  • Fuck all accents, ebonics is da shit dawg

  • Forget about it! YO!

  • LOL new yorkers sound like regular americans LOL ppl always say we talk like that ! we do not xD

  • Only trashy people in NY speak like that...just saying

  • People get offended too easily. You got it down pretty nicely for a non NYer.

  • New Jersey accents are nice.

  • GGGRRRRR! Stupid. Fred. Comercial.

  • lol

  • Frankly this is kinda offensive....NYers don't talk the same. Even remotely. I'm from upstate and we're nothing like that.

  • i dont think we talk like that...

  • m .im a new yorker lived lived all my life in new york. we have a new york accent its kinda rude but only to tourists. and its not necessary to sound like italian mobster.

  • they said its one kind of a new york accent

  • I love people in NYC, if you think New Yorkers are rude then you should go to Utah. People in utah are rude. Just a bunch of stupid, rude mormans who think they are better than everyone else. when in reality they are just baby raping, closet polygemists.

  • Why does everyone say ppl in NYC are unkind. And if so, you've obviously never been to some places in Europe !

  • i come from new york and in no way do i soung italian or a mobster. obviously you people have nver been to new york,

  • Stop complaining. you sound like that without noticing. you probably think think us californianstalk weird but we dont notice anything weird

  • i don't sound like that!

  • hang on... take a deep breath. she's saying that everyone's accent is an almagation of their cultural background and neighborhood. no one is a pinpoint version of one of these examples. that's why they are just examples.

  • I'm from the Bronx and i don't speak like that

  • there are differnt variations of New York accent depending on your ethnic background..they're doing the typical italian NY kind

  • i think shes mixing us up with new jersey or something..

  • Not even close.

  • Sounds too phony. These teachers get the general idea, but they can't really pull it off. If they ever came into one of our neighborhoods, we'd pin it in a minute.

  • @hiramchik loL

  • so if i want to sound like a fucking jerkoff i will leave new york and find these to fucking retards, bitch your a retard stop watching movies.

  • That's not a new York accent.

  • That is defenet

  • It sounds fake. Like a stereotypical accent.

  • we don't talk like that?

  • Ok, then I'm relieved, my internet connection lagged just after she said "g'day, how's it going?" and I was like "What? NYC accent? this sounds like an Aussie accent lol".

  • you sound like your from the italian mafia....i've lived in new york all of my life and no one talks like this.

  • ok seriously, I never heard anyone talk like that in New York! kinda funny, though

  • She actually has a very good ear for accents! I know most of them were exaggerated, but she nailed them all! Good for her!

  • lol i had a blast watchin this

  • dude this is sooooooooo ridiculous we dont talk like that

  • forget bout it

  • Why is the default New Yorker accent an Italian Brooklyn accent?

That's not what most people in New York City sound like. I've lived here for 23 years and I've met only a small handful of people who sound like that--most of them are over the age of 50. The only thing about your default New Yorker accent that's even close to universal is the "t's sound like d's" bit...the rest of it is really outdated and inaccurate.

  • @SunMoonAndSpoon the t as a d is definite, I never even realized until people from Chicago stopped me mid speech and asked me to "say a baby cat" to which I responded with our typical "kiddin" ... they picked up on that pretty quick, took me 24 years to notice.. "i gadda go to manhaddan layda"

  • Absolute retarded. The "accents" that they are making are probably from 50-70 years ago. It's so dumb that they think New Yorkers talk that way when they probably haven't been in New York long enough to see how we speak. Yes it's a stereotype, but they could at least get their facts straight that this is not how New Yorkers speak like. Not even close.

  • My bestie lives in NY,Brooklyn and she doesn't talk like this -.-

  • This is how foriegn ppl talk in ny !!

  • Do we New Yorkers really sound like that?

  • umm last time i checked new yourkers dont talk like italian mobsters....

  • @ThePogokiller lol XD

  • stupid aussie ginger!

