  • Regarding slavery. We are all slaves one way of another. Youtube"confession of an ecconomic hitman" and "money masters"

  • these videos have the potential to change millions of people around the world... this documentary needs to be dug out of its hole of ignorance and must be exposed to the nations like ours which is fucking up the world at a ridiculous rate

  • I disagree with most negative comments here. This is inspiring. It shows you how hard working and industrious these Nigerians are. They are so positive despite their lot. This is an eye opener and they will make it by God's grace!! Somebody say 'Amen'.

  • its a sad place, this country is so fkn rich on resources but the people get nothing of the money...............

  • bbc is dead, this documentary is a bad joke.

  • Niger oh! <3

  • Lol.. This na 9ja. Dont mind those Melanin free faggots... All they do is taunt, there city is there where people meet and sex like Dogs *tongue*.

  • @thehustlerscorner

Black americans' problems only reflect a piece of American problems. I have seen many Asian, Mexican, and White Americans that were turned into mindless barbaric, raging, hate-filled creatures. In order to fix it, everyone needs to take responsibilities. Good luck my friend.

  • an algerian send you regards people of lagos and hard luck !!!!!

  • LOL.

  • only a african would be comfortable in a garbage dump and want to live there!

  • @larredgar oh yes! and you living in your condo, mansion, cabin, apartment or whatever, wish you were as happy as the people in this video..

  • you want to show of lagos and you start the video showing people in a garbage dump!!!

  • @thehustlerscorner I think it's good to see niggers move to Africa. I wish you could convince a few more of your homies to relocate to Lagos with you.

  • Nigeria is a country named after niggers and populated by niggers. Everywhere you find a high concentration of niggers you find a shithole whether it's in America or Africa.

We should reverse the Atlantic slave trade and ship every nigger in America to back to Niggeria. Hussein Obongo can lead them there.

  • @ExaltedCyclops2 Man, you really have issues! But talk is cheap! If you really hate non-Caucasians a lot then get over your cowardice and do something about it. Youtube is definitely not the right platform for your --------- rhetoric - I'll let you fill in the blank.

  • @ExaltedCyclops2 If you hate black people so much stop watching videos that do not apply to you. That is a characteristic of a retarded can,t get laid cause you probably 350 pound over 30 year old virgin pussy ass Faggot!!!

  • I fucking Love Lagos i am the Nigerian X~press all the way!

  • @thehustlerscorner :Go back to Lagos then, who's keeping you from going there?

  • God Bless Nigeria

  • The most educated people in America are Nigerians. We're seeing the reason why. When any of these people suffering this way to earn a living, get a chance to move to America, they absolutely make the best of it.

African Americans however do nothing but complain all day about injustice. Get off your lazy butts and become a lawyer, so you can learn how to fight injustice. Just screaming racism everyday won't help you.

  • What is the name of this song?

  • @victorkiller7 The song is called Ayamma and was recorded in the 70s by the Anambra Beats.

  • where they got their water ?

  • i love this,it shows people willing to work and struggle and not steal or commit crimes

  • From the moment this video started I was hooked. I thought this was so interesting and mind blowing! Its crazy how different human beings can live within such close quarters, on such a small planet. I really want to go to Africa (along with the rest of the world)! ANd help spread the message that not all of Africa needs to be "saved" there are great parts that just need naïve eyes's discovery. ya dig?

  • @StyleGamine I'm only just about 22 and with every inspirational occurrence such as so, I try and fine tune my world into something all the more beautiful, positive, safe while spontaneous and ecological to us as humans and for nature-for in the end we are all just animals in cohabitation. Sometimes its hard with so many whacky truthful and other crazy false opinions and "faux facts" out there but I'm finding my way. Thanks for posting this :)

  • Best documentary Ive ever seen, Thanks for the upload :)

  • This is one of the BEST documentaries I have ever seen!!

    Good job BBC!!

  • This guy both amazes and inspires me. I really hope he see his dreams become reality!!!

  • man, I like to eat me a cheeseburger.

  • this is sad you stupid cock suckers

  • Beautiful and well done documentary. I couldn't agree with the title though as Lagos is much more than just its slums.

  • I really enjoyed this documentary! Beautifully made! Thanks for uploading! Been wanting to watch it again for a while! xoxo

  • @wakinuthia so call boss rick Ross wont make a day in Nigeria hustling his fat ass wound lose pounds

  • @VybzAinsley Say it until it sinks in. A mantra .. "There is no race but the human race.. There is no race but the human race." - Feeling slighted by your own skin somehow inferior is making an enemey of yourself. Pick up your shoes and move them you have no need to suffer. Education and opportunity await you when your mind can find a way.

