I wear it in honor of my uncle who won the Bronze Star with 3 Battle Stars and the Presidential Unit Citation in WWII fighting in the Rainbow Division. They lost 502 men out of 805 during some of the fiercest fighting in the Battle of the Bulge. The rainbow has represented many special groups through out history including God's promise of never flooding the earth because of man's sinfulness.