  • I'm offended, I lived in New York all my life. I don't sound like an Italian Mobster, and I come from the Bronx.

  • @Drbolla345 agreed. Not even close. The only thing we all have in common is maybe the aww sound in coffee/sausage/off/water .. but, besides that, ppl from diff parts talk pretty distinct, and def not like italian mobsters

  • Uum Excuse me to all you people watching and is from NY Come your balls you don't knoe how you sound so STFU Thankss and I'm from jersey and I can here the jersey accent in jersey people

  • i hate these videos! i live near nyc and this is so stereotipocal! i deffinaitly dont talk like im from brooklyn!

  • Bugs Bunny XD

  • DUMB ASS WE DONT TALK LIKE THAT

  • I know 4 accents and i can speak them if i wunt and i know the new york accent usa southern accent british accent and french accent and i also can read the old egypt writing and read greek

  • Please tell me I don't actually sound like this to anyone from outside New York. If I do, it explains a lot...

  • We don't talk like that. It's almost offensive. We don't all sound straight from the godfather. Shit.

  • Da fuck we dont talk like dat

  • @datfyegirl17 It's a stereotype, lol. Most people from New York don't talk like that but the stereotype spawned out of films that come from areas in New York where people talked like that. Also it's just funny. *"Eyh, I'm walking he'ya!"*

  • Marry Jane Watson :))

  • I been living in New York City my entire life and I think that accent is just a stereo typical rarity in the city, I don't talk exactly like that! somethings like the bottles of water are close

    "bottles" new Yorker= bodle

  • Dude, she says she doesn't know how to do the accent and she already has it down. She's doing way better than I can. I can't make the accent come out.

  • so funny!!!

  • Comment removed

  • are you fuking kidding me.....get the fuk outta here. don't imitate us. your asking for a beatdown

  • why would i want a bottle of water fo'?

  • We don't talk like that you dumb asses. You obviously need to visit new work

  • yeah, not all people have these accents, but some do...My uncle from Brooklyn and has a very thick accent. It IS stereotypical saying ALL people from NY speak this way, but it is true saying there are people who do. It's not a bad thing.

  • @mirandaburn I like that accent... it's funny. And SO different from texan accent! You seem from a different country LOL, no offense.

  • most ppl say loi-yer instead of law-yer thanks to NYers. southern ppl tend to say it right go figure (i'm from chicago lol)

  • :( I've lost my New York accent. I'm tryin to get it back though

  • Hey all people who wrote something like this is a pice of shit. The lady just told her opinion like the rest of you guys when you guys said it wasnt true or New Yorker arent rude. But you have to realize that she thought it wasnt a big deal so give her a break and MABYE she might make a video to say sorry.

  • WTF kinda bullshit is this?? I'm from LA and I talk with a NY accent and I don't talk anything like that, Eminem and Nas influenced the accent on me and I picked up on it

  • I'm from Long Island N.Y. This video is complete bullshit. Only TV and Movie Nyers talk like this. Yes New Yorkers definately have an accent, but these people make us look like idiots.

  • i hate wen people think of a NYC accent as being from Brooklyn n ur Italian---wth im from manhattan n im blacc white n spanish -__- sooooo

  • I'm a New Yorker and proud of it but I have to say that this accent ONLY seems to be an Italian New York City accent mostly found in the Long Island area.

This accent is NOT an overall general New York accent...it's just ONE of the New York accents. I don't speak like THIS but I do say "New Yawk"..."Lawng Island" emphasizing on the "a". =)

  • @brainblast4207 Maybe if you paid attention, you would have noticed that the woman on the left had already said that

  • @brainblast4207 I agree, this video is insulting. Makes us sound like morons.

  • @brainblast4207 You do realize that people who make these videos are going to exaggerate the accent to make a point right and illustrate the differences?

  • @brainblast4207 why don't you shut your trap, townie

  • LMAO... that is not a NY Accent, thats a "Good Father" Accent!!!!

