive to bend the research there, no sirreeeee...

  • 6 figures... lol. Yeah, that's a lot of money.

  • @philWynk Tell you what--you take the scientist money, and I'll take the salary of any oil, gas, coal, or power company. I'll even buy you a snorkle with the extra 200 miliion I have so you can visit Disneyworld, once it's underwater.

  • @VoxPopNews Meanwhile, you can spin any excuse you like, but there have been about a dozen scandals involving scientists bending their research regarding climate change in the last year, and ALL from the same camp -- the climate alarmists. The very head of the IPCC lied about Himalayan glacier melts and used the lie to raise 1.5 million Euros for his advocacy organization. But no, there's no reason to think anyone would lie about climate change...

  • Al Gore contested the 2000 Pres election.

Al Gore jumped on a bandwagon.

Al Gore jumped on a masseuse.

Al Gore jumped on Laurie David.

  • No you're right. There is no way of behaving in any other way than we do now. What a stupid person I am. Still - when people stop using clothes dryers in Texas, and do something weird like air dry their clothes, I guess we can start to discuss this reasonably. Why not mandate a 2 litre maximum for personal transport? energy dense and efficient - but that would be an affront to.....freedom? And not everyone driving a 6L SUV or or 5.7L Tundra is in construction.....Use less, it don't hurt.

  • @ThePixelmill Why not mandate? because it's a "mandate." You want to FORCE people to do what you think they ought to do, using political power (which, by definition, makes you the boss, and the people thus forced, the servants). And why? Because you cannot convince them to make those changes of their own volition by reasoning with them. So instead of improving your argument, you use force. You're a tyrant.

And why can't you convince them? Because your argument is, in a word, dung.

  • I like the guys in the V8 pickup with the trucker cap being used as an authority....

Oil, Industry, Coal power - yeah we need it all - people have a right to be here....

If you point out that there is NO long term plan [like for 5-6 generations] for global resource management, you get back to either being

a] a partner in a global "conspiracy" that threatens "liberty"

    or

b] you're told not to worry because God's plan is for the end of days anyway - so everything is OK.

  • @ThePixelmill Then give us your plan genius. Tell me what sources of energy you would use for transportation, industry, ect. ? If you were King, what policies would you put in place. And don't just say something stupid like alternative energy. That's a cop out. Give me specifics! What types of alternatives? We get over 50% of our electrical power from Coal. What would YOU recommend to replace it? And what about high energy transportation fuels? What solutions do you recommend?

  • @juscurious I think that the reliance on oil for personal transportation has no future. People are crazy for F350s and they wail about the cost of gas. Transport could go a little lighter - like in Europe noone feels they need a V8 for "transport". Hard to get that out of the US psyche though - and I'm Australian - we're mostly the same.

In Australia we get WAY more than 50% of our energy from coal - Solar thermal in particular offers great potential. Stop using the dryer

  • @ThePixelmill If we don't use oil for personal transportation what do you recommend, going back to the horse? What other fuels have the energy density of gasoline or diesel? Please answer this. I don't know what things are like down under, but VERY few people drive F350s for basic transportation in US. People have F350s because they are in construction, farming, or the like. Give me some concrete examples of what you would do in the area of energy.

  • @ThePixelmill Alternatives like solar and wind are not in widespread use because as energy sources, they SUCK. They are diffuse, which means to gather them you need large quantities of the most limited resource of all: land. A 2,700 megawatt nuclear reactor complex in South Texas takes up 19 sq miles; to obtain the same amount of electricity from wind would take the entire state of Rhode Island -- and from corn ethanol, you'd need to farm an area the size of West Virginia. They're BAD IDEAS.

  • @philWynk I agree with you 100% but you did make a mistake? You meant to say 19 acres and NOT 19 sq miles don't you? If you meant 19 sq miles that's an area 4.35 miles by 4.35 miles. That quite a plot ot land and is far larger than the Nuclear Power Plants I'm familiar with. On the other hand 19 acres is on the cramped side for a Nuclear Power plant. The NPP I've seen are about 1-1.5 sq mil total site. The Reactors themselves are much smaller or course. Still everything else you say is right.

