  • in easier words.

    1.type ur text.

    2. make ur brush w/e size u want ur stroke and set ur brush color to the color u want ur stroke.

3.new layer, pen tool ur wavy line over ur text whereever u want it.

    4. right click - stroke path - stimulate pressure and make sure its on brush.

    5. use the faded circle brush and rub out whereever u need to rub out.

  • what font is that?

  • * Add a Gradient overlay

    * Ctrl + Click text layer while working on streak

    * Get your rectangular marquee tool, set to remove from selection

    * Remove any of the selection you want over the text, Keep the selection over the parts you want to be 'behind' the text

  • My Path Just Stays Fat No Matter What I'v Redownload PS And Everything This It's Not Changing Tho I Have Brush Size 3, Paths Selected, Auto Add/Delete Checked, And The Last Box Of The 4 On My Pin Tool What's Wrong?

  • i cant click on stroke path can you help me?

  • Could you elaborate on how you can't? Is it greyed out or... what?

  • my path lines are just thick all the way through?

  • You need to make sure "Simulate Pressure" is ticked, and also make sure your brush thickness is small compared to your text.

  • ok thanks alot ii have done it thanks for all your help.

  • when i do it, it fills in with a color. what am i doing wrong?

  • You may be making the wrong selection.

You make the path, then go to the paths window.

    Right Click.

    Stroke Path.

    Brush, Simulate Pressure.

  • Hey whenever ii do the anchor points little like black boxes where ii have put them cover my text how can ii get rid of them?

  • I'm not sure I know what you're talking about.

  • O.k. Then ii done it once properly and then tryed again and then it done that :( and ii can fix it :L

  • make sure that your pen tool is set to pathes..

  • thanks.

  • how do you curve the top mine is always pointy

  • it just takes ALOT of practise m8

  • You need to click + drag

  • click and hold it .then move it to how you want

  • how come mine does not get thicker as it reches the middle and reaches a point at each end like yours does mine is just 1 fixed width all the way through why ?

  • Make sure "Simulate Pressure" is ticked.

  • simulate pressure is always ticked i never even had to tick it myself :S is there any other way to get it like that so its not all 1 thickness ?

  • You might be using a brush size too large, try making the size smaller somewhat.

  • yes but i have a a basic brush of size 5 :S is that to large or the wrong brush ?

  • It all depends on the size of text you have.

  • yea but i tried it on little stuff like avatar size and really big stuff like you show on this tut :S

  • I don't know what's going on. Sorry mate, what to try is just keep on going at it until you figure it out. I'm completely stumped.

  • thanks

  • stroke path is never highlighted

  • Make sure you are on a new layer when you try to stroke the path.

  • when i try hitting baxck to delete the bits i get an error message :S

  • you go way to quick for me try text to help to

  • for everyone having troubles with getting the ends to be tapered, go into your brush presets F5 and make sure that the box that says shape dynamics is checked. That is why it isn't working for most people.

  • hi.. my Simulate Pressure dont work, its same pressure on the line :/

  • nice video 5 *****

    this was a good help..:]

  • Thanks :D

  • Thanks alot for this ... helped so much ... struggled little a first but got hang of it now thanks 10/10

  • Hey i have amjor problem, when ever i ant to stoke my path it does it fine, when i press stimulate pressure in order to get the tapered ends, its doesnt work at all, i did it once and it jus doesnt happen again...please major help needed with this.

  • I am not sure... You could be using a brush too large? I can't really say what the problem is unless you can go into more detail.

    Sorry :(

  • Australian?

  • Scottish. In the UK :)

  • i cant find stroke path

  • You have to right click the path. Under the "Paths" tab/window.

  • How Do You Make Your Brush Fade On The Ends Like That?

  • You have to, when you choose the "Stroke Path" Option, there should be a box you have to select. Which will say something like "Simulate Pressure" and make sure the stroke path is set to "brush"

  • at the end, when i hit delete it deletes all of the selected, (the pen path thing) and leaves the non- selected

  • nevermind, i did something ( not sure what) and it worked

  • hi, may i ask u some question..

y when i use the rectangular marquee tool n click on it .. the streak will missing ? what happen ?

  • Can you elaborate?

  • Ure accent is kool :]

  • your voice sound like a child and if you are i must say im very impressed ^^ and really cool video ^^

  • I take it you mean my accent?

  • nice. are u a girl or a boy xD

  • Im a boy...

  • hahaha =D

  • you know, you guys are MEAN! :P:P

  • nice !

  • Can you tell me how i make me brush be smaller at both ends for a glowing effect?

    ( I ticket simulate pressure)

    Pleas help

  • Uhhh, I dont know really, just try playing around with different sizes of brush. You may have too large a brush for it to fade out effectively...

  • my settings doesnt even go like that they just keep adding they dont stop:(

  • Can you explain further?

  • well the pen doesnt go like yours does on the video and it makes two lines instead of one???

  • I don't get this part

    * Ctrl + Click text layer while working on streak

Where do you click? It doesn't work when I click Ctrl and then click the text layer

  • In the layers panel, while working on the "streak" layer, ctrl + click the thumbnail next to the text layer, this should select the text. Dont click the actual layer, just the thumbnail at the left hand side. Hope this helps :)

  • Where you hit the thing to get a blank background, i dont see it how can i get it to pop up

  • Tell me what you mean? Make sure you're foreground colour is black and hit alt-delete. If you're background colour is black hit ctrl-delete

  • Yeah i got it, thanks

  • dude, thanks for the tut!