  • Aaah American accents! It makes me confused how people can match an accent to a state.

Well, I suppose I've never tried.

  • I hate it when people talk shit about New Yorkers. I see some below. T______T

  • this sounds lovely because im working on a fake new york accent. im going as ace from the gangreen gang (powerpuff girls) for halloween and i want to make sure i'm doing it properly.

  • not ny

  • this is like an italian new york accent.

  • ....Do I really sound that ignorant? T^T

  • @IalwaysDropMySpoons What're you talking about ignorant, if you speak New Yorker you've gotta be prideful, don't let popular opinion get you down, we've had more famous New Yorkers than anywhere else has had famous people, so what if we're not the "prestige" American dialect anymore, who actually wants to talk like a faggy Californian anyway.

  • @zekabitencourt I'm pretty sure a black person doesn't talk like that you idiot. And you don't have to say nigger. Let's be more civil than that.

  • Little bottles of water? wtf

  • Making us look like some rude ass people, dawg....

  • LMAO

  • @roblox84

LOL. You're a twat for saying that. Every place has an accent when being affiliated with the English language. Even you have an accent, it's just not noticible to you. Besides, people from New York (like myself) are not rude, we're just straight forward and say how it is. The "fowgewtabut ett" is Italian mobster. If you want to get beat up you can talk like that. If you want to be a New Yorker, come to New York and see for yourself. It's a really nice place, afterall.

  • aaahhhhaaaahhaaaa!! LOL. New York is full of twats.

  • That's not a New York accent that is an Italian mobster/ Jersey accent. A New York accent isn't that thick.

  • If everyone spoke this way out here, no one would have a job!

Yes a "Cawfee" or a "Tawking" slips out every now and then when I'm speaking very quickly, but as a native New Yorker, I don't walk around the city asking people to "Give me suga foa ma cawfee or a hot chawclit."

The only way this can be helpful is if you have an upcoming role in Mob Wives. Otherwise, please just come to this city speaking as you would in your hometown. We welcome the diversity.

  • i feel so sad because dis is a disgrace to all new yorkers even me

  • When they say "coffee" i jsut want to pass out.

  • A disgrace to my NY accent........dats a Jersey type accent.

  • wow two fucking morons, this is so sad

  • Sounds like a Italian accent

  • I guess the point is that nobody talks with those accents anymore. A person's accent changes over time, so even old timers who used to talk like that probably have different accents by now.

  • first of all that is a jersey accent not a NY accent and Im from NY and robert deniro is italian

  • @therealjanmarisp No... I am from New Jersey, your a total asshole for assuming thats a "jersey" accent. The accent isn't from Jersey, or NY, its an Italian mobster accent derived from no specific region

  • That is sooo not how we talk...

  • i love your hair!!!

  • "fowgewtabut ett" is what Ialians from NJ talk. Wow... stereotypes.

  • i'm from long island and i don't talk like that.

  • wow, thats not how i talk....

  • its technically not racist or anything because she said that accent was only from 1st and 2nd generation new yorker's. anyway, i'm not offended i thought this video was rather funny.

  • Thats racist im newyork born and raised i dont talk lyk that at all

  • thats not how i talk..

  • what kind of accent is tht! thats an insult to us we dont talk like this. wat r u trying to talk like the mob? UR NOT COOL

  • I've never liked the American accent , sounds lazy and nasally and so annoying.

  • at first she sounded like she was from minnesota

  • those accents sound kinda retarded! i love my accent, but this makes it sound so bad.

  • these are exaggereated ethics stereotypes and they don't come from a place of truth.

  • AY! DUD DUD. YA GAT ANY LIDDLE BODDLES OF WARDA

  • @slash10170 what does warda mean?

  • @giulicoldplay mobster water

  • @kittymanmanson1 ok thanks

  • people from new york are not rude we're just straight forward say it how it is