  • @juscurious No, the article said 19 square miles. It's not one nuclear reactor, but two. This is apparently a very large complex. In south Texas, land is probably inexpensive, and not scarce.

  • @ThePixelmill WHY stop using the dryer? Is there a shortage of electricity? No. A shortage of coal? No. Is it truly harming anybody? No. So what stop using it? Oh -- because some lying rascals are corrupting science to frighten credulous people into making them rich. Sounds like a great reason to me...

Tell me, are you always so easily swayed? If so, I have some swamp... er, prime agricultural land I would like to sell you...

  • Let's all go 3rd world, the politicians first. As Harrison Ford famously put it, "I'll walk when they walk".

  • We are the warmest decade in 8000 years, 98% of climate scientists think man-made global warming is happening.

It's not a hard choice, are 98% of scientists wrong and Rush Limbaugh and these daring documentary film makers right?

  • @AndroidPolitician Rubbish. You don't have a clue as to what you are talking about. There is no way to ascertain specific decades in the course of 8000 years. Where did you hear this nonsense? The figure of 98% is a total lie repeated over and over again as per Goebbels. Only a tiny number of scientists have a background in those areas important to understanding the climate. A biologists would have no background in this area. Besides Science doesn't proceed on consensus. You know nothing.

  • @juscurious

    is(.)gd/mdAkjT (98% of scientists)

    is(.)gd/5QwI0f (hottest in 8000 years)

Make sure to remove the parenthesis.

  • 1.8 degrees F in the last 100 years does not worry me and should not worry anyone. 100 years ago the tech was not there and today the tech is falsified for political reasons.

al gore got rich because of this bs.

  • Seriously?

While 98% of scientists know global warming is happening, this movie features the same 5 people that are on Fox News all the time.

  • Yes, Al Gore is such a believer in his own hype that he just spend millions on beachfront property on the california coast, won't go vegan, (which would more greatly reduce CO2 than driving any hybrid) and leaves his car running for an hour while at a environmental conference.

  • regardless of if the left is exaggerating the problem or not...there are things that are obvious and have been for years...(some things are bad for the environment)...we should do our best to find ways to go about maintaining and advancing our way of life while reducing our environmental impact ...regardless of your political affiliation

  • they need to put up a better factory for that dumb redneak to work in like making tesla coils or solar panels.or magnetic power generators.

  • Mind numbing, on the deck of the Titanic people who were up to there knees in water insisted that nothing was going wrong.

  • this video is ridiculous, this is sponsored by some oil billionare...ok maybe not by billionare lol

  • @2505994 Inconvenient truth was sponsored by millionaires seeking more riches from green fraud.

  • Funny how the warmers automatically accuse anyone who disagrees with them of being ignorant or uneducated or just dumb. Their arrogance is only overshadowed by their blind following of their idols irregardless of how much money those idols make off them. You can only fool some of the people some of the time but you fool the gullible all of the time. Al Gore and his type are con men and the sooner people see that the sooner they can start finding the truth instead of letting themselves be used

  • you can go all fuck yourself our planet is changing in a bad way because of us and if we don't change soon there's no turning back, al gore is a great man

  • I apologize if I seem to be patronizing, but STOP BELIEVING THE BULL provided by people who expect you to not know the difference! The people who made this film, are counting on you being "dumb". I am proudly knowledgeable, and you should be too...

  • - Global Warming Deniers: I can understand your point of view, providing that you never attended any basic science classes in elementary school, or understand ANYTHING about "averages" in high school math class, or basic college statistics. In other words; "Global Warming" has nothing to do with today's temperature, nor the winter's weather now. It has to do with historic temperature averages across the seasons, the decades, around the world and the resulting shifts of weather extremes.

  • @leek02 How about this, then? There is more carbon dioxide being released into the atmosphere by one dormant volcano in Hawaii than all of the factories in the continental United States. Findings have now concluded that mankind is not the cause of global warming. Here's the shocker: the earth does that by itself naturally. It doesn't matter what we do. The earth will reclaim itself.

  • @leek02 I disagree leek. I am an atmospheric scientist at a major University here in the U.S., and to say that people who don't accept the dogma simply don't understand basic statistics is simple minded and wrong. While many (on both sides of the debate) fail to understand the most basic concepts of climate change, those of us working in the field certainly do. The issue of whether any climate change is happening is not the debate I see. The debate is how much of that is our fault?