  • Pointed Satire. I think they could of choose any of a dozen cities and the images would be similar. Lagos is just another of those dozen once beautiful places. They opened with population numbers and those numbers keep growing.

There are many beautiful places in Lagos. The point is we as a species need resources and those resources are limited and valuable enough to us for an economy to develop in a dump.

There is NO race but the human race and tell all that will listen about Easter Island..

  • i love this docu and i don't agree with some of the comments here at all, i love that the people in this docu get a chance to show how they live, that they can voice what is inside of them, i have been living in indonesia for the last 15 years and there are so many simularities between indonesia and nigeria, so many incredibly poor people because a shamelessly corrupt elite is robbing them blind in cahoots with western/chinese interests and SO MUCH beautiful music coming out of both countries!

  • Thank you so much for uploading this documentary! It is so informative.

  • This is enough to make a grown man cry.Chineeeekeeee. Chai!!!! How can anyone live like this?

  • IThis is a SHITTY Impression of Lagos take it from someone that has lived there.

  • Africa is full of AIDS.............

  • @ Felorad...there is nothing cheap about this documentary..besides, I think you are missing the main point of the documentary. This is just RAW and REAL life of many people that reside in Lagos. :).

  • This documentary is wrong!! How can BBC release something so cheap?

  • Lagos need rebuilding > All the roads very bad > Trafic completely is very very bad > Go slow all time 24/7 >> electricity very bad >> clean drinking water not avilable>>> telephone network all time busy and bad>>>> there is no infrastructure at all >>> and crimes level is to high> > and many things others . the work you can do it in the developed countres withn one day here in lagos you need 15 day

  • lol Joseph reminds me of my uncle!

  • LAG!

  • This film is an insult to these people trying only to survive in a hellish world created by greed and corruption. To portray naked survival as somehow noble is just so wrong. This is just a big Politically Correct BBC FAIL. Shame on you BBC...your self-hating white guilt blinds you to the reality. Remember that the only continent left in the modern world with true slavery is AFRICA. Only truth will right the wrong.

  • @curtangst the documentary was quite the opposite! It fully acknowleged the hardships of surviving in a tough third world country - especially in a country like Nigeria - whilst at the same time pointed out the positive side - people making the very best of their surroundings. Can you explain what the reality is then?

  • @revol148 i agreeeeeee

  • @curtangst Slavery is everywhere in this world not just Africa. People in Eastern Europe are slaves and there are slaves in Pakistan and America as we speak. You need to be educated.

  • @curtangst uhhh africans started slavery...they enslaved the jews then enslaved each other

  • @curtangst and what does bbc have to have"white guilt" for...they didnt have the slaves in these cotton fields like circa.1800s america

  • @curtangst I think you have misunderstood the intent of it. BBC is showing the beautiful Nigerian culture. It changed my view about Nigeria as I only knew as a scammer haven.

They are amazing people and I would like to go from a "first" world country and live in Lagos and do business. To be around such optimistic and entrepreneurial spirit is heaven to me. They see opportunity and hope in even a dump. That really takes wise strong people to do that, I totally admire them.

  • WoW! This is most misguided doc ever! This idiot filmmaker trying to portray these very poor people as having "chosen' the life of a garbage picker. Intimating that they are part of a "successful" city. You've either got to be stupid or willfully blind to anything but injustice here. Nigeria is one of the most corrupt countries on earth. Their huge oil wealth is stolen from them by their corrupt leaders in cahoots with criminal multinational oil companies.

  • @thehustlerscorner

In a week you'll be begging to return to the US.

  • Pathetic asshole trying to make shit smell like roses:

"And you better watch out, because people here are already adapting to the extreme urban future far more successfully than the so called developed world."

Who are you fooling, fool? Lagos is a giant toilet bowl. Of course, if it's so great, leave London, a "so called developed city" and move there.

    You won't? Thought so.

  • @thehustlerscorner God bless u bro. atleast u r not stealing

  • although i qualify as a "lagosian" living there for most of my life i cant say im as resourceful as these individuals. i lived rather well off and although i had heard my mother constantly remind me of the resourcefulness of these individuals and how i should savor my luck, i never had an up-close and personal with their lives. this is an amazing documentary.

  • @thehustlerscorner i see what youre saying because people in the "devoloped world" take everything for granted and do not know how to recycle i totally agree with you

  • hardworking people

  • Not all of Lagos is like this though...

  • interesting smiles. i should appreciate the level i am in life and try to help a brother out of the slums.....