  • @leek02 The Earth, and more over the Sun are the major driving factors in Climate Change. If you care to do the research for yourself, you will see that. It is simply species-centric to assume that we have the kind of power that the Al Gore's of the world believe we have. Climates have been changing constantly since day one on Earth. Climates change is occuring on other planets in the solar system too. It's called science....look it up....

  • Just like if you had a fish tank that you kept adding fish to. eventually the entire tank will be full of warm fish crap and carbon dioxide. Eventually ALL of the fish will die. That's the world we are living in!

  • Yes, humans are part of the environment... so what? We are still part of the problem! Think about it like this: There are more people in the world than there has ever been in history, That means the environment changes now more rapidly than it has in history, AND is less supportive of life.

  • Why are otherwise "intelligent" people creating videos like this one to combat simple logic, AND 1000s of scientific studies? Why aren't supposed smart people rejecting these type of videos produced by rich people who don't care? Are we Americans truly this stupid?

  • more global warming deniers propaganda, dirty jobs are gonna be lost? yes! a good thing, times they are a changing, those jobs are terrible and indians have to start using contraception, now! that's their real problem, not unemployment, just too many people, having too many kids!

  • I wonder how big Al Gore's "carbon footprint" is.....?

Cars, jets, heated pool & mansion.....

  • Bullshit - Not just wrong - EVIL!

Google: US physics professor: 'Global warming is the greatest and most successful pseudoscientific fraud I have seen in my long life'

    By James Delingpole

  • holy shit is that macaulay culkin at 2:14?!

  • I have never met a particularly intelligent, nor rational climate denier. Most suffer from narcisistic martyrdom and/or social repression. The pure hatred and anger shrouded in faux concern that drives so many of these campaigns always boils down to semantics and selected sciences.

  • @Sifinland yeah like those nutty ppl who believed the swine flu was a hoax, but than it killed 90 trillion ppl around the world.

  • The truth is we can't pollute the air or water. It is bad for the environment. But people like Al Gore bag on middle class people for not putting solar panels on their roof, or for not driving a hybrid. Funny that he owns many planes and has a giant house.

  • Unfortunately stupid people see only what everyone else is doing and does not give a @*#& about how they should modify their lives to make their children live in a better world. Some aspects of global warming is fake but there are things we cannot ignore, pollution other than C02 is causing great damages to our forests and oceans. if we do not help slow this process down, or stop it. we are truly screwing over our childrens future

  • Great... concede that the purpose of Western, industrial civilization is to make life possible for most of the people in the non-industrial parts of the world. That will work.

Where do you think environmentalism came from? It came from the notion that the purpose of a man's life is to serve others. When serving poor people was discredited (eg: socialism and communism), the leftists simply invented environmentalism as the new object of sacrifice.

  • Yeey! Fack the next generation!!! I will be dead anyway when the world is getting fucked up and country's like the netherlands and bangladesh will be flood.

Ah well, people are so stupid

25% of america is retared, just watch south park

  • This movie is made only to show how evil Al Gore is (even if the title is Not Evil, Just Wrong) and to show that the American government and the scientists are in a conspiracy. And this Patrick Moore has changed almost every statement he had since the time with Greenpeace. I think I can smell bribery.

  • If you do your part (recycle, etc.) and are open to new ideas, such as ethanol/electric hybrid vehicles, and solar power plants, then transition is almost effortless. The one's who don't care at all and make the really big mistakes, should be the targets of education and action. There's already a fine for littering for the average person. What are the penalties/fines for misconducted industry?

  • Psycho's and idiots

  • Climate Change THEORY = Propaganda = Money = Carbon Taxes

There is money to be made from this. Al Gore is a smart cunt what ever way you look at it. He's the one rolling in it because many people have falling for this THEORY which has no concrete evidence at all. Fair fucks to the guy, although he is a cunt

  • @peeobee

    "propaganda, money"

Obviously there is much less money going around in the fossil fuel industry.

Not evil just wrong is not an astroturf organization funded by fossil fuel companies.

CO2-concentration is not at the highest level in a million years.

The polar ice cap is not going to disappear during this decade and 2010 will not be the hottest year on record.

(the sun's activity is not at its lowest point since a century, the troposhere is not cooling, the oceans are not acidifying,...)

  • @arneperschel All of your cynicism aside, you are incredibly wrong with one important fact. Solar activity is currently around the highest in 8,000 years. We are approaching a solar maximum. Without a doubt much of the climate change is caused by the Sun, as it is the single greatest driving force in the Earths climate. That's not pseudo science, it's an irrefutable truth. I am not saying anything about Human involvement here either way, just stating a fact...

  • @Enviromantalist

OK. Can you provide a source for that claim?

Does solar activity also explain the sudden warming we've seen over the past few decades?

    Search: "deep solar minimum"

And to confirm the solar influence, please find me a source that shows that days have been warming more than nights and that the stratosphere has been getting warmer.

(In the above I meant stratosphere where I wrote troposhere)

You'll soon find that I'm incredibly right about all the other facts.

  • @arneperschel Look heres the deal. I'm have neither the inclination nor the time to argue with you. Believe what you want. I am an atmospheric scientist, I deal with this on a daily basis. The fact is there is strong evidence of a weakening magnetic field and the fact is the Sun is in a period of solar maximum (plenty of resources to look that up). All those charged particles hitting the upper atmosphere have a well documented effect. The fact is there is much still to learn about our....

  • @Enviromantalist ...atmosphere. There is absolutely no consesus among non biased scientists. I suspect the doom and gloomers are off a bit, but the complete "anti" crowd is as well. I don't know your background and don't care to find out. I am not here to argue on the internet. I welcome rational discourse as much as the next fellow, but to state "I'm incredibly right", when in fact you are speaking anicdotally means to me you are misinformed. The past few decades are a small sample....

  • @Enviromantalist

We should at least, as civilized people with an interest in science, be able to sort out whether current solar activity is relatively low or high, don't you think?

So, my source is NASA and it says we're just coming out of the deepest minimum in recent decades, but maybe I'm misinterpreting it.

My "incredibly right" was just a reference to your "incredibly wrong". I don't see why that makes me any more misinformed than you.

  • @arneperschel I can tell you are passionate about this issue. Something tells me even a little bit militant. I am strictly a humble scientist with his nose I suspect much closer to the ground. Free from spin, yet awash in real data. The solar activity you refer to is simply incorrect. There are plenty of resources out there for you to look at what the sun has been doing. In terms of straight radiation, perhaps, but the amount of charged particles, the solar flares, etc..is quite the...

  • @arneperchel ...opposite of what you speak. Solar activity and the amount of charged particles are in a sustained period of hightened activity. On top of that we are approaching a period of solar maximum. Couple that with the evidence that the Earth's magnetic field may be weakening, and you have perfect conditions for climate change. I don't make bold statements like you may, and I won't claim this as the sole cause. Just know that there is contrary evidence to the concept of only man...

  • this film would be valid if it served to critique exactly what's wrong with aspects of the environmental movement, but its just an attack on al gore. we all know gore's a hypocrite &exaggerated a lot in 'an inconvenient truth.' that doesn't mean that climate change isnt real & isnt a significant danger to those people this film seems to portray as victims of the environmental movement. still, gore is not advocating the dark ages & black plague. this is propaganda equal to an inconvenient truth.

  • @Katie081990 Have you seen this movie? It's barely an attack on al gore, it talks about his "logic" within An Inconvenient Truth. It is a critique on the environmental movement. YouTube their other documentary "Mine Your Own Business." 3/4ths of the people commenting obviously haven't watched it.

  • know climate change is real + a danger, it does nothing to provide a legitimate critique of the movement but rather seems to be just a whiny, unthoughtful view point from people who are too lazy to change how they live and who are too lazy to seriously get into the different politics of the environmental and ecological movement happening today and intelligently, thoughtfully critique them.

  • WHAT! this is ridiculous. this fails to distinguish between different environmentalists and ecologists and just serves to vilify anyone who doesn't want to rape the earth. SO MANY "environmental activists" accept that humans are part of the environment and have accepted such a fact for decades and decades. this seems to be an attack on al gore and deep ecologists/ biocentrists but because it fails to intelligently critique any specific group and rather just attacks those who are sane and
